They have a large variety of products and priced reasonably well. Loads of international and Halal foods and meats too. Fresh produce good quality. Helpful staff as well.

Friendly staff, fresh fruits, and veggies, for the most part, the sales items are in stock.

This store is usually very clean and the quality of produce is pretty decent. My only complaint is they often run out of sale items so you end up making a trip for nothing. Prices can be pretty steep, but if you find a good deal it's usually a very good deal.

Awesome grocery store. My go to for most items. Low prices and very clean. Staff is amazing working through the pandemic.

Store was clean. Shelves well stocked friendly staff when I needed help and while checking out. My only complaint is the shopping carts were all jammed together and It took multiple tries to find one that I could get free to use lol

Premium customer service, had 18 items and the cashier let me thru the 16 items and under line. What a delightful experience.

Amazing place, especially if you miss Indian Food. You obviously won't get the same taste as India.but it's close. And worth the money.

No longer shop here as the advertise falsely. They post in front of store and in store on speaker that they even beat the price. That they price match was somewhat false. I had the flyer for Zehrs and Giant Tiger and they would not accept. VERY DISHONEST.

An ok selection, just need to sell roast chicken like other places! That will also be great for people who stays in hotels for long period of time! You would sale lots

Usually this store is packed but it was a nice quick in and out visited today. As usual the young lady at the checkout was fast friendly and courteous.
One thing to note is that the store no longer has plastic bags so you need to bring your own reusables or buy reusables from them. The did give the option of using an empty box from the bin as well.

I like this store location. Good selection of both domestic and international items.

Express lane is for upto 16 products the cashier allows the customer having more than 22 items to scan. I only had 5 items and I asked hr to start scanning just after him but she didn't. She made me to wait until that customer packs every items in the express lane.

For such a gloomy day my shopping experience turned the rainy blues into "Good Reviews for Freshco Ontario st. Store was fully stocked besides paper towels but lately that's the case at most stores, store was neat/tidy also Noticed a few different employees disinfecting/cleaning many areas in the store, store was busy but lines were very quick and cashier was helpful and very pleasant all in all it was a positive shopping experience.

My favorite FreshCos of all the ones in the region. They always have what I want, the stories nice and big and laid out really well. I've never had a problem.

Great prices, generally clean. Only downside is that they reinstated the requirement for a quarter for a cart. During covid, I have stopped carrying cash. Big inconvenience.

Lots of stock on everything, no line up to enter, mask required. Staff helpful. Very long line to cash out, 25 minutes waiting

Take a quarter along, had find one for the cart. Some sale items all sold out. Clean your own cart at the door.

To be completely honest with you this store is conveniently located surrounded by hotels, local residences parks, schools, and plenty of shopping, the store is generally clean, has maintained there shelves and produce rarely running out of thing but there lack of customer service leaves much to be desired, this store practices the use of public humiliation and defamation of character on a daily basis with out knowledge of facts or proof to what they accuse paying customers of doing and when. Not only do they not approach a customer discreetly when a suspicion of possible wrong doings on a previous date they have no problem in making accusations very public in front of other paying customers at the end of a shop. I witnessed not once but a few times where they had accused patrons of leaving the store without paying for items after the fact. I'm sorry but if you had a suspicion why would you not have confronted the patron at that moment so all things could be cleared up rather than wait weeks after the fact and multiple shops later I generally do my shopping all at once so I hit the dollar store, the pet store, the health store and grocery store in a stop shop at the same plaza. I myself have never taken anything from the stores I shop at knowingly or purposely. On few and I mean very few occasions I have forgotten an item under my cart but quickly returned to pay for the item. However the item I was so rudely and infront of many other paying customers right at the check out was accused of leaving the store with a large bag of rice under my cart on my last visit to the store however on my last visit to the store not only did I spend over $100 on groceries but I took a cashback of 150 out and I was the last customer to leave the store having a grocer walk me out and lock the door behind me as I waited for help loading my purchases into a friends vehicle we stood there convercing as he waited for my empty cart. I have had a stomach surgery that prohibits me from eating many foods such as pasta, nuts, grains, acidic foods, rice, red meats, ect. So never in the 4 years I've shopped in this area have I purchased any foods of that sort and rarely do I put anything under my cart unless its purchased from another store. So my only thought was that someone mistook the large bag of kitty litter I bought from the pet store for $13 for a bag of rice lol. But the rudeness and publicly humiliating way the cashier handled herself was appalling and quite frankly un professional. I have seen more professionalism in a 6 yr old than I did from the cashier and store management that day.and I have seen employees fired for handling situations with more control and discretion than the way this clerk handle herself.disgusting to say the least.but I sure I'm not the only paying customer this staff has humiliated with no repercussion for faulty accusations and publicly humiliating a good, honest, paying customers. Beware of the quick to judge and humiliate cashier with chocolatey colored skin for she is bitter to the core!

