Fraser Lake Camp

Way too religious! My daughter enjoyed the camp activities but found the intense focus on Christianity to be surprising and uncomfortable. We feel very strongly that the camp is misleading in their marketing and the information provided to families. I presumed that chapel was optional but my daughter did not feel that it was. Grace is said before meals and campfire songs are all religious in nature. My daughter was surprised and uncomfortable. Her Jewish cabin mate and friend was even more upset because she did not think she was attending a religious based camp. If you’re running a Christian religion focused camp, be honest and up front about it. We were shocked that there was so much focus on religion when my daughter came home. She does not want to go back.

My son just came home from his very first summer camp here. He absolutely loved the experience and said it was amazing. I had a recommendation from a soccer Mom to come here. There was so many activities. The camp staff and camp councillors are great. The location is great with many fun lake activities. It’s highly organized and structured. I would highly recommend this camp. Loved it!

Went to this camp as a child and continue to go during family camp session with my son. This place has always been like home to me and watching it evolve over the years has made me super proud of all the staff who continuously make it better and better. Each year seems like there's always improvements to make it a safer place for all, especially with the inclusivity and things they come up with ways to make it comfortable for anyone with any kind of neurodivergent needs such as a sensory room for anyone that might be feeling overwhelmed by all the usual camp bustling. I would highly and forever recommend this camp to anyone considering camp for their kids.

My son attended last summer (2022) and didn't have a great experience. His cabin had boys whose ages ranged from 8-12 which was odd to have younger boys with older boys. The counsellor in charge of the cabin was only 15 years old. A 15 year old in charge of 12 year olds! The older boys were bullying the younger boys and it was not well managed. Perhaps they were short staffed so they had to hire a 15 year old but it wasn't right. We won't be back.
