I had an appointment for Sept 12 and I just received a phone call that it has been canceled and as there is only one optometrist, they couldn't make another appointment. The last time I got glasses I was floored by how much the glasses had gone up in price since FYI doctors took over. I'm finding a new optometrist. I've been at this one for 38 years!

Zaid Chaudhry has been the most amazing and professional optometrist for me. He took the time and care to make sure my vision needs were met and I can highly recommend him to others. The staff in the eye glass dispensary gave me a lot of help picking out my glasses and coordinating well with Dr. Chaudhry...

I have been a patient at this office for over 40 years. The doctors have always been excellent. Not sure what is going on in the office but 3 phone calls have not been returned, contacts have been ordered instead of returning my phone calls and now realizing that the contacts that they ordered are not even the right ones. Ridiculous amount of time has been spent on a simple request for a return call from the person in charge of ordering contacts.

Watch out- only one optometric doctor on staff now. Appointments that are set up are suddenly cancelled, and the new ones are offered many months later. Too bad- have gone here for years but the ownership change has severely deteriorated this service. Do not recommend this optometrist.

Terrible experience twice. This last time has been the tipping point. Wanted to get a new set of regular and safety glasses. Was told my prescription was expired after a year which is silly. So had to pay for an eye exam to find out my prescription hadn't changed. When I set up the appointment I also asked to do the contact introduction. They had my eye measurements on file from a previous visit. They failed to order the contacts and told me I had to come back in for that adding another day I have to take off work since they are not open on the weekends. My regular glasses came in as promised but my safety glasses did not. They tried to get me to come in just for the one pair, again requesting me to take more time than needed. I chose to wait until the safety glasses came in. They came in about 3 weeks later than I was told. When I picked them up everything seemed fine. After wearing them today I found out they are not transition lenses despite me requesting them. I apparently didn't pay for that but I'm positive I have. After calling them to tell them that they told me they can't do transition safety glasses due to health and safety issues. That is a blatant lie due to the fact my last two pairs from them have been safety glasses with transition lenses. At this point I have to wait until Friday (it's Tuesday) to talk to the person who took my order. So they are currently doing nothing to fix this situation.

This company has taken a devastating dive downwards since being bought out by fyi doctors. I've been going here since I was a little boy (currently in my 30s) with no issues. Not the case anymore. Besides the lack of care for their clients they often don't pick up the phone, ask you not to leave a message on their machine and often don't leave a message on your voice-mail when they call. I've been sitting in the waiting area waiting for an appointment while three people were behind the desk letting the phone ring until it went to their voice-mail. I also heard one of them say we are closing in 10 minutes, they should call earlier. This place will do nothing to help you. They just lie to help themselves. I would give this 0 stars but you can't. Do yourself a favor and never go there.

I loved this optometry practice in the past. I was a patient for 20 years. I liked the doctors and the staff seemed happy. I was happy with the service.

I noticed a change in recent years. The staff became rude and short. When Dr. Fenn left the first time, the receptionist told me he had left the province. It turns out he was at Old North Optometry the whole time. I saw Dr. McLeod instead and then by my next visit Dr. Fenn was back.

This time when I called to book an appointment I was told the same story, he moved out of province and they don't know where. I don't like being lied to. It seems unnecessary.

I decided to find a new optometrist. There has always been at least a 20-30 minute wait for your appointment here. I overlooked that because I was happy with the service. Now it's no longer worth it for me. The staff don't seem happy.

Had a very good experience this morning getting new glasses. I was not rushed out the door. Shelly took her time with me and made sure I understood everything and that I was happy before I left. I have been coming here for years.

At the end of April I needed to get a new pair of glasses quickly as I had broken my current pair. I left a very poor review due to some issues with the replacement glasses.
I have changed my poor review to an excellent one. FYIdocs reached out to me based on this review and are now correcting the problem with some of the best customer service I have ever experienced.

