Friends Sweet Restaurant

Sold my partner very stinky barfi the day before Diwali. We weren’t able to give them out and had to throw them away sadly. What a shame and a big waste.

I’ve been a customer here for over 17 years and I really don’t know who is cooking the food but it’s really not the same anymore as it used to be when the owners daughter used to work there anyways, that being said this is the second time out of many times of me ordering from here my order is wrong and missing things. I ordered shahi paneer they packaged matar paneer second time! No achar in thali. No onions in the mix for gol gappe. Who are these students!? Im dont aunty ji. Only the owners know how to run their business last time I checked never had a problem before 2019

Ordered a chaat item, and was so let down when I asked the staff if my family and I can sit down to eat the food we ordered. They told me that the price goes up if I chose to sit down. Not only is that shocking but disrespectful. I have never been to a restaurant and been told this. There is barely any logic to this. Id expect a place that has no customers inside to be happy to see clients coming in to order. No wonder no one is inside.

The service is and always had been great. We have our tiffin service from this restaurant for almost a year now and everyday the food is fresh and great. Also, occasionally we dine in, the sweets are my favorite from this restaurant. The customer service is also great and the restaurant owner has always been very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend FRIENDS…!

The customer service is very good. The food is always fresh and tasty. I was having a pain in my Molar teeth and the owner helped me so much by preparing the special food for me. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone one.

Samosas are greasy n stale.sweets taste like they were made in 1947. Save urself run run run away students

Son introduced me years ago. Food has been really good except this last two visits. Butter chicken Naan bread great. Usually spinach and cheese last few days. But spoiled on the second day. Disappointed that's the reason I go to this restaurant.

Food is good but management is so rude to customers. Refused to let a paying customer use the washroom. Apprently only dine-in customers can use the washroom, god forbid if you need to use the washroom while you wait for your take out food.

(2018) Fresh, delicious, and inexpensive Indian food. For the money, can't be beat in my books. Update: Four years later, the dining-in is open again after the Covid closure. Had a thali priced at $8.99 but was charged $11.26 after tax. Perhaps there is a surcharge for dining-in? I didn't bother going back to ask. Four years after my first review, the thali choices are less. The Chana tasted good and the Saag was okay. I could have also chosen from Alu and Dal. The Naan was also good and tasty. This used to be my favourite place for lunch but unfortunately the competition has upped their game and there are more choices available. I hope 'Friends ' will rise to the challenge

There was too much oil in the food and after eating that i am feeling sick. I would not reccomend anyone for this restaurant and i would rate this restaurant 0 out 5.

Not only was the food terrible. We found a hair in our butter chicken. Staff is rude and ironically not very friendly. Washrooms are closed all the time even though government restrictions have been lifted. 0 stars do not recommend

Ordered chicken naan kebob, the wrap was mostly giant onion chunks. Pretty disappointed in the flavour and it was pricey too. Lack of effort

This used to be one of brampton's best desi restaurants. The competition is fierce and so reduced patronage leads to cost cutting and a downward spiral. I believe the appeal will come back. I won't give up

Today i ate words expensive Aallu paratha which is really taste less and burn one side and now i forget my english even itna mehnga paratha kha k kuch yad rahy ga kesy 6.75 $ 1 paratha bahi mei kisi 5 star mei nahe tha
Anyways it was my 1st and last visit

Total rip-off
Bought chicken biriyani. They charge 10.99 for small box of chicken biriyani and claim enough for two adults
Box was even quarter filled and not enough for a 5 year old kid
Don’t recommend this to any one

Visited recently to pick up samosas and was shocked - $0.75 each.talk about gouging. Ok the Covid situation may hv forced prices to go up as business affected, but this takes it to a diff level. Disgusted.from 3 fr $1- to 5fr $2- + tx to $0.75 ea? Disgusting ripoff.

Total RIP off, abruptly raised the prices of food items $2-$3 each, Quality and quantity degraded. Was a regular customer but not anymore.

