Dr. Tyber and the staff were amazing! This was my first time at this location, and every step of the eye examination process was explained to me.

He (Dr. Tyber) swindled my elderly parents and left my dying father without glasses. I reported him. He should have his licence revoked. I'm noting that there are many fake reviews of his clinic here. However, the ones discussing his disrespectful and arrogant attitude are 100% correct.
He is a fake, a fraud, and should not be practicing.
I'm sure there is disciplinary action against him on behalf of the College.

Dr. Kevin Tyber has became very rude in the past couple of years. He disrespect his patients. He pushes patients to buy the frames/glasses from his own shop. If the glasses are bought else were he would not even look at them.
He gave me incorrect prescription. When I got my glasses I was not able to see things properly. Everything was blur. Dr. Tyber refused to see me again without paying him again. In the second visit he found a mistake in his prescription but again he blamed it on the place from where I bought my glasses. (note that I got my glasses from one of the top Eye glasses store chain in North America)
Save yourself from humiliations and not see this doctor.

After a year long eye ordeal, post retina reattachment surgery and cataract surgery, I was referred to Dr Tyber and his team at the Ajax location. Incredibly thorough testing with state of the art equipment, led to a new prescription AND a new eye condition that needs to be treated and monitored (caught in early stages). My eyesight seems almost normal again and I am very grateful to be a patient of Dr Tyber and his professional team.

The ladies were absolutely wonderful. Extremely helpful, kind and courteous. They went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and were very knowledgeable. I would recommend FYI Doctors Ajax the same as I was recommended by my boss.

I have been a patient of Dr. Tyber for over twenty years, I have found him and his staff to be very caring and accommodating. I had to have cataract surgery resently, I was referred toDr Korzinstone by Dr Tyber, I had the surgery at Bowmanville Eye clinic, I was treated with respect and caring by all with whom I came in contact with from registering to pre op. I would highly recommend anyone having cataract surgery to go there. I want to thank Dr. Tyber and his staff for their attentive service over the years.

Over 10 years ago I had difficulties reading data on my computer screen. I asked one of my bespectacled colleagues if he knew of any good optometrists. His response was that he knew of one excellent optometrist and the optometrist's name was Dr Kevin Tyber. Knowing that my colleague, is not one to give accolades easily, I took his advice and made an appointment with Dr Tyber. I have found Dr Tyber to be extremely, professional, caring and empathetic to any issues with my sight. I appreciate Dr Tyber's communication skills, his ability to discuss issues with my sight in layman’s language and his ability to explain to me, the impacts of his recommendations of my quality of life. I would highly, recommend Dr Kevin Tyber to anyone who is seeking an excellent optometrist.

Forgot my insurance slip/info one time and Tyber shamed me the whole appointment. I'd been seing him since I was a kid, just lost a parent, and he couldn't have cared less. Honestly one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a "professional". It was hard for him to work on my eyes because they kept tearing up out of the anger/embarrassment he had caused me to feel. But did he care? No. He wanted his money. And he wanted me to feel bad.
And based on his replies to other reviewers, I fully expect him to respond to me about how I'm providing misinformation or exaggerating. Such defensiveness just goes to show the type of person this doctor is.
I've moved onto a better optometrist.

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Tyber for over 30 years and during that time I have had a number of medical eye issues as well as normal eye problems. Dr Tyber has kept up with new treatments that have been of great benefit in dealing with recent problems I have had. I have found he and his staff to be friendly and very professional in helping me deal with my needs over the years. I highly recommend this practice.

I saw both doctors available at this location.
Dr Tyber's bedside manners are not very pleasant but seems to be quite knowledgeable. Dr Odiase listens to your issues and does a good full exam.
My only concern was both doctors stated they could not help me with a problem of a wondering right eye.
I went to another eye doctor for a 2nd/3rd opinion.was sent to a specialist and had strabismus surgery within 2 months and now I can see straight.
Disappointed that both the doctors didn't even give me the option. It was like they didn't even know this type of surgery existed.

I have been going to this office for years. I have no complaints. My family physician advised me to see my optometrist due to a floater that developed. I met Dr. C. Odiase for the first time today and was so pleased. Excellent chair side manor, explained everything to me and what to look for. She eased my concerns. I felt like I knew her for years.
FYI My daughter took my grandkids to her a while back and they were so excited to tell me what Dr. Odiase taught them about their eyes.

I have never taken the opportunity to use social media to make my feelings made public about an individual or company but I feel strongly about the services I have received from Kevin Tyber and his staff. I have been fortunate to have him as my optometrist for some 30 plus years. Thank you Kevin for looking after my most recent needs. The replacement lenses I needed were well beyond the warranty time frame but he stepped up and corrected the problem immediately. Thanks again, Kevin, see you next time.
