Thank you to the Furniture Bank for picking up our furniture as we downsize and move away. The two employees who came to pick up the items were kind, considerate, and careful with us and our donated belongings. It's very encouraging to know that the these pieces of furniture will be given to those who need them and that this furniture will continue to be useful to others.

A wonderful service. The crew that came over to pick up our furniture was professional, polite, and very efficient. Couldn't really ask for more, and I'm grateful that our old couch is going to a new home.

Furniture Bank was professional, helpful and friendly from my first interaction online, to the phone call for set up to the removal of the furniture. Matt and Castel are professional movers who took care with removing a sofa and two recliners. They took care to avoid walls and got the furniture through a narrow doorway. I am so glad my furniture can be used by someone who can use it - it has served us well and can now serve someone else. Thank you Furniture Bank!

The Furniture Bank is great! I had a mattress and box spring I didn't need anymore and within 3 days of putting in a request they came and picked it up. Everyone I dealt with was really nice and professional. I'll definitely use them again to get rid of gently used furniture - so much better than the landfill!

Dealing with the Furniture Bank for my donation was an amazing experience. They quoted after I filled the form out on their website, and then follow up with a pick up time etc. The movers who came were nothing but pleasant and professional. I would donate and furniture to the Furniture Bank moving forward. Yes I had to pay them to pick up my items, however they did give me a fair value tax receipt and the money they use to pick up the furniture goes to gas. The furniture bank is NOT selling your furniture for a profit like some other organizations. They give it for free to those in need.

Very convenient - they came in and hauled everything away. We had donated 3 couches, twin mattress, computer chair, and dresser. Highly recommend!

Applications for the furniture bank can only be made through referring organizations, and the process in getting to know the system was stressful.

The warehouse was clean and well organized. The customer service was great. Even with the tight timeline they were patient with the client who was clearly overwhelmed and kept changing his mind.

Overall this is a fantastic service and the client was gushing with excitement at the end. Donations are very well managed and always needed.

I had the worst experience with furniture bank. I moved to Brampton from different province last year. My case worker referred me to them. Since Augest 2021 they bever get me my mattresses. Every time I call they asked for my phone number and no one ever called me back.

It was so easy to arrange the pick-up of the furniture, and my elderly parents loved the professionalism and expertise with which their old furniture was removed. I love how their furniture will end up in someone's home instead of a landfill. Thank you furniture bank.

We had donated items to The Furniture Bank before at their warehouse, and had been impressed by their operation and their Five Star rating from Charity Intelligence. In the context of a move and downsizing, we booked their pick-up service to collect a larger amount of furniture.

The booking service was excellent throughout. The people we dealt with were helpful and responsive, although we had to change the items donated once or twice.

The two movers who did the move could not have been better. They were courteous, efficient and very considerate of us and our home. They spoke of the charity’s operations with obvious pride, and gave us confidence that our donations would find good homes.

We are in the process of moving my mother out of the home she's lived in for 42 years, and into an apartment in a residence for seniors. The new place is much smaller than her house, of course, so we were thrilled to hear about Furniture Bank as a way to get her furniture to people who could really make use of it, and keep it out of landfill! Everyone I have dealt with through Furniture Bank has been helpful and friendly, both on the phone and when the team arrived (as scheduled!) to pick up our donation. It was easy to arrange, and we feel gratified that we might be able to help people who really need some support.

Although their pick up service seems expensive, please keep in mind that your are helping families and you do receive a generous tax receipt. I was happy to donate some items to the furniture bank so they could be given to someone who needed them. The scheduling and pickup process was smooth. The information on the web site was clear and the staff were responsive to my emails and provided all the details I needed. I had to wait a few weeks for the pickup but that was ok.

Yes you have me on file, I told you I didn't agree to that amount via email. It does not cost 1k to pick the stuff up from me, you are charging nearly double what I have been quoted to junk it. It would take 2-3 hours round trip, there is no possible way to justify the cost.

A few weeks ago I contacted the Furniture Bank to donate a sectional. I sent an email with a photo and received an expedient response. The process was explained and both a quote was given for the pick-up and for my income tax receipt. A date was set. A reminder text was sent a couple days before and the pick-up date. Thirty minutes prior to arrival, I received a call. The 2 gentleman who came were very pleasant and practiced all covid 19 protocols. I'm thrilled that someone who is in need will be able to put my couch to good use.

Excellent Customer Service! - I used Furniture Bank to dispose of some good furniture I no longer need. Everyone there from the first person I contacted to the two guys that picked it up were friendly and professional. I love the idea that my old furniture goes to someone who really needs it and I get a charitable donation tax receipt. The process was easy and clear. I have used them before and will do so again.

I was familiar with the “Furniture Bank” when we delivered a bedroom suite to the Oakville location The staff at the Etobicoke location were very accommodating and friendly. The moving personnel were prompt and efficient. The experience was concluded very quickly. They are very professional and we were so pleased to know it would all go to good homes for the next generation.

Best way to donate furniture I could find. They arrived on time and were fast and professional. I would not look further if I had to do something similar again.

Great organization. Moving crew were great and moved out the furniture quickly and efficiently. They provide a tax receipt for the furniture donated.

No one answers the phone. Left messages, took days to call back.
After paying $250.00 over the phone, I tried to communicate with the office via phone and email, three times, regarding my location and address in Toronto. I kept receiving texts stating that a confirmation email was sent to me. Never received these emails. Reached out to rectify the miscommunication to no avail. I didn't receive any response.
On the day of pick up, driver didn't know where he was going. Called me twice due to being at the wrong address.
I was not impressed.
I would recommend calling a junk removal company in the future. Some junk removal companies in Toronto donate usable furniture to charity as well.