Tried this restaurant first time today and i ate best shole bhature ever from GTA, especially sabji (shole) it tasted same as my backhome langar.

Food taste not closer to other similar restaurants. Costlier than general indian restaurants of similar scale. I will not recommend this.

Very tasty dishes at affordable prices. Staff was courteous and polite. The gentleman answered all my questions and suggested some non spicy items for my kids. I will definitely return and recommend this restaurant to my friends. Thumbs up!

Food is always fresh and tasty. Owner is head chef so quality has maintained for years. Best item are palak paneer, chicken curry, mixed veg. Thalis are very good.

This place has been around since i was a kid. For. A reason. Samosas are fantastic and great price. Sweets are great. Everyone had to try this place once. You won't regret it

Whenever we pass by, we often pop in for their yummy butter chicken and their samosas. So delicious!

I have been getting my Veggi Thali here for years. I've tried other places but keep coming back here. Best anywhere in Brampton. A little more friendliness at the counter would help though.

Food quality is very good but the customer service does not go with it. They do not greet the customers and of course no welcoming smile on their faces.

Very poor service. Be very careful before purchasing anything from they served fungus stuff if anyone wants proof let me know. On top of they don’t accept that they served fugue stuff

Great atmoshepere when i entered, service was efficient and effective. However, i need to start on the food. The chili chicken had the right amount of the spice and usually i am very critical with the butter chicken. But it is way beyond my expections and 100% reccomend to others.

The worst restaurant I have ever been to in my 9 years in Toronto. Extremely rude cashier, burnt naan, chicken was like rubber in the butter chicken. Never entering this restaurant again even if I starve to death.

Good food reasonably priced. Service doesn't match with the quality of food they serve. Wish if they have friendly server here. I personally know the owners but can't complaint about it. Very small location but the service is amazing and the food is good. Bring you own hot sauce. The one they have is not too hot.

Loved the sweets and I would love to order more.

I have been going there for many years and their prices were great but now they have raised their prices on all items and reduced the quantity.

Their butter chicken used to have 8 pieces now it’s 8 halves. On top of it they charge a fee for any debit transaction below 10 bucks

We have been customer for last 15 years, since open, their food and taste had been great and you can see the different between curry plates.
Last 2 years, price has gone up by 30-40% and BAD thing is that taste, Quality & Quantity is gone down.
Its became costly and NO longer happy with quality. Sorry, loosing me as customer.

We decided to eat in at this restaurant after being told there food was Great! This was not the case at all. We had a problem with our order and the girl was extremely rude to us and when I asked to see a manager another lady came out and was also rude. I simply had asked for a bill but apparently this is the very 1st restaurant that you pay and then you get a bill. You owe us 40 dollars. HOW? Our dinners were 9.99 each and there was 2 of us. I have never in my life had not been given a bill after eating until now. Demanding me to pay and not knowing what I was paying for. I will never return to this restaurant again. Terrible service and Horrible washrooms which would not be up to a health code. I dont reccomend anyone to go there unless you speak there foreign language. Miserable bunch of woman at a restaurant called "Friends". The irony. SMH

Very bad quality. Previous owner was better. I bought tava rotis and it is so ad, burnt and very bad shaped. 7 year kid can make better

A good place with some desi style food. Got to love the spice. Clean place with good staff. Just need to be generous with complimentary stuff (lil bit of salad) if the customer is buying food.

Looks good from outside but They sold us White rice mixed with chicken curry as chicken buriyani 9+ and idiy with sambar portion was too small not worth 5.99

The owners are very miser, lock the washroom, not to give you more than 2 napkins, employees are very nice, food is ok

Best taste in town I have one advice for the customer for those who wrote bad comments about washroom if they are locking their washroom that’s good because sometimes people miss use of it and that’s for safety purpose

I've been buying samosas (and sweets) here for almost 2 decades. The food never disappoints, I don't even live in Brampton anymore but I still go anytime I'm in the GTA.
