Staff is usually pretty friendly and it's nice to see the owner of this location working down on the floor. Recently they added Scene as a points collecting system which I thought was great because I already had a Scene card. I had enough points to get a $10 card to use here. I went to pick up a few things hoping to save money by using this $10 but when I reached the cashier for some reason something wasn't working and I could redeem that $10 but I could scan my Scene points card. How do they announce collecting points and within a week or so point collectors not be able to to use cards they purchased by redeeming points? I had theney to cover everything I just hope this issue gets resolved soon, I just resumed shopping here again after going elsewhere because of the lack of a loyalty or points card.

Please change website info to reflect hours you open. I packed up kids this am at 738 as site said open at 7. Only to find out, you open at 8. Thanks, love the store

Great food great prices great service sometimes they should have a couple more cashiers open though

The Manager Rose goes above and beyond for customers. Very friendly. Always working hard everytime I'm in there. Very clean, organized, great selection. Amazing staff. Best grocery in town buy far.

The fruit here, mostly the berries are Disgusting! Not even a day later and they are covered in mold every time! I would much rather pay a little more for quality than "save" a dollar just to throw out what should be fine fruit.
This isn't a one off occurrence either, constantly moldy berries.

Let start by saying I love Freshco and my major decision to buy a house was helped (albeit slightly) by the comfort of having a Freshco nearby. However this Freshco in Welland just disappoints at so many levels. After shopping in Richmond Hill, Toronto, Mississauga, Binbrook, Hamilton and even the nearby Niagara, this frescho has nothing fresh. The aisles full of fresh fruit such as bananas, apples and nectarines are placed there when they are about to go rotten. Vegetables which were once pride and joy of the slogan "Always Fresh" are in pathetic condition. This is not a one day experience as I now live pretty close and found this happening for past 6 months. Sticky dirty aisles always seem over crowded with stuff dumbed in the bins. The worst part of this Freshco is the checkout. The checkout lanes are blocked intentionally to probably prevent shoplifting patrons but if they so desperate to shop lift rotten food, I would say might as well let them. Freshco shopping experience for me used to be filled with fresh produce, ethnic grocery with an amazing price match scheme. But now, it is the disappointment of rotting eggplants, brown speckled yellow bananas and blocked checkout lanes with lines forming at one lane. I sincerely hope someone capable of change reads this review and brings some positive change in this dilapidated grocery store. Oh yea maybe add some check out lanes with self check out perhaps.like you have in other Freshcos.maybe?

My card said a transaction went through on $3.45 but they said, it didn’t. I have to follow with my bank to have things corrected. Thank goodness my bank didn’t ask for proof of decline on their end. The lesson is bring cash only to this location.

It's actually gud, but please putt some more indian stuff so indian student can purchase more items from here, but mine experience is very gud, staff is very friendly and helpful

This large grocery store is well laid out and easy to get around in with my walker. The staff are friendly and helpful. They have a good selection of gluten-free and lactose-free products. I do wish that they had at least one brand of gluten-free bread that wasn't frozen.

The store appears to be clean and tidy and the produce is fresh. Please put a few chairs or benches both outside and in the entrance hallway so that we older folks can sit and rest while we wait for our transportation. Also, it's the only grocery store that I know of that doesn't have a points card and/or a senior's discount day, which would be nice.

Has a good selection of items and decent prices except for what the world is doing to fruits! And where the heck is Kelloggs Cornflakes? Couldn't find one in sight lately!

I enjoy going here. Prices are very good and a nice variety. They seem to have ample stock at all times. Staff is very friendly and helpful as well. Definitely enjoy coming here.

Best produce selection and quality in Welland. Their fresh chicken has water added, will never buy it there again. Very large store with a very illogical first row after produce. The row labels are inaccurate and unhelpful. Great prices on cheese. Limited specials for such a large store. Great international items. Favourite Freshco in the region. Drive 30 minutes to shop here.

I love this grocery store it's my absolute favorite place to get groceries in Welland. Even when it's busy the lineups move pretty fast. The staff is great and the lighting and layout are good. Lots of selection and decent prices it's a quality but affordable place to get groceries. Oh and the hours are great as well, open every nite til 10pm (even Sundays)

This place is a dump! Narrow aisles, produce not stocked and not looking or smelling good. Absolutely the slowest checkouts ever! The cashiers don’t smile, they don’t greet you, they don’t help you. Worst grocery store in Welland by a mile.

I like it here. I've been going here since the building was first built when I was a little boy in the late 70's. Only reason for 4 star is I'm picky. And not many check out lanes open

I generally like getting groceries here. Prices are decent, they price match, selection is really good, including international foods, and produce is good. You have to watch your bill though. There is enough variety in the produce department that it is easy for staff to make mistakes at the check-out. Other than that, this is my preferred store.

Customer service stinks, so many managers no one knows how to deal with customers, store owner doesn't care either.

Store is clean and normally well stocked but often has clutter such as boxes in the isles. Normally one a couple of cash lanes open so the lines can firm quickly and move slowly.

Very clean and love their produce section. Only disappointment was a flyer item didn't come in but was happy to hear because they didn't like the quality. That's customer service making sure we get good quality.

