I had a great experience, from my first phone call to the in-class lessons and the practical exam, the professional team of Thiru and Das were excellent in guiding and teaching you the essentials to help you understand and succeed in the course and upgrading you drivers license. Thank you very much for taking the time and having the patience to teach us all. If you had doubts of wanting to pursue a career in trucking, this school made it easy and simple to understand and motivate you to move forward!

One of the best Driving School in Scarborough, On. Dhas, Thiva and Arvind are the best instructor, they teach each and every little detail about the truck and operation of the truck. I got my AZ licence in first attempt and it took less than 2 months to complete the whole program.

Friendly truck driving school experience

Passed my AZ road test on the first try, never have I felt so confident doing any type of test, let alone in such a big truck trailer of a vehicle. In class and yard training were right on point and no time was wasted. In and out in 5-6 weeks as promised. I would 100% recommend this training center for anyone interested in the class AZ training to come and try it for yourself.

I quitted from Jay, s Professional School because of very very bitter experiences from staff and Jay himself. He is rude and unprofessional.

Friendly trucking school helped me to obtain my class AZ license on the first go. They are pioneers in this field and are well equipped and knowledgeable in their expertise.
Dhas/Dhiva and Aravind all three of them are great instructors who will guide you from day one till you go for the drive test. Their back office staff (Thiru/Kala/Usha) do a great work in managing our time based on priority and help us get through the process seamlessly.

This is the one of the best place to study guys. I’m driving garbage truck. My friends recommend me here. Very 3 important people are in the office. You can tell the your problems they will help you. If you need a more backing up.more Driving. Or Inspection. They will arrange anything for your needs. Every backups class they give me 1.1/2 hours. Some places only 2 backups only. Don’t take Kijiji 4500 or 3500 you will ending up with losing money.

One of the best trucking schools in Toronto.
Mr. Dhas, Rakulan and Thiva all instructors are top class. I annoyed them too much during the training but they never complaine. No matter how many times you asked they same question they explained with same calmness. Schools training method is 10 out of 10. I highly recommended them if you are looking for commercial license. I got my AZ license in my first attempt. Also to the office administration they are so helpfull and flexible regarding class timings (specially Thiru mam). I have never faced a single problem during my training program. After getting trained from Friendly school you will definitely feel that you have gained some extra experience. They don't just train you for your road test, they prepare you how to be a Professional Driver. In the end I guarantee everyone you won't have any regret.

There are many truck driving schools in the GTA but after doing my research diligently I have landed at the Friendly Truck Driving School in Scarborough to get my AZ driving license. It was a great experience and an awesome journey going through the MELT program and in the end getting my license.

Of course, you can find different kind of things that could differentiate this school over other schools but what I found to be a building block of this school is their focus on the student success and their commitment to professionalism.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all the people that helped me and that I was involved with starting with Thiru which is a great communicator and she kept my schedule in class and in the yard run smoothly, Rakulan, Dhiva and Dhas for great training and patience aiding me become skillful in parking, driving and pre-inspection, all three requirements for successfully passing the exam. All the aforementioned people were amazing and they’ve done their best to help me succeed.

For anyone considering getting a truck driving license I am totally endorsing the Friendly Truck Driving School, you will not regret it.

For those learning the dock-alley parking for exam remember the “Dhas parking maneuver”. What’s that? You’ll have to ask him. It helped me to pass the exam. Great job Dhas!

Dealing with friendly truck driving school was an amazing experience, smooth process, and very quick moving school. Both instructors thiva and dhas were such good and professional instructors, they make you feel comfortable and lead you step by step for exactly what’s going to be on the test. I passed my DZ test with ease because of them! I highly recommend anyone to use this driving school. Thank you once again guys!

One of the biggest mistakes I made in life is choosing this school. I do not even know where to start.
1.) So many co-students failed, in fact one student (ex tow driver) is currently on his third test. His instructor face lit up with joy when we discussed his failure. Almost like he rejoiced in his failure, I interviewed a few schools and remember one in particular telling me WE WANT YOU TO PASS over and over again. I guess I know what he meant now. I feel they WANTED ME TO FAIL and I did fail inspection. Would not tell me where the first aid kit was. Asked multiple times and all they do get is mad. So on test day I could not find it this the reason I failed.

2.) I signed up for a 5 week course took almost 10 WEEKS. Only 1 guy teaching driving & the owner. So classes were only 1.5 hours a day maybe once or twice weekly. Due to the fact there are so many students. Only 1 road instructor plus the owner once in a while.

3.) Family run business Wife & husband team, two young guys training. Doubtful they are qualified "but hey family is family" wonder if there is any accountability.

4.) In class I seen a teacher 4 times more like 3 but I am being generous. They give you a 700 page book and say read and do some modules on a computer. No actual teacher outside of 3-4 days

5.) Scheduling you never get one, just 7-8 o'clock night email saying class is tomorrow. I found structure was lacking

6.) Attitude horrible treat you like you are there employee, I was not interested in ever being a employee associated with this company.

7.) Equipment horrible old beat up trucks, all kinds of warning light on the dash ABS & fault code while taking test. Instructor commented on how the truck is not working properly. Takes very long to pick up, now guess who will gets blamed for impeding traffic during the test (too slow) you.
8.) Trainers only 1 in the yard and 1 doing road plus the owner, Who is there sparingly. Tons of student. I learned nothing from them, what ever skills I learned was from YouTube video's made by PROFFESIONAL schools

9.) Acts like a big school, but it's a 2 man show with the owner coming now and then. Makes me wonder what are the credentials of there two young trainer. I prefer to learn from actual truckers with credentials. If I could do it again I would ask for there experience & credentials. Boy I wish I would have walked on this school

I suggest students interested in registering go look how they train and what the equipment looks like @ Markham Rd & nugget behind the Tim Hortons & burger king. Including gas and time out 10k and no AZ license. Please take 3-4 days and really check out any trucking schools yard, INSTRUCTOR CREDENTIALS, don't ask the students who are most likely AFRAID of speaking out. Thoroughly check the yard training more than once. Meet all the teachers & instructors. They all put on there best when they know your coming go unexpected. It's a huge investment and you don't want to be in my position or my class mate who is on test 3. Nothing hurts more than 2 months 10k of wasted time & money. Apparently playing games with people's lives is fun & games for these boyz

I chose Friendly upon exploring four truck driving schools in GTA, including a public college, and haven’t felt the slightest disappointment. The instructors tried to customize my training, allotting practice time based on my weaknesses and progress. As a result, I felt confident on my 90-degree backing well before the road test, which I passed at the first attempt last week.
The school emphasizes less on strict step-by-step approaches (e.g, where/when to turn wheel how much) and more on an every-situation-is-unique principle, which better prepares trainees for all occasions. Working with instructors Thiva, Rakulan and Dhas were all pleasant and memorable. The office administrator Thiru is knowledgeable, professional and accommodating to my multiple requests of workday off scheduling. Highly recommend Friendly to everyone.

I got my bus license on first try. The instructor (thiva) is very good. He is friendly, kind and patient. And the front desk lady is so nice and helpful. The price of the training course is very good. My english is not good but i have no problem to communicate with them. Overall, first pick for driving training school.
