This FreshCo is always a good to shop; it is very accessible and has good selection of fresh produce, vegetables, spices.
Scene+ points on a lot of items.

I asked the express line cashier girl with the pony tail (Indian, if that helps the owner recognize the person easier) for a covid test and she said that she doesnt know if they have it there. I asked if she can check, but she ignored me. In the end I asked again if she can ask and she repeated that she doesnt know if they have it instead of asking someone who knows. The cashier next to her said something about asking someone to her and she straight up said "I don't want to" and did absolutrly nothing. The ignorance is unbelievable.
This was at 3: 33pm on Dec 19th. I hope the owner of this place cares more about customers than his staff. Lack of service and care for customers is something I've been dealing with here for a while but after this I am sure that I will never come back.

I have been shopping since the last 5 months. Freshco provides unique items e.g. Panache brand. I love to do shopping there 2 to 3 times every week

Great prices, but not a particularly pleasent place to shop. Usually requires a supplementary trip to another store.

This is the dirtiest grocery store I have ever been in. It does not matter what time of day or night you go in to this store expect stock to be out, floors to be gross and carts to all be outside. I live a one minute walk from this store but will take my car and go to any store other than this one. Clearly the staff don't care nor does the management.

Prices are usually decent but have found better at other places if you really do your homework. The carts are always stacked up out in the corral. On my last visit the garbage outside the front door was overflowing and strewn about the ground in front of the main entrance. The bag it yourself policy sometimes makes you feel a little rushed and in the way of the people behind you at the checkout too. Staff are usually friendly.

Clean store. Friendly staff and great value for the doĺlar. Worth a visit. Groceries are better priced, but do find the produce does not last long after bring home. - UPDATE - after many weekly visits to this store, my biggest complaint is that there are never shopping carts in the store. Not sure why it is empty for so long before a staff member actually retrieves them from the parking lot. Often times I have to get a cart from the parking lot myself - customer service is out the door - just like the carts.

Good prices, good as a second backup store. Fruits and vegetables are not always in good shape

Very good selection of ethnic foods and spices. Good selection of vegetables and fruits. Fairly good selection of frozen sea food. Not a good selection of larger meats such as beef roasts

Used to have better pricingcompared to other stores. This time I noticed that the prices are way higher on almost every thing.

I personally worked at a Freshco in Toronto for 5+ years as a front end supervisor. This store and the employees are terrible. I came in for 5 things (October 26,2021) checked out at 1: 19 on cash 1 with a cashier who is clearly unaware of the products in the store and the way to treat customers, he was rude and inconsiderate or the products I had just purchased. I doubt this store takes their time to speak with their employees to inform them how to better assist customers but here's hoping ️

Out of the Fresh Co's I've been to in the Ottawa area this is one of the better ones. The produce area is cramped as most are but I can find most of my west Indian ingredients there which is more than I could ask for in the burbs.

Great shopping experience. Clean, well layed out and great prices. Would recommend this location.

Was a bit disappointed.used to go for the vast selection of produce from around the world. Selection was poor and not all that fresh.searched the whole store for soya burgers to eventually find them mixed in with the meat products with the same colour packaging. And for some reason no cell reception so couldn't even call to see if there was an alternate choice.sigh

Staff is amazing. Always courteous and extremely helpful. Manager Ed is always so accommodating. Gagan is extremely knowledgeable and goes out of his way to help all the customers (personal experience as well as by observing). Westin, iris and Miguel are again deserve same accolades. Whole team is a keeper.

Always clean and well stocked I love this location because of the diverse foods especially Asian options in regular rotation.

Dont know why they got the name freshco fruits, bread and a few other things not always fresh but the prices and selection is acceptable

Hi, I'm the guy with the basketball. Best freshco in Ottawa. The layout and cleanliness is excellent. Prices are very reasonable. Excellent variety of vegetables, asian food.etc.highly recommended

Worst store I have ever visited, wish I could give zero star instead of one. Full of absolutely unprofessional and bored associates who feels offended if have to work at the cash register. Long line up but they don’t care and when finally someone comes no apology offered not even a “sorry”. The price isn’t the lowest in the area but the quality is really low and the store is never clean.

It has all the basic products a home needs for a much more budget-friendly price. If you need some more sophistication, you should try going elsewhere.

This is a discount grocery store so do not expect fancy. They carry a good selection of goods but are limited by space. Although the majority of the grocery store is well organized, the produce section needs work. It is small and crowded. It is located right at the entry which consistantly creates a bottle neck and makes it difficult to safely distance. Good place to pop in if you only need a few items.

