This place looks nice, especially the sushi bar with a train of boats carrying dishes that goes around it. The food is fine, but it does not have any distinctive feature. While it is not an expensive place, the food is not so great either, so the cost/benefit ends up being somewhat unfavorable.

A nice Japanese restaurant were you can set in front of a sushi boat and see before you choose or have the option to set/eat on tables. Busy but good food and good atmosphere

Excellent quality and variety of sushi and sashimi, bit pricey but perfect for company lunch with teams or clients. There is a sushi boat river bar for fewer people. Beautiful presentation for all dishes.

Very busy in the evenings.everyone can enjoy this place. Lots of varieties. They have something for everyone. If you have any dietary restrictions should be fine but Let them know. Funnnnn.

Love Fune. I can spend hours here because of its mellow atmosphere. You can pace yourself on eating and each dish is delicious! It's fun to eat at a belt.

Lovely little Japanese restaurant tucked away in the core. It's ideal for grabbing some dinner before attending a concert at the TSO, which is right down the street.

The atmosphere is cozy, and the service is quick, professional, and pleasant. The food itself was excellent with a plethora of different options.

Looking forward to visiting again.

Love the fresh fish and excellent service.try the spicy tuna, the dragon roll, the mountain roll, the unagi.try it all!

This place is great. They have the sushi items floating around the bar on colour-coded plates. I love this place.

Unfortunately, there is an application to tear it down and build a condo here. Write a letter to your city councillor.

Quite an expensive place. But it’s a fun experience to sit around a turning table full of boats on water carrying sushi. They also have a menu where you can order more expensive items like the fatty tuna. The fatty tuna sushi is quite nice, but the sashimi is not that fat. Meaning it’s a lower quality cut of the tuna.

Food quality was good. Portions on the smaller side. That's not a bad thing but the cost wasn't smaller.

Made a reservation to be seated at the sushi bar and overall it was a good experience. Like other users have said, it’s pricey for mediocre sushi and fish. I also ordered a katsu from their menu and it was not good. Either it was pre fried or refried.

We also grabbed a few sushi plates on the moving boats. The sushi plates are priced individually by their plate patterns. There was no price listed on the table and the plates with sushi doesn’t have a price either. Instead of printing a cheat sheet (which would have been easier), they placed a set of empty plates with their respective prices on the boats. I think they must have placed one set only because it took a long time for it come back and I keep forgetting how much each plate would cost.

I’d recommend a quick bite, definitely not worth the money.

Such a cute restaurant. The sushi boats are amazing to choose your food from. Staff is also helpful for when you want to order off the menu.

Great place for a date. Difficult place for a group of friends if you sit around the sushi boats. This is because you cannot get to loud, there is a classy atmosphere to the place that you would not want to disrupt. Over all very good and different (in a great way!) experience.

Atmosphere is amazing and the food is excellent. Staff is willing to bend over backwards for you. The menu states deep fried gyoza and I asked them if they could pan fry it and they did!

Definitely try the Japanese Whisky selection they offer, superb.

I got engaged her over 5 years ago and it was absolutely amazing! I had gotten meals from the boats so I can't speak for the menu BUT the environment is fantastic and the fish quality is the best I've ever had. While its definitely on the expensive side, it's great for special occasions or just a nice date to go on with your significant other (: setting up the proposal was also very easy and I seriously recommend anyone who had this place in mind ;)

Wonderful staff, delicious cuisine, great presentation. The sushi came around the table on a conveyor boat which was verrrry cool. Would definitely recommend for a different experience.

None of the sushi chefs weren’t Japanese sushi chef. But some servers when we went there were Japanese ladies. We understand they are definitely one of the good sushi restaurant in Toronto but compared to the other authentic sushi restaurant, we could not put more than three star. We still enjoyed the kaiten sushi with a nice atmosphere but we wish they to improve the quality of taste further.

