Friends BBQ 老友谊烧烤

As a person who from North China, I think this is the best BBQ restaurant that I've had in my 8 years of living in Canada.

Today I want to give 4.5 stars, otherwise I will give your store a space to work hard to improve. Xiaohongshu has mixed reviews about this store. I ordered less barbecue. I only think beef skewers are more delicious than mutton skewers, but the cooking is better. I give it a thumbs up for the stir-fry. The biggest feeling is that the meat part I chose tastes right. It’s not like some Northeastern cuisine pot buns. The meat sections are all messy when you bite them. The fat tendons are also very soft. The dine-in is better than the first time. Today's takeout is except for the pot bun meat which is not crispy (the glutinous rice flour sticks) but it is still ok when heated in the oven. The other dishes are excellent. The pork ribs have ventilation holes in the takeout box, so the texture is still crispy when eaten at home. The chicken is a bit spicy and the bamboo basket chicken. The taste of the eggplant meat slices is not so salty this time and the taste has also improved. Unlike last time, the soy sauce tasted too much. The cumin mutton is fragrant but not greasy. Keep it up.

Reasonably priced and the food reminds me of the food from Beijing. It is a little gem in Mississauga. Saves me the trip to Markham for 羊肉串。

This place sucks, we ordered online, the estimated pickup time is 8: 01pm, we arrived on time, the girl said not ready, then we waited outside around 10min, the girl said it’s still not ready, we waited another 10min, still not ready. We said ok fine, we don’t need it, refund plz. One old woman said no we can’t do it, you reached out to the fan Tuan customer service to get refund. But the issue is there is no way for customers to get refund directly unless the restaurant approved.

Until 8: 30pm, we finally get our stuff, the bbq already cold

Never come back, the bbq, the attitude and everything sucks!

I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is great, and the prices are very wallet-friendly. We ordered four skewers of lamb kebab, four skewers of quail eggs, four skewers of chicken gizzards; one plate of pork intestine; a bowl of mixed egg, kelp, and tofu soup; one bowl of fried rice; guess how much it costs during the period of crazy high inflation in April 2023? CAD 55.6, Surprising, yet impressive!

This newly opened barbecue restaurant is located at the location of the original Bombay to go (I miss the delicious butter chicken), so when you enter the store, you will smell a very strong smell of spices (actually the smell of Indian curry) But this is not a temporary thing It can be dissipated after a while, but it won't affect the joy of cooking.
The Guobao Pork that received rave reviews in the comment section is really good! Fried to a very crispy textureThe sweet and sour appetizer is very appetizing, and the portion is quite large. The skewers are all very good, nothing special.
The grilled cold noodles are very average, not very good in taste, not recommended.
The service is good, but the disadvantage is that the serving speed is a little slow.
Overall, I am glad that there is another good place for late night snacks nearby. It is a very rare restaurant within a radius of 1 kilometer that is open until 2 o'clock~

This restaurant is so beautiful. I came to eat alone and ordered dishes worth fifty or sixty dollars. I sat there for 4 or 50 minutes without even a single dish being served. Not even a single dish was served, it was so showy. Let you sit still

Been here a few times, and love their food! The BBQ ribs and Guo Bao Rou are very delicious.

It was a little busy when it first opened, but the quality of food and service has improved significantly after I've been here a few times recently. The Guobao Pork is indeed quite delicious. There is probably no better Guobao Pork in the west of GTA than this one.

Worth giving another chance

Anyone who has never tasted the Guobao Pork from this restaurant will really cry. The texture and taste are absolutely amazing. I am blown away by the pickled cabbage fried rice noodles and grilled cold noodles. Juejuezi. Oh, and the pimple soup! So delicious, so delicious, so delicious

The food was incredible, the service was great, my whole experience was nothing short of amazing. The price was affordable, good for everyone from students to families.

Always come here for some late night delicious skewers!

Guobao meat, chicken racks, intractable diseases, barbecue are all delicious and not expensive. Like~

I forgot to take a picture. The service is pretty good. The environment is relatively ordinary and the decoration is like a burrito store. It feels like a fast food restaurant with no special decoration. The taste is okay. The individual skewers are a little expensive but the portion is okay. The pot bun meat is delicious but a little sour. Improvements, overall good

I can't say enough about the taste of the food, it's delicious, but the service and delivery speed are too slow. I have to keep asking for water, and I have to keep buying the bill. Four or five dishes were served for an hour. I will order takeout in the morning next time. Come and get it in the evening. Since there are not enough people to open a restaurant, why not add more people?

I started off with their “GuoBao Rou” the meat was cooked to perfection, with a crispy outer layer and juicy, tender meat on the inside. The sauces that accompanied were also amazing, ranging from sweet and tangy to spicy and smoky. It’s totally worth to try!

For dinner on a Thursday, there were not many diners and the service was very good. We mainly eat barbecue and cold dishes. The barbecue tastes very good. There are no particularly unpleasant dishes. The food was a bit salty, so the waitress gave us more water four or five times. I will eat there again next time.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Friends BBQ, and I must say, their BBQ and northern style pork were absolutely delicious
