Fratelli Village Pizzeria

Fratelli’s is by far the only Italian place our family dines at. If you have not been here please come. I went to a so called Italian place in Vaughan yesterday. Trust me no 9 baci there. I even left a review telling all to come to Fratelli’s it’s worth the drive. I have been a patron since 2003 and I tell you the brothers who age like fine wine and cook like heaven. Not to mention Sal my fav who always greets you like famiglia

Great service, food, and atmosphere. I always feel welcomed when I walk in. Their food selection of pizza and pasta is incredible along with their tiramisu. You have to try it! I'm a regular here and I will be back again.

Delicious, quick and friendly. Ordered a half a dozen pizzas for a girls night, I was amazed when they said we could p/u in 15 minutes. Excellent service. The pizzas are excellent, wood fired Deliciousness.

We just visited this restaurant for the first time and had a wonderful experience. We were served by a very kind gentleman who was very pleasant. We had the spinach salad, prima vera pizza and margharita pizza. All 3 items were delicious! We look forward to coming back again soon. Definitely recommend if you haven't tried Fratelli Village Pizzeria!

Have been here a few times over the years, not by choice, for occasions and was underwhelmed each time. Not much food for the price and not much flavour. The red sauce is very thin, not what it should be.

This store is family owned and was honestly such a wonderful experience. The store owner goes to every table to ask how our dining experience was.

I got the Risotto Siciliano, and it was so good, I had a taste of all the risottos and each one was delicious, I recommend going even if there if a wait line!

My rating is because of a few factors: if I could give 2.5 I would so know this is meant to be a 2.5!

1- we got sat at a horrible table in the far corner - I can overlook this I get it because they were busy however I’m finding it very difficult to do so because people were passing by, it was very noisy, and the server kept forgetting us.

2- Food was good, honestly not bad at all- good portions and authentic Italian flavours. Pasta was perfectly Al dente and the rapini was also fabulous!
Pizza however was so burnt and when I brought it up to one of the servers not our server he told me it’s a wood burning oven and basically that’s how it is.which is not true. A real pizzaiolo knows to turn the pizza on the paletta and make it so it’s not so burnt- a little black is expected but this was way more than and not edible.

3- our server was a little abrasive and not really into providing an experience, didn’t introduce himself and left 0 personal touch.
I don’t only go out to eat for the food but also for the vibes and experience - he seemed a little stressed while the owner was just standing around telling people what table to buss and clean and giving the occasional “ GOOD JOB” to the kitchen.

The ambience was good, it was busy and lively which is good, but too many little things that made the experience a little underwhelming.

Might give it a second try. Could have been an off night.

Highly recommend!
The place feels casual, the owner is very welcoming, the service is very warm, the food wow! Added bonus: they serve really fast. Sat down at 505pm, already eating by 525pm.
Recommend the margherita pizza (super stringy cheese) and fried calamari! Their pesto pasta is also very saucy and cheesy.
Do not recommend: mixed green, it was 10$ but it was really just so so nothing special and didn't feel like it was enough.

I’ve never had such amazing pasta. My husband and I shared the fried calamari, pesto penne fratelli and the fratelli pizza and everything was absolutely amazing. Our server Jason and the owner Sal were awesome. This was our first time here and we will be back. Thanks so much! Couldn’t have had a better experience. I literally wrote a review within 10 minutes of leaving this place because we were so satisfied lol

Honestly the best pizza and pasta i've ever had. I came here for my birthday and was served by Jason. Service was great and food was hands down the best pizza and pasta i've ever eaten. The owner Sal and Jason, you guys were great. Amazing place. Thank you ️

This used to be our fav go to place for Italian. However their consistency and taste tends to be up and down. Sometimes it's amazingly delicious sometimes super bland. Don't know if chefs are constantly changing, however taste changes everytime we have visited.

Love the freshly made pizzas and pastas here! We always love dining in at Fratellis, the fried calamari is the my favourite appetizer. They always make it perfect, cooked perfectly and not too crispy. Also check out the dessert menu, they have a great selection. The service is always prompt and friendly.

The service is as great as the food?

Sicilian Pizza was a let down. The actual meat was cold cuts and the pizza seemed as if it was made in a rush. This was our first time here and we felt we were just rushed out. If you are looking for authentic Italian pizza this isn't really the place.

I had noticed this Pizza place a week ago but didn't go in, mistake number one. Fratelli's is a really nice place. Fratelli's has a great ambiance and a wonderful wait staff. I ordered their special which was a white pizza with grilled chicken it was excellent.
Stop by Fratelli's order a stone oven baked pizza you won't be disappointed.
Maybe you'll meet Chunk and the Goonies while you're there.

A risotto is a dish that requires skilled chefs to understand the texture of rice and the blending of ingredients to bring out that texture.

Fratelli chefs didnt even cook the rice, let alone make a risotto from it. It was hard to bite through.

You can't blame them for taking money from uninformed customers, so beware of buying food here - it's faster to just throw your money into the garbage.

The food, and service was just impeccable. We were lucky to seating. Sal came out to speak to us and ask if there was anything he could do to make our experience even better. His lovely daughter was our server and she was very attentive. The staff here is overall amazing.

I'm in love with Fratelli pizza! So many delicious pizza choices (Funghi and Popeye are 2 faves), the grilled veggies, and the fried calamari with lemon dip. And they're so friendly too. Nice location. I hope they're around for a long time.

Quality ingredients quality service and quality food. Not much else you can ask for from a family owned Italian restaurant.