Sat at the bar, and it was nice seeing the plates with prices on them! All the sushi was so good and such good quality! Would love to come here again and try their other food!

Made a reservation here to celebrate my birthday, and it wasn't bad at all. Firstly, we were seated at a regular table, so I asked if we could be moved to the convertor belt, and the staff were incredibly accommodating. This being my first time trying "conveyor belt sushi", it was a fun experience and the rolls tasted great (really pricey though, as you pay per plate)! The only downside was that I ordered the lobster and steak, and both were overcooked (those meats have to be just right!).

Overall, I enjoyed it, but considering the price we paid, there are definitely better options out there.

Service were fast and good. I was so surprised by quality of food. Scallops and fishes were not fresh as I expected

Extremely Pricey and not that much food for what it was.
Language barrier can also be difficult to properly talk to the waitress
15 April 2019 23:07
Best sushi I've ever had, really nice and friendly staff, sushi bar and boats looks really impressive, loved the variety of options, can get quite pricey but it's all up to you whatever you choose from boats, can't wait to try it again!
15 April 2019 12:53
Excellent sushi. The sushi is placed on little boats that float around and you are able to choose what you want to eat from the boats. The pricing depends on the color and design of the plate and can get a little confusing after a few saki.

Amazing atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff, and super delicious food. Would recommend to anyone who loves fresh sushi!
29 March 2019 20:40
Fun experience with decent sushi but lacking in that wow factor for the price. You are paying a premium for the experience of having one of, if not, the only conveyor belt boat sushi restaurant experiences in Toronto. Service was satisfactory and attentive but expected for the price. Sushi variety was average with some exotic options and a range of drink and sake selections at all price points. Each plate is between $4.50 to $8.50 for two pieces, on average. Higher priced items like uni are also available. The uni was tasty enough but not from Japanese waters. I would return annually for the floating boat (Fune) experience, not for the price or quality of fish.

What a phenomenal restaurant! From the food to the décor to the service, everything was top notch! We were a group of 50, yes fifty people! But the service was impeccable. The servers took great care of us and gave each individual the attention they deserve. The ambiance is sultry and chic. Deep red and black alternate the walls and there's a stunning water display spanning the wall adjacent to the sushi chefs who are in the middle of the restaurant surrounded by a conveyor belt rotating a delicious variety of small bites to try. The best part is that the small plates are circling the chefs on wooden boats! We ordered an array of dishes and shared. All of them fantastic! The spicy scallop roll was so fresh, the soft shell crab was incredibly delicate and I think their ponzu sauce is the best I've ever had! The ribeye teriaky beef was unbelievably tender and the sashimi was just the right cut and temperature. Highly recommend this place!

Im concerned about hygiene with all these mosquitoes around, maybe change the water? Very average sushis for this price. Staff is friendly but a bit intrusive.
24 March 2019 5:08
I have been there a few times, and it's a good place to go for lunch, price is pretty good, food is not bad either.

Mediocre sushi. Very flawed way of charging for the "Sushi Boats". If you go I would recommend ordering off the menu. The floating bar does not have their better products. The fish was fresh, fine for a casual dinner. However the variety and quality could have been better. At the end of the dinner it was " Fine".
14 February 2019 19:30
Price range slightly on the higher side for some decent sushi. The fish is fairly good quality and melts in your mouth. I had the chirashi bowl, the portion was barely enough to make you feel satisfied. I sat at the bar with the floating sushi boats, and the ambiance is pretty nice. However the portion of the sushi on the boats for the price is kinda expensive, and adds up.

My first experience here was for my grad dinner 2 years ago! Fune makes the BEST sushi I have had in Toronto-the fish is fresh and just melts in your mouth. I have come back around 3 more times over the past year, and haven't had one bad experience! The experience is unique and the sushi chefs are friendly and will make you anything you request. Defiantly would recommend for a sushi lover (there are also cooked options for those who don't like raw fish).