Appreciate the cleanliness and attention to physical distancing. I hope this grocery store keeps up with it.

My families go to grocery store! Been going here since day one, great store all around and the employees are knowledgeable about the store products if you have a question. Staff are also very polite.

First time here. Friendly staff, everything is easy to find and I think the prices are pretty good. I will definitely start making this my regular grocery stop

Great store, my only complaint is that plaza could us a short red light at its entrance. It can be hassle to leave during rush hour.

If you want everything to expire in 2 or 3 days, then this is the place for you! Nothing here is fresh anymore unfortunately, contrary to its name

The only this is.the older cashier at the express checkout gave me an eye when I put my items to pay. She thought I have more than 16 items (express checkout is for 1 up to 16 items). I have only 12 items. She seemed not happy & ddn't even smile.

Produce is good, meats average, but cheap. Excels in the selection of international foods, among the best in St Catharines.

I have been going there since they opened. Prices are always reasonable and the staffs are friendly. Keep up the good work!

The best grocery store location for Ethnic food items.
While this is my go to store for produce, I find that more often than not some of the women at the check out are grumpy. My last visit I attempted to chat but the clerk ignored me while she ran my items through then walked away to talk with another employee. I'm guessing that they are not happy campers working there. I still recommend the grocery store but it's a get in/ get out experience.

Not impressed, Dempsters have a monopoly in this store Thiers or store brand are your only choice, they kicked Canada bread company out, it was the freshest and only cost a dollar. I will go to 10 different stores to fund bread rather than buy Dempsters

Just don't look too close to the handles on the frozen juice freezers. We've been shopping there for many years and we're pretty sure the handles have never been cleaned or replaced.either way we bring our own hand sanitizer to this store for sure.

Love shopping here, I find they have the international foods I'm looking for that no one else seems to have. I really like the selection of mixed frozen veggies they have that make cooking a breeze.

The store is well maintained and the prices are usually pretty good. The shopping carts are in rough shape and even though you have to use a quarter to get one it doesn't guarantee it will not have at least one messed up wheel.

Mid-size grocery store making it easy to be in and out quickly. The pricing is average and if you shop the specials there are good values. I like the fact that it is easy to see the deals as the pricing is always well indicated.

Staff is friendly. Price is always good. And lots of selection for what I'm looking for usually. The only problem I find is that the produce doesn't last more then a day or 2. So choose wisely.

Freshco have a $ 099 salle, low price if you want to go shopping choose freshco in Ontario Street beside of Holiday inn hotel go in the plaza on the back, parking is available peace place to do your grocery and cheap place to do grocery more to getting

A great budget conscious grocery store. It's not Whole Foods but it is great at what it does. Clean, friendly and well stocked.

The produce department is pretty good.
But otherwise;
It has a pretty bad selection of foods, and some outrageous prices for a discount grocery store.
Some of their prices are good, but they make up for it by charging too much for essentials, and random other things so you have to be careful or you'll walk out with a bill comparable to Zehrs. Make sure you check your bill because they have charged me full price for sale items twice, and they have those annoying shopping carts that require change, and rarely have baskets by the door.

There is not much competition in the area, so that's really the only reason to go here.
