I did my grocerday yesterday March 31,2023 at 3 p.m. For amount of $75.in which one item (plum) was wrongly charged. Plum as on weekly flyer $1.79 per lb, but charged $6.59 per kilo. As I called over the phone, they transferred me to the Manager (Mr. Kiren). I explained the matter and he transferred me to the sales person (Alleysa) who sold at around 3 pm, waiting about 10 minutes, no answered. Then I called again to Mr. Kiren and he transferred me to the manager produce. This manager was very rude and after he heard the matter and said we are very busy, just hung up the phone on my face.
This store I believe there is no good comunication amongst the workers, as well as with the customers. I lost some money but that is not a big deal. My request is to the principal Manager to look into the matter and take the action against the manager produce who was very very rude to me as a senior old person.

I used to live in Peterborough and other than the sketchy area where this store is located, the store and staff are exceptional!

Shop is great and usually well cleaned and organized.what prompted me to write this review is my few experiences with a very lovely cashier there.i wish i knew her name.she often works the express line in the evenings and has light blonde hair.she is so incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful.she is always cheerful and seems to really care about each person who comes through her line.she makes an effort to brighten people’s days by asking them how things are going, remembering her regulars, giving a sweet compliment here and there, and just treating everyone with such a warmth that it compelled me to write this review.people like her really do make a difference, and i thought that her effort and kind heart should be recognized, since it is always very much appreciated by me whenever i happen to go through her checkout line.i hope she sees this <3

Is anyone else concerned that the entire store smells like a Portapotty? Every time the door to the back swung open with workers bringing stock out, the smell of stale urine was so strong and absolutely repulsive. The whole store smells like an outhouse. I asked someone who worked there if there was a problem with a toilet but apparently this is just a regular thing. Gross.

Once again I have encountered BAD MEAT! Tty! LOL'S.
This time it leftovers from sobeys.
I had bought IT on Wed. 4 Thurs. & it was already BAD. Exp on Thurs.also.

Generally the shopping is good bc I go at a later hr.
Staff no me as well, which is pleasant.

Smaller than the one at Lansdowne and always sketchy stuff happening in and around the parking lot. Not my favourite place to buy meats, but employees are nice.

Very disappointed in the produce department, went shopping and had to go back twice and replace the onions because they had gone bad and even after the second time 1/2 onions were bad. While cutting up bell peppers to my surprise I found a bug inside! Hopefully the produce department makes some changes for the better as I used to enjoy shopping there.

I'm very sad. Shopped at this location for 20+ years. Bought potatoes that were bad. Figgured I'd have to throw them out saw a produce woman today whom I've seen there for years. Told her my issue. Asked her what is wrong with the potatoes? She explained. Asked me if I had the receipt. No I didn't. She checked with her boss, he said either give her another bag of potatoes or her money back.
I returned with the potatoes to get my money back, cashier turned me away. Not a great way to treat a long time customer

A great choice to get your shopping done if you are looking to avoid huge crowds and want a great selection vs the other giant brands!

Cashiers are pro-freedom rally anti maskers so that’s always fun to overhear that they’re going to large maskless protests hugging strangers during a collective traumatic pandemic. Never shopping here again.

I was in shopping and saw one of the cashier without a mask, and even one of her colleagues was talking with her and laughing. I will not be returning cause I honestly don’t think it is safe for a cashier to working without any sort of PPE during a pandemic.

Good parking, 25 cent cart. Hodge podge design with narrow isles. Good staff, selection and average produce.

I purchased a striploin steak for over $9 on Thursday and grilled it last night. It was the worst striploin steak I’ve ever had and I grill all the time. It had no marbling which I noticed at the time but they only had one left so I thought I’d take a chance. Big mistake. Where do they get their meat.is it stuff all the other grocery stores have turned down? It was really really bland, thin, and disappointing.

Always a relatively pleasant experience. I have heard that some people feel uncomfortable while shopping here as a result of one of their security guards.

Overall the place is good for grocery shopping. The staff sometimes do mistakes in the receipt, happened with me couple of times. Keep an eye out for that.

Nice place to go and get your groceries and u pay alot less than if u were going to the other grocerie stores it has a very nice lay out so u r not walking to close to others.

This is my favorite grocery store in the world! Everything is where it should be. The cashiers are the most genuine anywhere in the world. They are so skilled in difusing the rukus' we have all seen. The security guard, who i really just singled out since the pandemic, keeps everything flowing, and certainly boosted moral amongst bedraggled customers last spring. This place feels like home.

If they don't have a certain item I'll go 2 the larger Store by Walmart that's all!