1 star is not for the food but for the staff. Food was okay. Not great or bad. Because it's wood oven cooked some people may hype over it. Actually what happened was, I went there with my friend and we were waiting to order. After waiting for some time a staff came out to take the order, we asked for a menu. He invited us in and showed us the menu in the wall. While we were checking, this employee went to attend other customers. But after he left another employee came and asked us to go out, it was rude. We know it's covid, precautions needed, and we will appreciate that, we were wearing the masks. But in reality there were many people inside the store, even without wearing a mask and not at all following social distancing, talking to each other. Anyway we came out and waited. For a long time nobody came to take the orders. Never going to go back here. Their food doesn't worth the humiliation.: (

Had my first experience a few days ago. Ordered a pizza. I must say, this is the same pizza you get right in Italy. It was just perfect. Crispy wood crust, beautiful fresh tomato base and much love and care. I reccomend for sure. Will be back!

One of the best hidden gems in Toronto! This place is located on the Kingston road and doesn’t have the street front property.
But boy does their food speak for it self!

Last week was the first time in this magnificent restaurant. But It is definitely not the last time. We enjoyed the evening a lot with the good service, with the excellent meal and wine and with the decent payment. We will surely go back there again.

I don’t know how they do it, but they nail pizza every single time I order it! Very delicious food!

We have frequently gone there for 10yrs and this was by far the worst experience so far. The problem was that on Sundays Sal wasn't there so when I complained the pizza was burnt the waitress made a funny face as if she cant say anything because the other owner was in the kitchen JOKE! A lesson in customer service should suffice.

Great local eatery. You'll be greeted at the door by Sal - and you can be sure that Sal will never forget you.

A very nice establishment in the Highland Creek area. Although the restaurant is always busy, I strongly believe it's worth the wait. The food is some of the best Italian food in the City. The portions are a bit on the smaller side but what are you going to do.

On the downside we had to wait a little over 30 minutes for a table but well worth it! Great ambiance and food. Fantastic customer service. We shared a salad and pizza for 2 and were stuffed. The tiramisu was to die for! Glad I found this hidden gem!

The best Pizza I ever had!
I've been to this restaurant while on vacation 8-10 years ago, and to this day it still holds the best pizza ever trophy! Don't be fooled by the "worn-out street mall" exterior appearance, it's an experience not to be missed. Nothing spectacular about the decor, and it's a bit crowded in there, so not the best place if you want a lot of privacy. (Obviously when you serve food this good, the word gets around and you need to deal with popularity!) Staff is courteous, service is fast considering the number of customers. Real stone oven Pizza + wine = awesome!

Excellent pizza place for the area! Downtown quality (with downtown prices) in a friendly neighborhood. If you are in the area and you want high quality pizza, this is the place to be.

My wife and I hadn't been to Fratelli's for almost a year (life does that to you sometimes), yet Sal (Salvatore) greeted us without missing a beat. My go-to pizza is the "funghi" (tomato sauce, mushrooms, ham and mozzarella). Their wood oven pizza has yet to disappoint me in the 14 years I have been going to this Italian eatery in Scarborough's east end (Highland Creek). My wife had the seared salmon filet (She's more adventurous than me and therefore has travelled Fratelli's menu extensively.), which she thoroughly enjoyed. As always the service was attentive and prices slightly below reasonable when compared to the value received. If you are ever in the neighbourhood, I strongly suggest you drop into Fratelli's for an eating experience that will start you on the journey to becoming a regular.

This Italian restaurant is a hidden gem. Great food, great service and an excellent owner who constantly checks on his clients to make sure they’re enjoying their food or being well taken care. I also love the fact that they make their pizza in a wood oven which is hard to find nowadays. Definitely coming back again and again!

Amazing food. Often VERY busy, so we don't eat in often, but we call ahead and take out all the time.

Okay Italian meals. Appears that the regulars get good service. Others not so much. Been there several times and always felt neglected as if they didn't care whether we were there or not. Now go to Amici's in Pickering.

Nice décor. Pasta was very nice and you can get an oven cooked pizza. I wish there was beer in tap instead of just bottles. Peroni would be cool.

Love this place! It's become one of my go-to spots. Conveniently located and always greeted by the owner or a friendly staff member. It can get busy as it's a popular spot on peak days so get there on time.

Absolutely loved the food! Took my husband here for his birthday. The restaurant was jam packed with people and loud, but it was worth it! The manager/owner was very nice.

I really do not understand how this restaurant has this high rating. My wife, kid and my friend were here for dinner Friday night at 9.25 pm (the restaurant closes at 10pm). My friend walked in first, and they were going to seat us. We have been here with our friends in the past at 9.45pm and they accommodated us. This is very important to note for what follows:

Keep in mind the place was barely busy at this time. As soon as the waitress saw me walking in with my kid and wife, her whole stance changed and she was like “the kitchen is closed”. “You can take-out though”. How can the kitchen be closed yet they can give us or make food for take out? They clearly didn’t want to encourage us to dine in with my kid and they didn’t like our race (We are brown people), a bit of discrimination on both fronts. We decided not to give them business and plan to vent this experience out in social media.

Hope people stop eating at this arrogant, racist restaurant.

Food was fantastic, I ordered the salmon with veg. The salmon was cooked perfectly with a nice crust and sender an flaky on the inside. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable. Own was on hand, he was positive and friendly giving the restaurant a great vibe.

Perfect waiter, perfect atmosphere, not so perfect food. The pasta is not well seasoned and the dessert is well beyond perfect.

My husband came across this restaurant and took me for my birthday. We had the seafood platter, lamb, pizza, creme brulee and hazlenut gelato. Everything was absolutely delicious. The service was prompt and I couldn't wait to go again. We dont typically eat out often, but found ourselves back one week later to celebrate my dads birthday and again were very pleased with the food. We have recommended this restaurant to many friends and cant wait to visit again.