I received my confirmation call for my appt and was told it was now cancelled as I mentioned I would be bringing my newborn (7 week old infant) with me. The reason given for the cancelled appt is that it is your company policy that all persons must wear a mask and unfortunately because infants cannot wear a mask I would not be allowed entry.
In the past 7 weeks I have been to follow up appts at our family Dr, Paediatrician and the hospital - none of these appts required my newborn to wear a mask and I was not denied an appt.

I have been a patient of Dr. McLeod’s since my first pair of glasses 22 years ago. I will now be finding a new eye Dr.
I am on maternity leave with my spouse who works 11hrs days so I do not have access to additional childcare. I am exclusively breastfeeding at the moment so I have no other option as where I go my newborn comes with me.

I sent an email to the customer service team over 2 weeks ago and no one has taken the time to respond.

I recently had a vision assessment with Dr. Tom Psutka. Overall it was a very impressive and positive experience for me. The clinic itself is very accessible. The high degree of cleanliness and the covid safety protocols followed in the clinic was very reassuring. The state of the art technology used in assessing my vision and eye health was incredible. The staff were warm and welcoming and friendly and very helpful. Special thanks to Maria who guided me through frame selection etc. She is fantastic. Dr. Psutka is the epitome of professionalism, enhanced by his warm and caring nature. He explained my vision issues very well and helped my understand how they can be looked after. He incorporated state of the art lens technology into my new prescription. I recently took delivery of my new eye glasses (4 pair). They are incredibly comfortable and the improvement in my vision is fantastic! I recommend Dr. Tom Psutka and his staff in the highest possible way.

Dr. Finlayson was terrific. Knowledgeable, sensitive, informative… I immediately felt at ease and felt confident in my receiving expert eye care. Staff was great, too.
HIGHLY recommend.

I just heard that Dr. Fenn has left the practice. I have been with this office for almost 2 decades. He was the only person worth consulting. Aside from too much sales pitch, long wait times, frequent indifference from the front desk, this supposed medical facility is simply unhygienic: dirty ceiling fans; discoloured tiles; filthy counters; ancient seating area. The place has not been renovated in decades. They keep asking for customer feedback, yet nothing changes.

Totally poor service. I have had 4 appointments cancelled now and every time it is 4 month wait. I understand the one for covid but come on this is totally pathetic. I am done with this place.

Always received excellent service and high-quality lenses from the entire staff! They are handling the covid restrictions, new procedures, and sanitation very well. I trust Dr. Ferry with my sight, and the administrative and dispensary staff with expensive frames bought elsewhere - they replaced old lenses with my updated prescription and each pair has been 100% perfect.
Keep up the great work! Thanks for everything you do.

Dr Psutka is quite competent, but his office administration is not. When the office was closed due to Covid, they didn't call me, so I drove in, arrived and was told to go home because they had just made the decision to stop taking patients for the future 11 minutes earlier. Mine was the first appointment cancelled. I rescheduled on the spot for July 23. Mid July I called to double check my appointment time and they informed me that they had left me a message changing my appointment because other people needed their covid-cancelled appointments rescheduled. They had not left a message. At least not for me. And please remember I was literally the first cancelled appointment. I received a call on Friday reminding me my appointment was at "3: 50/ten to 4" repeated 3 times. I arrived early. For an appointment at 3: 10. And then I was told there was no possibility to reschedule me anytime soon. 4 years ago, this office forgot to complete my add-on vision test (glaucoma) and told me I'd need to come back. I'm sorry that the office continues to think it's okay to mess around with schedules showing no concern for its clients.

2 Things: 1. My appointment felt more like a sales pitch than an eye exam. 2. The doctor spoke to the lovely ladies up front with such a demeaning and condescending manner. It was just awkward checking out.

I've been a patient of Dr Forristal for at least 20 years, and am part of the silent majority of very happy patients. Great people, state of the art equipment (retina imaging blows me away every time), resulting in great vision correction.