Staff was able to come and pick up all the furniture from the home of my recently departed father. He passed away in December/2019, but in these uncertain times, we thought it best that a donation to the Furniture Bank was better than tossing all the quality usable furniture. We were very happy with the professional service of the team that showed up on a Saturday mid-day to move everything safely from the garage and from the driveway. We had a LOT of items that filled the truck. They worked solidly to get it all done and in the end we got a tax receipt for the donation. Win-Win!

Investing in the Furniture Bank service was well worth the $150. Less headache for me (selling furniture is such a pain) and I got tax receipt. The guys showed up on time and were very professional and courteous. The best part is the furniture didn't end up in the landfill and a family is able to enjoy it. Everybody wins!

Had a great experience with Furniture Bank. We recently donated several large items that we no longer needed, including some couches, armchairs, tables, a bookshelf and a desk. Arranging the donation was quick and easy, thanks to Stella of Furniture Bank who was very responsive and great to work with. The movers arrived right on time, quickly loaded everything up in their truck and were on their way within a half hour. We're glad that our gently-used furniture will help someone else build a home. We'll definitely use Furniture Bank again and will encourage our friends and family to do so too.

Responsive, communicative, and responsible - had a mattress that we didn't love, and the company arranged for Furniture Bank to pick it up. It was a seamless experience, and the staff were professional and helpful!

Very courteous and responsive, and on time.in fact a bit early. I contacted them to take away a bed and some dining chairs.they charge a small fee (in my opinion) that is completely offset by a charitable donation receipt. Will use them again no doubt!

It was only after they saw the bad review did they finally comply to give back the full refund. Will not change rating nor shop from them again.

We recently moved and needed to downsize some furniture. Given that Furniture Bank donates all items directly to families desperately in need in our community, they were the perfect company to call.
Furniture Bank is currently performing distanced contactless pick-ups where you leave your items on your porch or in your garage, and they pick them up completely distanced and contactless for everyone's protection.
The team today was very professional ensuring that all guidelines were performed.

Very welcoming place. Good customer service. One of the best places to work at.staff there are like family we help each other.

I went to the Furniture Bank to pick up a couch and ended up having to take other items which I was grateful for at the time. When the truck arrived the people that were moving the furniture and items we're going to turn around and leave without giving me the couch because they couldn't figure out how to get it in the doorway. I had to tell them to take off the legs and guide them.they were clearly not professional at all. Some of the other items that I chose were in perfect condition and the movers damaged and broke several items. One vintage item that was very delicate ended up getting broken because of the way it was carried.such a simple thing to avoid. Then another item that was brought to me was not even one that I chose. Each item costs something and despite the fact that I made them make note of it no one contacted me to see what they could do. If you are going to the furniture bank obviously you have limited means and each item cost me something. If I didn't get what I ordered I should have gotten a refund or at least an apology of some sort. So I paid for items that I wish I didn't get because to have them ruined kind of takes away the point of having them bring it to me just to put in the garbage. Why would anyone want things that are damaged. They certainly were not damaged at the warehouse. I just wish someone would have reached out to me but no one did.

Today I had a pick-up from the Furniture Bank. I donated my grandmother's antique dresser. I was very pleased with the professional service that I received from the movers. Great organization that redistributes furniture to those in need of it. We had some furniture that we were not able to move into our downsized house and I'm glad that it is being put to good use, rather than being thrown out. I appreciate their work. Great communication on pickup time.

We got really amazing furniture from there but 4 stars for one sofa-bed that was super dirty - all in hair and stains from food. We couldn't keep it.
All the furniture was delivered next day. Volunteer (can't remember her name) at the furniture bank was super sweet and helpful.
I even got cute yellow child table and small chairs.

I had a great experience with Furniture Bank in Toronto from start to finish! I had two gently used couches that I wanted to donate to an organization that would ensure they went to someone in need. Stella was incredibly helpful when answering my questions and organizing the pick-up. The two gentleman who came to pick up the donated couches were incredibly friendly, professional, and efficient as well. They navigated through my very narrow hallway like pros, and were in and out of my place in about 20 minutes (and all during a massive snowstorm). Overall, a very positive experience and I will definitely look to Furniture bank in the future!

Good furniture can be gotten there for free and you can also drop the furniture you no longer need but are in good condition.

It was my first time there, accompanying someone and I was so impressed. The reception area is bright, beautiful and stylish. The receptionist was so kind and patient. The system was very organized. They keep to their schedule.
The volunteers who took people around the warehouse were patient, dignifying and kind.
The delivery time isn't too long to wait.
They had all the basic type of furniture and some accessories and appliances. Most things were very dated (<90s furniture) but in fair condition.

Only thing I didn't like was that we weren't given an option of dates to visit (just 1 date) and the delivery fee is high (max $200). It's also far for those taking transit.

I am grateful for this type of service. Thanks for all you do.

When downsizing our home a friend of ours shared their experience with Furniture Bank. To think that our furniture and housewares would go to a family in need we didn’t think twice. We called them up and I spoke to a delightful rep who walked me through their process. For $450.00 two gentlemen came two our home, removed our items (very professional and polite) I also received a great charitable receipt. Win win for all. Social Enterprises are great. I highly recommend them. They’ll be receiving my end year financial gift ongoing.

They helped me so much suffering a server mental break down I through out all my furniture they came and saved my children and I.

Office staff were excellent. The lady who helped us was very kind and pleasent. Had varaity of choises. But movers were really poor service. For delivery they reached very late, I booked my elevator from 9a.m to 12 p.m but they didn't make it on time, once they reached the elevator was mode of not in service (out of booked time) and movers said that they can not drop on door due to elevator not in service so they drop all the furnitures close to lobby and went.may be due to unprofessional way of handling most of glass items were broken as attached picture.