I love this grocery store just wish they kept the ATM machine there or that there was any ATM machine in that plaza at all.

Cashier friendly, check out express quick. Ask if I needed bags greeted small chat. Had mask wiped down kept distance very professional. Cart greeter coming in good too. Very pleased 5 out of 5

No lines to get in the store and they always wipe the carts. They usually have the sale items in stock. And the staff is always friendly.

Only grocery store I use in Welland. Good selection and good pricing compared to many of the other reasonably priced grocery stores. The store always seems to be clean and despite what others have said I have seen the cashier's ask people to move back and see them wipe the pin pad and the counters all the time when I am there. Sometimes a line up to get in but usually moves quickly. Been shopping here since before this all started and since it all started and no covid for me.

If you want to take your chances with getting COVID-19, this store is your best bet. The only measure they take to reduce risks is to sanitize the carts. Been to this location many times and have seen several employees cashing customers out while not wearing masks & never once heard them ask customers to social distance when paying or sanitize anything including the pin pad between customers.

Friendly getting at the door, clean and well organized produce department. Friendly and efficient cash out.

FreshCo is nice place to shop they have some different stuff you can find just in the FreshCo I love it

Awesome store. Great staff - clean store! Need to keep flyer sale items stocked and available in dairy tho. I had to request sale items from back (eggs) because cooler was empty and sale still had 2 days to go - this happened during last sale as well.

I went to buy Formula for my 4 month old daughter on January 2nd, 2021. I bought two big ready to serve boxes for $80.00. When I got home I saw they expired Januray 1 2021! When I asked to exchange it for formula that was not expired they told me it was their policy not to exchange or refund on expired products! This location should be ashamed, we are a low income household and expected this to last our daughter for several weeks. We will be doing all of our grocery shopping elsewhere from now on.

The covid protocols here are very strigent but things went smoothly. Probably the greatest I've seen thus far. Keep up the great work

Brooke needs to learn customer service. No hi, hello just told me i couldn't stand where I was while pulling out the cart to make room to pay my bill and she didnt even hand me my receipt when she changed it over. Just tossed it on the side. I'll stick to Walmart next time.

This store is so badly organized!
Different brand items are scattered throughout the store instead of kept together which makes comparing them impossible.
I would love to shop here because I have a large family and we buy a ton of groceries but I just can't handle the awful way it's organized.
However.they have good prices, a great produce section and very kind, helpful staff!

I love this Freshco. They have items that other groceries stores do not carry and at reasonable prices. Also, their produce (on average) seems a lot fresher than any of the other "cheaper" grocery stores in Welland (No Frills, Walmart, etc)

Happy they have some of the VEGAN products we need! BUT there literally in every corner & isle in the store HAPPY HUNTING!

Vegies and fruit where very rouph looking there was mold on the blueberries and the mango was wrinkled. Cucumbers where soft.

The staff is always super friendly and helpful. Prices are great and store is always clean and organized.

Decent hours of operation, and they proce match! Which is great because no many places still do.which means even more money saved on our grocery bill. Every bit of savings helps!

Good deals for the most part. Every once in a while something like butter goes for 2$ for a big brick. Staff are friendly. No complaints.

Best international food isle! My daughter can get all of her Japanese goodies and we find some wonderful spices and coconut milks for curries. The layout is a bit confusing so I don't always find everything I need but the staff are always more than happy to help.

This store is the only one I will buy groceries at. The staff are friendly and helpful, the store is always clean and well-kept, and they fix things right away if you have a problem.

I find this location to lack consistency. They don't seem to carry enough of the products to keep one of each available. I went in for 10 inch whole wheat pitas and all they had of the size was gluten free pitas. Gluten free pitas crumble. I wanted salt and vinegar miss vickies chips. They Diddnt have them.
I noted some great deals on snack foods but otherwise I don't intend on going back there for much.

Have quite the variety of ethnic foods.which is great. I feel they need to staff more cashiers as the lineups are usually long

Stopped in to the Welland store this morning and spoke with Bob in the produce dept. I asked him if I could leave my info and have the manager contact me. I wanted to see if they would add Horseradish root to their produce line up. Bob was super helpful. I left my info which he said he would forward to the manager Leanne.not sure of the spelling. Anyway great customer service Bob. I hope they will be able to add the item however, if not I will understand and then ck with other local stores to see if they can assist me. Bob.you are a very good representative for FreshCo. WOW! What a great team they have at the Welland store. I will be going there Monday to pick up the product. Great customer service.all the best.

Came into the store yesterday to pick up a sale item advertised in the flyer. I made a special effort to confirm before purchasing that the item in question is in fact, on sale. I read the sale sign in front of the item to be sure, as of course, sometimes the wrong item is in front of the wrong sign. Nope, this item is definitely on sale. Get to the front; not on sale. Full price. I questioned it, and the cashier sent a worker to the shelf to check. 10 minutes later, comes back to tell me, 'Not on sale' despite there being a sign with the words printed right on it in front of the product. Very disappointed. I felt bad holding up the line for what was obviously not my mistake. I do like the selection here, but I don't like stores that pull a 'bait and switch'. I won't be shopping here anymore.