Wow, just wow. The food here is honestly, remarkably, very fresh. I'm not sure where they get their inventory, but they have numerous sizes are their food packaging. I've never seen the larger variants of sweet potatoes sold in stores before.

Their staff is quite friendly and respectful, they are organized and prompt with their service. Even in this pandemic, they are able to ensure order and quality service at the same time.

That is a rare trait. Keep up the good work.

My mom's favorite shopping centre. Always can find good deals there. Just for today, she found the 99 cents Tofu.

Couple of issues today. There's a milk recall and we told employees.they didn't do anything. The fridge which is supposed to hold cold drinks wasn't cold. I told am employee and he looked at me, looked at fridge, opened fridge and said. "yup not working" and walked away.

I was like WTF!?

Make sure you check best before dates! This store often sells things that have expired or is expiring

Not only is produce fresh here, but prices are amazing! I can walk out of the store with a full trolley for $30.00. At other shops, $30.00 gets me only a couple things. I also highly recommend their "Compliments" brand. Very good quality

I don't know why so often when I buy grocery in this store I got surprised that the cashier has different price than the tags show.

I like the prices relative to other grocers eg Plantars peanut butter same size was 6.48 at Loblaws and 3.99 at Freshco - many similar differences. There are also food, veggies and canned items from out of country (eg Argentina!) I have not seen before - its an adventure!

Wide variety. Value for money. No free Wi-Fi. Assorted Vegtables of various countries are available. USA, Canada origin, Brazil origin, Indian origin (ready to eat items of vadilal are available.

Older and a bit cramped. It has some interesting stuff but isn't up to the standard of nearby competitors.

Great prices, deals and staff, my only complaint is that you have absolutely NO reception in that store once your in, its ridiculously frustrating! Your cell loses connection and it makes it difficult to communicate with someone when looking for something specific.

Good variety of products, from fresh vegetables and fruits to cereals, snacks, soft drinks and different ingredients for a variety of recipes. The prices are good for most products are better than the ones on nearby Loblaws, for instance. However the one negative aspect that needs to me mentioned is the regular state of disarray in which the fruit/vegetable section is usually presenting. They could do a better job at keeping it clean, but it also speaks a lot about the costumers which leave the place dirty in the first place.

The best fresh co in the area. Overall clean and full. I wasn’t impressed with the chain until that store opened.

Found everything I was looking for an then some. Found some discounted meat and price matched some pineapples too.

Usually pretty good, but sale items tend to be gone half way through the sale period, so you have to get in at the start of the promotion.

Inexpensive food and friendly staff. Much better pricess than the big grocers and better quality than Walmart. There is an intersting variety of western and asian foods. Be careful when buying meat as it is not always the best quality.

Great staff. Great price and selection on Asian grocery items. Produce section is somewhat dirty and produce items are old. Would have been much better if they make it like Farm Boy produce section where cleanliness and freshness stand out.

Store was clean and well stocked. Better then the one in Vanier for sure. Good prices on produce. A great cheap alternative to Loblaws!

Quality and freshness of fruits and veggies is not what is expected of Freshco Barrhaven on Strandherd. Freshco has been my fav place for fresh produce for years (different city). I am disappointed w freshness of apples, tomatoes and other veggies at this branch. I reported it to the staff and hope some action is taken soon.

Dont think I've found a better priced grocery store then here. Love the deals. Doesnt jave as much selection as other grocerie stores but better prices on what they do.

They do not have rain checks so first come, first serve.
There is no guarantee that you will get the special.

To whomever is saying 'great selection' do you feast on potatoes and granola bars? They had no spinach, no leafy greens, a poor cheese selection, no pepperoni for pizza, no (reasonably priced) bacon, no selection of pork sausages other than 'hot italian and honey garlic' *yawn*, no actual chicken wings, split, a poor selection of beef, they had a horrid selection of pasta sauces, no creamy garlic sauce (in the jar, did find a bottle though), no frozen broccoli and low stock of other frozen veggies, they did have almond flour though, hence the 1 star instead of a 0 star, and when it was all said and done, 200$ for like 4 bags of groceries, is insane! Please tell me there is a better grocery store in barrhaven, I shopped at south keys walmart for a year and never had this much trouble, occasionally going to loblaws for "good meat". The freshco on merivale isint as bad as this one, so I thought freshco near my place would be awesome, turns out I was wrong.rip frescho barrhaven 2018
