I’ve been here for 2 years now and overall i’m okay with it.close from school with various stores around with a very amazing and friendly staff.would recommend

It’s a nice place to leave and I have chance to meet really great roommates while having my own private space also ️

The service at foundy is very much smooth and fast. They respond to my queries asap and solve them as well. The rooms here are well equipped as well. And staff is friendly too.

Honestly 1 star is also too much for this place. I’ve had the worst experience living here. If you’re new to this city or country especially international students don’t even consider this place to live because the management is the worst management I’ve ever seen. They will trick you in renting a house and then make your life miserable. They don’t respond to calls. They don’t respond to complaints. And then they expect us to pay our rent on time. Because money is all they want no matter your living environment at the place.

So, think twice if you’re going to rent a place here.

Very bad move in experience. The room that I was allocated was good but the hall was as messed up as it can be. The fridge and the bathroom were really bad. The management said they couldn’t do anything regarding it. The only option I have is to give the lease to someone else and move out from here, since it is a 1 year lease. So, please don’t just look at the sample room they show and decide to move in. Only good option would be if all people in your room decide to move in together. I hope at least then they will clean the whole unit. The best thing is the location, near to the university and easily accessible by bus. All the negative reviews of this place is true regarding cold water in the shower, pests in the building etc.

Please don’t come in to 1805 building. I will definitely not recommend anyone coming here.

Overall, not impressed so far. After touring the building in late Summer I decided I would stay there because of the friendly staff I encountered and the spacious room size in comparison to small college resident rooms, which are typically priced higher. I had read on reviews prior to my tour that they have had an issue with coakroches in the past. I made sure to ask them about there current situation with the coakroach infestation on the tour, and they ensured me that they take their reviews very seriously and since then have dealt with the coakroach problem. This sounded promising, so I continued with my lease. I have now been there 3 weeks and am becoming very disturbed and SEVERELY disappointed with the number of cockroaches in our unit. On a daily basis we find several on our kitchen counters, bathroom, and even in our bedrooms, including under the mattress. On move in day we were promised cleaned and sanitized rooms, however I can confirm it did not appear that way at all. There was dust and film on the desks, blinds and bed. The cleanliness and infestation of cockroaches is what disappointments me the most and is the reason I will not be returning to live here next year. Other then that I have been impressed with maintenance, staff friendliness and the wifi is extremely fast, (after being completely down and unusable for the first day I moved in). I wish I could recommend this place to students looking for housing, because minus the bugs it‘s a great place to live. However, if you are looking to not live amongst cockroaches, please find a different option.

Terrible place, management screws over tenants at any chance they can. They don't offer any services, they lie about cleaning services, general maintence is terrible. Cockroach infested, terrible smelling. Recommend to no one.

The place is good for its price. But the elevator is slow as hell. Also, the rooms small and if you are moving in with a roommates in the suite then its going to be hella nasty. My biggest advice would be move in with someone that you know or move in a suite that doesn’t have anyone inside and everyone is new. Cuz that way you can get completely new and odourless suite. It’s good for it’s price that’s all I going to say. It’s not the best but not worst either and there are bus frequency and everything close by lmk if you this help

This residence looks ghetto from the outside and it is even worse from the inside. Elevator is extremely slow even though there is only 4 floors and smells like sweat inside. The bathrooms are filled with insects and barely any water comes out of the shower. It’s been 3 weeks and nobody came to fix my door lock even though I reminded them several times. Heater and AC does not work for many rooms and still the management does nothing about it. Half the entrance doors to the building don’t even open. Management has time and money to organize outdoor events but they do not do anything to solve the problems we are facing. Management also likes to act nice and friendly before u sign the lease but after u are a resident, they ignore your emails and don’t pick up ur calls. I understand that the price is cheaper compared to other companies but they at least have to provide us with basic necessities such as a working AC or heater and a working door lock.

Foundry only cares about RENT and not their tenants. It used to be a better management 3 years ago until it go bought over. The people at the office can smile in your face to tell you they will deliver on air-conditioning, complaints, faulty fridges or bad roommates but they never do.

BE MORE PEOPLE CENTRED FOUNDRY, thats all we ask!

Very decent experience and good accommodation pricing. Management is super nice. I probably suggest not choosing the first floor because of idiots knocking on the windows at 3AM. Other than that the places is great. Highly recommend it.

For just arrived international student - perfect. It is not expensive, but decent room and other shared space.
Team of foundry are really nice people, who are interested to help you.
2 minutes away from college and cool forest, also not far away bus stops.
There is some tiny issues, but for $555 i have pretty big room, so it is the biggest plus.

They showed me pictures of foundry Simcoe before I moved in. They promised a lot of things that I never ended up getting then wouldn't let me get out of the lease. Management are scumbags. Also if we plugged too many things into the outlets our power would go out. Place is Hella ghetto too.

Cockroach infestation for over a year and a half. They bring people in to "spray" but what they're spraying is just RAID and actually doesn't work. Hundreds of roaches in the suite every night. (Many others who had lived there experienced this too).

Called their offices multiple times during the year, and no one picks up (for months). No staff in the building to help with tenant issues either even though they say there is always someone within the building. Really difficult to get a hold of.

The contract also explicitly stated biweekly cleaning services; staff came to clean common areas every month and a half and left out the bathroom (we would clean weekly, but they still need to come and do it if it's in there like come on man).

Changed from 8 month lease to 1 year lease to purposely put students in the most unfavourable position. Rent was increased as well, with much less being offered. No more visitor parking either.

They're lucky they're close to the university.because that's probably the only good thing about Foundry. Don't live here.

*** Before you respond to this message, Foundry Management, I had visited many times. I'm not the tenant. I also helped friends try to get in contact with you but was a lost cause. I really don't want to read a response from you because your responses are fake and not welcomed.

The management is super helpful and friendly and responds to any and all requests very quickly. Very quite building and the units are quite large for the low amount that you are paying!

Ive lived here for almost 3 years and since the new management took over about a year ago its been a nightmare. I was asked to clear my room so a new tenant can move in when I went to hand the key they said keep it because no one is taking taking it. Couldn't tell me before I do a major clean up or move.
Extremely unprofessional. No respect of any sort. And now the building is no longer a just students its anyone can move in. Can't wait to leave.

Be prepared to receive legal threats without any reason!

Today there was an N4 given for our Room regardless of the rent being paid ahead of time. After calling Holly Mchugh who signed the sent N4, she was clueless and had no idea how to respond. Instead of apologising she rudely rushed to hang up the phone.

It was very unprofessional and leads to complete distrust with the staff working at Foundry.

Don’t fall into the trap of signing a lease with them as their unprofessionalism coupled with a complete lack of even the basic amenities like internet only add to the frustration of stay at Foundry.

Overall, the living conditions are fine but the problem is they advertise free services such as internet and housekeeping even though those are non-existent. The Wi-Fi is completely unstable meaning they encourage residents to get their own provider. So why advertise it as an amenity if it does not work? I have yet to see any housekeepers clean the washrooms since I have moved in, leading me to believe they are no longer under contract. I also do not like how this staff replies to users with 1 star reviews by mentioning some private or personal information. I understand if they cannot reach them through other means but it seems very unprofessional the way they respond to certain issues.

The bedrooms are wonderful and it's conveniently close to campus which is why I believe this place does not deserve 1 or 2 stars. However, there needs to be better communication about the services we receive in this residence.
