Very nice small store. Has very many different cameras and lots of accessories. Great service and very helpful.

Not one to normally do something like this but I am just so disappointed. I brought 3 rolls of black and white 35mm film for processing and scanning and I was charged $75, it took a MONTH, and the scans were covered in dust. I asked for re-scans, pointing out where it was especially problematic, and the new scans were just as dust covered, but on different images. When I complained, I was dismissed, essentially gaslit by being told they were stains and then told my images were incorrectly exposed. No scanning revisions, refunds, or efforts to make anything better. Very disappointed.

The owner was so sweet, really helped me out getting a battery charged for my trip! Got so many cool photos thanks to this shop.

If you're looking for a 'real' camera shop, look no further. This small business has been around for decades and when you walk through the door, you're almost overwhelmed by the sheer scope of all things photography.
While camera shops, and online shops, are suffering a severe shortage of cameras, Frederick's has a good selection of used equipment and, in the world of photography, not all emphasis ought to be placed on megapixels alone. For the average photographer - whether you're using the latest model of mobile phone, or not - there aren't many of us hobbyist photographers who will be enlarging prints that would put the strain on those megapixels. Most of us share via friends and family, as well as social media. Used equipment is always a good way to go.
Frederick's also has new equipment, so don't think it's just used gear that you'll find.
The proprietor is friendly and knowledgable and willing to spend time answering questions and showing you equipment that will suit your needs. From cameras, lenses, filters, camera bags, etc, there is a wide variety to browse through and buy at Frederick's.
