I have been a patient of Dr. Gillezeau for many, many years and have received personable and thorough eye care throughout. The staff at the front desk and in the eyewear area are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend FYidoctors for all your eyecare needs!

I saw Dr. J. Hum today. He spend so much time explaining small little things as I was experiencing red eye. Thank you for being so thorough.
He is highly recommended. My daughter's visit him also.

My family has been attending FYI for many years and I have always found our Dr's to be knowledgeable, professional and thorough. Both Dr. Hum and Dr. Tang are always so kind and explain any issues. You never feel rushed and they are happy to answer any questions. The office staff are also very nice and helpful. Overall it has always been an excellent experience esp having the eyeglass showroom right beside it. I highly recommend FYIdoctors if you are looking for eye care.

With respect to the showroom, I can't say enough about how helpful the staff are when it comes to choosing eye wear. There is no pressure to buy at all. They walk you through your lens options and the turnaround time is good. After care has been great too together with their protection plan which is too affordable not to get. I would also highly recommend getting your glasses here. The Dr is right there if they have any questions as well to ensure I'm getting the right product. Thanks for great customer service on this side too!

So happy with my new reading glasses and polarized clip sun glasses. Staff were so helpful in finding quality choices and that suited my budget and needs!

Dr. Van is a great optometrist. He is thorough and explains everything he is doing. I love the new glasses I got from the Pickering FYI clinic. They were done a week ahead of schedule. I am using them to type this review!

What a wonderful place to get my eyes checked! Doctor fitzimmons is a great doctor and the receptionist that dealt with me Amy was an absolute bundle of joy! Although I wasn’t impressed with Anna’s attitude Amy made the experience so much better

Dr. Wang is very nice and knowledgable, took the time to explain everything to me. Staff is very nice as well. Recommend to all.

Dr. Fitzsimmons and his staff are extremely helpful and friendly. I also placed an order for some eyewear in the dispensary, where the staff were also exceptional (big thanks to Brandon, Sarah and Krystal - apologies if I didn't get the correct spelling), Staff were constantly disinfecting surfaces during my visit - this is a safe place.

My experience with Fyi was great. They helped me choose great glasses and I received them in just over a week. Brandon also saw me last minute to help me out and clean my glasses. Alba was also helpful in helping me select the right frames for me.

Dr Gillizeau has been my optometrist for at least three decades; he's terrific. Recently his optometry staff assisted me with updating my glasses lenses; Brendan and Alba were extremely helpful and thorough.

No stars for me but had to put one on to be able to post. I would stay away from this place unfortunately i had the worst experience one could ever have. I would not recommend Dr Loi Van I was a new patient for him and he was recommended by a friend and i felt like I was treated like a assembly line very quick visit. He gave me a prescription and when i got my new glasses I couldn’t see from the left lens it was blurry when i went back to have them checked by a Cindy who worked in where you buy your glasses and she said who made my new glasses they were off from the prescription but when i had them checked by two other opticians they were right on to the prescription Dr Van gave me, I asked if i could have Dr Van check the prescription they said Dr Van would charge me a revisit charge of $65.are you kidding me i said. I went to another optician and when he did the eye exam he gave me a entirely different prescription then Dr Vans so when i showed the new doctor the prescription that Dr Van gave me he said no wonder you couldn’t see from the glasses. I was so disappointed that Dr Van would not even return my calls and only advise his manager to charge me if i want a re check. All they care about is making money and if you don't buy your glasses there they don't support you. Horrible service stay clear of this office and especially this Dr. Loi Van. I’m just being honest Ive never written a review before but felt like i wanted to warn others.

My family and I have been patients for more than 30 years and we've always been very happy with our care. Dr. Fitzsimmons and Dr. Gillezeau are excellent. The staff at reception and also the glasses centre are efficient and helpful as well.

Left one star out ONLY BECAUSE I haven’t had a chance to experience FYI in person, but I had called because my glasses broke and received a call back almost immediately and even though they didn’t have space to book me in, they gave me suggestions on what to do and even suggested some other optometrists that I could look at as my situation was pretty urgent.

I love people who genuinely care about people!

I called "my optometrist" with some eye symptoms that I was worried about. After waiting 2 hours to hear back I phoned to check the status (being respectful he may have been with patients). The response was that he would be unavailable to see me, try the emerg department. Given the symptoms put forth I hoped for a little more diligence with triage and openness to accommodate. The schedule was full until for 2 months. I'm very disappointed. If you require routine rx check, by all means. But don't expect any emergent care or reassurance. I would have paid a full exam fee.

Dr. Gillezeau is one of the best in the biz and a wonderful person. The dispensary won’t let you leave unless you are fitted properly and 100% satisfied. I am a long-term client and have never been disappointed with the care received. I would highly recommend this team of vision professionals.

Doctors and front office staff are good but the woman at the dispensary when picking up my glasses was terrible. Very rude and no sense of customer service. Will not buy glasses here again.

Dr. Fitzsimmons is wonderful. On my last visit I needed to see one of his associates and was pleased. The real reason for writing this review to say that Crystal in the dispensary was FABULOUS! During covid it is more challenging to get new glasses/frames. Crystal spent a long time with me and was so helpful and patient as I decided on new frames. Thank you!

We love Dr Fitzsimmons.
We have been going to him for many years.
I have moved away and still come back to see him.
He will be my eye doctor for life.

I highly recommend Dr. Tyber as an optometrist. Knowledgeable, patient and excellent with kids. The staff there are kind and helpful.

Dr. Emile Gillezeau is the BEST eye doctor! He is the only one who has gotten my prescription perfect. Cindy and co-workers are very helpful when picking out frames. Thank you to all.

Dr Wang and Cindy proved to be an unbeatable team - once again - when I recently had an eye exam which lead to new glasses. Dr Wang was clear and courteous when guiding me through the test procedures and interpreting the results. Does he ever have an off-day? Not in 10 years that I have seen him!
And when it comes to turning a new prescription into eye glasses, it starts with finding just the right frames. And, once again, Cindy guided my choices in way that gives confidence in the face of rows & rows of options. Her experience shows.
I picked up my glasses today. She quickly tweaked the frames for a better fit —— And Done. And Happy.

Dr. Gillezeau has once again shown his excellent professional care of his patients. My husband had a foreign body lodged in his cornea. After convincing my husband to have this looked at, he finally contacted Dr. Gillezeau. This foreign object had been in my husband's eye for 3 weeks. Dr. Gillezeau referred him to three specialists who quickly responded and we chose an excellent corneal specialist in Ajax. Safe to say that all went extremely well. Foreign body gone. Eye healing. Thank God we live in Canada where we have excellent health care and professionals like Dr. Gillezeau!

This place is AWFUL. The eye doctor was great but when it came time to getting my frames and lenses done it was a nightmare. I was told I'd be booked for a fitting for contact lenses. Was never contacted. They somehow FORGOT to tell me my lenses were ready? I had to call them? I MORE THAN ONCE I went to pick them up they couldn't find me in the system? Now a year later I would like to be sent my prescription via email. I've called since last Thursday etheir no one picks up OR when they do they completely ignore your request because I'm STILL waiting after calling more than FIFTEEN TIMES. This place is beyond frustrating. I'm taking my service and my families service elsewhere.
