Very few seats have the full viewing experience, the food and drinks are priced quite high and the wait times are quite long to place an order/collect the order placed online.

Amazing acoustics and the view of the stage is fantastic from almost everywhere. Great venue to see a performance.

Not sold on the venue for a ballet. Very cold and removed from the stage Loved the Sony centre much more. Cozy and intimate

Saw La Boheme. Beautiful music from Puccini, great singing, lovely stage sets and a fantastic facility.

Beautiful venue! Staff are amazing. There is not a bad seat in the house! Love going there to watch ballet performances. Everyone makes you feel like you are welcome!

Beautiful venue for a National Ballet of Canada performance (The Nutcracker). The standing room is only $12 with reasonable view (the 3rd ring) and plenty space to lean on the wooden bar which has an individual hook for a jacket and bag. You should pre-order your drink for intermission of a popular performance prior to it begins, otherwise you would be in a long line and wouldn't have enough time to enjoy your drink. The story time offered before the performance in a beautiful location on the staircase seats looking over University avenue.

An asset for the city of Toronto. The Four Seasons Centre offers numerous cultural events throughout the year, and, frankly, if you are able to plan in advance, the prices are perfectly reasonable! A great opportunity to diffuse cultural knowledge throughout the whole city. We would go there often and I think that to this day, I mostly got my love for the arts thanks to this superb location. Located in downtown Toronto, near great restaurants, there’s really nothing to add to this place. The organization is great and the crowd is managed smoothly.

Watched a lovely opera. Contemporary twists in gender roles for actors. Canadian opera is doing well.

Beautiful centre. Very comfortable seating, amazing to watch ballet. Go early to hear them talk about the show before on the stairs.
Also very beautiful from the outside.

Easy to get to on public transit, beautiful hall and even nicer lobby full of eye-catching architectural features.
15 April 2020 1:22
I went there to see a dance show and it was phenomenal. The architecture of the centre is really beautiful. The staff is kind and the boutique is awesome. I really liked the place and the show!

Such a lovely venue! Worth starting at the top and working your way down if it's your first visit.
05 April 2020 9:16
Easy access, beautiful space, excellent sight-lines and acoustics. Interesting crowd - good for people-watching!
04 April 2020 17:21
The place is really nice. The Opera Hansel and Gretel was in the other hand really weak in terms of art direction, decor and play choices. Very disappointing for such a great theater. Why in the world did they choose to set the play in Toronto suburbs? Wtf

What a beautiful venue! We saw a spectacular performance of The Nutcracker on December 31st! A special Mother and Daughter outing to end 2019. Give yourself some extra time if you have mobility issues, there are no restrooms on the ground floor.

I don't know of any other place you can publicly weep over beautiful art without being judged, while also rubbing shoulders with Karen Kain.

As always, an amazing performance at the Four Seasons. The Barber of Seville. Funny and beautiful.
19 March 2020 10:29
Everything is fine! Unfortunately there are no mirrors near the wardrobe. Spectators are not willing to hand over outerwear into the wardrobe. And as you know, the theater begins with a hanger.
17 March 2020 8:19
Roomy and modern. I took my class there to see an Opera and the venue was not overcrowded even though many schools were there. The staff are all very welcoming. I've also been there on my personal time to watch a ballet and again, a wonderful space. Great sound and many areas for photo ops.

Just loved this beautiful building and atmosphere. We saw Hansel and Gretel. The stage sets was splendidly imagined and produced. The performance as a whole was well done and had some beautiful twists and details. Everyone should experience a performance here.

Very elegant building with good acoustics and amazing views. Very few seats are limited visibility (very back of orchestra level has no view of surtitles, few seats on extreme side have electrical installation partially blocking side of stage view). Seats are very comfortable, signage is good, ushers are present (few more might be good). Concession is weak part - only one canadian winery, and not a good one; san Pellegrino is only other option, with occasional beer. Savory options are mostly non existent, and sweet options are limited to cookies.

I was invited to one of their free sessions this month, accompanying students from Victoria International Ballet Academy. It was a voice and piano recital. Great experience!