Not a very convenient store to try and maneuver around, with food displays stuck in random spots, restocking pallets left in the middle of the aisles. Finding any loaf of bread that doesn't have either one day left to expire or has already expired and nobody bothers to check is a challenge. The staff are friendly enough but to the point of being distracted with what they're doing, especially in the produce section. And from all the conversations I've heard amongst employees on the floor, it's just bad taste and shouldn't be done in front of customers. Save it for your break. The store itself is not the cleanest, especially outside and I don't see much cleaning going on. And they need a better system of dealing with the lineup in the store. Again, too little space. If there's a bright spot, the young man who greets you at the door is always very friendly and polite.

It appears that we will never go there again, we will go to the other Fresco store in Peterborough. When we arrived there were no carts outside so we went in and asked some employee where the carts were and he mumbled something to my wife then I asked twice where they were and finally understood “the end of aisle 6” so I asked where is that couldn’t understand his mumbling.
We found the store disorganized with pallets in the aisle for restocking, and we considered the place unsanitary.
We also could not find what was on our list.
With this covid problem I felt this store was not worthy of my patronage.

Nice place for groceries just like the others. Just a heads up, sometimes it's too crowded and you might have to wait in line at the cashier

I tell everyone this is the best fresh food section of any grocery store in the area. Staff and security are super nice, don't be afraid to ask for help or just have a little chat. It's a smaller store so doesn't have a huge variety, but the fruits and veg, and friendliness make up for it

D and I try to shop off hours, which doesn't always work! FreshCo were fewer numbers than we feared and more than we hoped for!
We are always safety first and high Mark's in this regard.
There's no indication that the carts are sanitized but a young employee assured us this was the case. No one was assuring people weren't all over and I was surprised to not see the security person present or no one to remind customers regarding masks. Because of the single line one person just left their car in the line up and still roamed the last 2 aisles.

Wasn't happy with my last visit. Massive lineup, and only 2 tills open. Two other employees were off in the distance not caring about the lineup, so we left.

Very good customer experience. Very friendly security guard older gentlemen always brings energy and smiles whenever I see him which in turn makes my shopping experience more enjoyable.

I do almost all of our family's grocery shopping here. The produce is always fantastic quality and reasonably priced. When there are sales you can nab some amazing bargains!

+ Staff are very friendly and generally helpful (outside of the new hires who often don't know where things are just yet)
+ They have milk alternatives including soy creamer (used to carry plant based cheese and whipped cream, but sadly no longer). They also carry a variety of plant-based "meats"
+ Very accessible via the Trent or city buses at the George and Brock stop
+ Open until 10 pm on weekdays

- Produce is often sold out or off the shelves after 8 pm
- Selection of food is very limited compared to other grocers; definitely not a place to pick up any specialty items

An inexpensive grocery store to pick up the basics.

I have always found this store to be clean, customer friendly and the sales plentiful. And there are times when I am surprised by how much less my bill is than I expected it to be. Plus, having signed up for their flyer, I periodically receive $5.00 off coupons plus free grocery items.

I'm sorry, I usually like this grocery store, but lately they've been lacking in a LOT of different products that I usually get here.

Very busy lots of lineups found everything I needed and the cashier was very efficient we got through very quickly

Really great staff, I love this store I truly do. Wish I could come here more often. But there are a lot of beggers and homeless around the store looking for hand-outs and my wife doesn't like comming here because of that. Which is why it isn't a 5 star review. You need to make it more safe for women comming here, or my wife will just keep price matching your prices at other stores to stay away from the danger.

This place has a great selection of fruits and vegetables as well as a range of staples at affordable prices. Always busy but can get in and out fairly quickly

The dreary lights bother me, but the selection of foods they have is pretty great. Can find stuff there you can't find anywhere else

Lots of fresh stuff there I was impressed and for Saturday long weekend not alot of people but they did it right all crashers where open so no line ups wow that works manager must be smart lol

The store is clean and well organized but you should wear a bullet proof vest because the neighborhood is sketchy

I live 3 blocks away. It is convenient for me. The pparking lot there is free and so are the shopping carts.

Really good prices on produce, meat is good when it's on sale. Decent selection of products, excellent produce selection.

It has a good variety of food products at a good price. Particularly I enjoy the section of fruits, vegetables that has things like mangoes, yuca, plantain, chayote squash & others. The only thing hard is if you have an injury or dissability when you are packing your things, you feel really rush andcis not easy. Majority of tellers give good service. The Security fellow is really pleasant and helpful.

Great value grocery store. Quality of produce is good and the prices are very reasonable; lower than competitors

Well we are regulars at the Lansdowne outlet and this was our first time at Brock.
Its pretty much the same with regards to goods and products.
The staff were friendly and the showroom was clean - just thought the layout was better at Lansdowne. It feels more spacious, airy and illuminated.

Honestly, impressed with their Chinese food variety. Hope the produce could be in better shape though.

Prices are fair and selection is good. Nice job!

Love Freshco. Everything from cheap no name to higher end items. Great sales. Good service. And clean. I like that.