17 May 2019 18:49
Nice place. And the leg room! What leg room! It's incredible! Go just for the leg room. The sound was good too. I'd include a picture of the stage but I was explicitly told by an usher that I wasn't allowed to take pictures of the stage before or during the performance. So here's a picture of a pot hole instead.
10 May 2019 7:53
Incredible venue to showcase the last show of shen yun, every year new choreography and theme, spectacular show. Be prepare to be wow!
05 May 2019 18:18
Great location. There are parking lots all around and close by. Staff is always polite courteous and helpful. The stage, musicians and dancers are always great.
04 May 2019 15:04
Went to see Shen Yun. Awesome performance. The only hiccups with this venue is some of the staff who are racist. Had an encounter with two different female employees. I went to ask the first lady a question and she immediately rolled her eyes when I opened my mouth and walked away. Then the other one was so rude, especially when we mentioned we had box seats. She asked are you sure. Then took our programs away saying "YOU" won't be needing these. SMH. The behavior of these staff members ruined our night out with the family

Amazing performance by the National Ballet of Canada. Alice on Wonderland was phenomenal. The music, choreography and scenery were superb.
26 April 2019 3:46
Fantastic venue! I really loved the show I saw, and the venue is expertly managed. I never felt crowded or had to wait in long lines, everything was smooth and efficient. The architecture is incredible.
16 April 2019 19:48
The ballets held there are to die for, the food at intermission are cute and small and their seats are comfortable. I love it.
07 April 2019 13:20
One of the most beautiful buildings in Toronto. Well worth a visit, especially if there is a good show on. The ballet company has never disappointed.
02 April 2019 10:23
My first show here did not disappoint. The beauty of the building accentuates perfectly the art on stage. A Toronto gem.
31 March 2019 6:10
Staff were extremely courteous and helpful with my father, who has limited mobility and requires a walker.

Greated by smiling faces holding the door and accepting our tickets my daughter and I entered the high ceiling lobby of the Four Season centre for the Performing Arts on Saturday afternoon Feb 23,2019.   Heading down to the lower level we check our coats and use the washrooms,  which are very clean.    A long bar on the lobby level allows us to pre purchase our intermission chicken sandwich and charcuterie, along with red wine. Prices are a tad steep, a glass of wine is $15, but not out of the ordinary for Toronto.

Ring 4 is high and set back, but we had a full view of the stage and most of the orchestra pit.   The surtitles are prefect to translate Mozart's Italian for us.   That is good, because Cosi fan Tutte is funny!   The sound is good but the sound stage is narrow probably due to the height.

Our intermission lunch comes in plastic clamshells.   The sandwich is large and the charcuterie plate has olives and pickels and all kinds of cured meats.   Together they re more food than we can handle.   There is just enough time to eat and drink the wine before the intermission bell becomes us back inside. A quick trip to the bathroom and we get seated just as the lights are going down.

At the end of the opera and after many minutes of clapping subsides, we gather our coats, which is very orderly and efficient.   We exit the way we came,  and head to our parking underneath Nathan Philips Square.   We enjoyed our time immensely.

TIPS

"Moose" at NPS is the closest to the Four Seasons.

Pre-order your food and drinks

Get there early!

Intermission goes by quickly, plan accordingly.

Rent opera glasses if you are seated in Ring 4 or 5.   $6

You can take a staircase down to Richmond Street from Door C.   At the lobby level you can open a door past the medical supplies that opens into the main lobby.

Lovely atmosphere, pleasant staff, gorgeous architecture, and a simple ticket pickup. If you’re under 30 like me just go already - theres a promotion that gives a discount to under 30 so why wait to check out an opera downtown? It’s a great date night too.

This performing centre is relatively small and intimate, which I think is great for watching performances. I've seen the Nutcracker at this centre many times and even in Ring 4 all the way in the back, I could see the performance clearly.there really isn't a bad seat here.

Always a treat to go to the ballet! The Four Seasons Centre is incredibly elegant and well prepared. I go there every year (at least once) for a show and am always impressed.
