What a wonderful experience l had at this trendy eatery, right across from the ROM in Toronto. Todd my gracious host and dapper bartender serviced me with excellence and professionalism. My tender breast of chicken sandwich was tasty and delicious. Gabby's have come a long since the early 90's.

Pub food that's pretty much sus it up. Beer selection is okay. Service is a bit sluggish on a busy night but it goes to any busy pub.still would love for it to be snappier. Clean and cozy.

Nice atmosphere, wasn't loud like other restaurants, a person can actually have a conversation without having to yell. Food was pretty good.i had the chicken sandwich. Clean and nice staff. I will be back

My friends and I stopped here for dinner after going to the ROM. We all enjoyed our food. My spouse and I are vegetarian right now and they even had a few things on the menu for us. They have a "Beyond" burger, which we ordered, and it was great.

I tried Canadian IPA here. Hopcity brewed in Ontario. Taste is good. Poutine is okay. But Children wings are spicy with cajun. Buffalo pizza is not great. I am giving 4 for drinks and 3.5 for foods.

Lazy Sunday lunch at Gabby's made us happy We ate the buffalo chicken wrap, Day's special Chicken Alfredo pasta and Garlic rolls with Parmesan. Really enjoyed the meal. My daughter ate the Mac and Cheese but she liked the pasta more. I guess the sauce was too delicious. The kids meal also comes with a beverage and Oreo pack. We enjoyed the ambience and the playlist. Our new happy and warm place in the Annex.

Great fish and chips (too bad no mushy peas available). But,
friendly staff. Our irish waitress was phenomenal nice ambiance lots of booths. You gotta eat here.

Great food, pub style & excellent portions. Staff are friendly & helpful. They work with charities, so I like the community care.
Good seating & great place to eat across from the Royal Ontario Museum. Eaten dinner here before a charity event.

Nous avons mangé un burger/frites et un sandwich accompagné de salade. Quand on commande une salade en accompagnement, c’est pour avoir un peu de fraîcheur et de croquant en bouche. La première qu’on m’a servi n’était pas fraîche du tout, avec plein de bouts de salade presque moisis. J’ai demandé à la serveuse une autre salade, elle m’en a servi une autre assez rapidement (sans me changer les couverts, que j’ai du essuyer à la serviette.). Mais celle-ci aussi n’était pas fraîche du tout, à croire que je n’allais pas faire attention la deuxième fois. Nous n’avons pas souhaité commander de dessert, car j’ai perdu confiance.

Sinon atmosphère sympa, musique pas trop forte, service correct, le reste était bon.

Terrible experience. The bar wasn’t busy and we only ordered nachos fries and drinks. We waited 20 minutes for a round of waters. The bus boy was apologetic but couldn’t help. When we approached the bar as to why it took so long the bar tender muttered an unintelligible response and we left. Don’t waste your time with this place. There are plenty of good bars in Toronto that serve good food and drinks in a reasonable amount of time and if they make and error don’t try to defend themselves with mutterings. It wasn’t a bad meal or a bad server. It was bad management. We we never go back. Blacklisted for myself and my friends.

Brilliant place to relax after a day at the museum. Great food, drinks and excellent and kind waiters!

Gabby's has a friendly atmosphere, tasty food and prices that remind me of 'the good old days. ' Servers are very kind and will go the extra mile for you. One server, a student of medecine, went so far as to offer free food to a friend whose blood sugar level suddenly dropped. The only drawback is that, due to extreme popularity, at peak times, you may have to wait up to 45 minutes to be served.

So disappointed. The waitress got us to a table. Then disappeared for 20minutes. Then came with water, but not enough for all of us and went to get some more. After 20 minutes of ignoring us she came to take the order, without the water she went for. After we ordered we asked for water too, she said, sure thing I will bring some. Another 10 minutes. 35 minutes later, she informs us that they run out of the beer we ordered. Ok, no worries, we order another type. Another 15minutes, they say again they run out of the 2nd choice. All this time, with no food. Then the food came. The burgers were REALLY well done, like Black at the bottom. SO well done. Note: No beers yet. Then the beers arrive (the third choice) 10 minutes before we left. We ask for the bill. They charged 6 beers instead of 3 (three of the 2nd choice that we never got somehow were charged)! I call the waitress and even before I mention the reason she says "oh, it's the 2nd choice of beer on the bill, let me check again". She knew and yet she brought the wrong bill, just in case we wouldn't check. Wow.
We left speechless and absolutely disappointed. Don't waste your money. It is convenient because it is right across the ROM but the experience there ruined our afternoon.

You are better off to go to McDonald's next door. The pizza is awful. The burgers are dry. The crisp chicken sandwich was way over fried and the fish tacos were flavourless. Also the service was very slow. Gordon Ramsey would definitely shut this place down. I will never return. Stay away!

The food was good and the service was good. Loved the atmosphere! Calamari was a bit fishy. Was a great place to eat after a day at the ROM.

The food was below average and the service was not great at all. Not flexible at all on exchanging small items on your food order and if you did, it was lots of $$ to change it. Would have been better off at McDonald's next door.

It was terrible the waitress did not know what she was doing. My crispy chicken sandwich was almost burnt and was very hard to eat. There is an extra charge for alot of things like changing your side from nachos to fries. It's just really bad would probably just go to the Mc Donald's next door.

I liked the place. Quesadilla was delicious, prices are fine, but for some reason, there weren't many people on a Saturday night.

Had the Amsterdam beer crusted fish and chips and it was so oily and heavy it didn't sit well. We came in a big group with prior resevation, but I don't think the wait staff was quite ready. Service was slow and not super organized. I don't think they're set up properly to handle large groups. Not terrible but not amazing either

Delicious food, and great options for beer. Just across the street from the Royal Ontario Museum, making it a perfect lunch spot after a visit there.

Service was slow, to non-existent on a Saturday night during my approximately hour and a half time there, my party of four had two drinks each with empty glasses sitting on the table for at least ten minutes before the second was offered, and waited another ten minutes before those drinks made it to the table. Food took a very long time to come, the fries were no longer warm, my burger was good though. At no point did it look like anyone was ever busy since the bartender continually disappeared from behind the bar. The tables surrounding us seemed to be receiving the same kind of inattentive service.

They got one star just because I needed to leave this review. My wife and I stepped out for a quick mid day lunch, heading over to one of our favourite spots when we decided to try something different. Gabbys. First off, the atmosphere was off, when the waiter came over we requested to sit by the window to enjoy the view where she mentioned the table was not available as it was dirty. We said we wait, she walked past us and sat us at the table and left the menus without a word. I went to the washroom for about 5 minutes, came back up, sat down and waited for another 10 minutes without any assistance. Within the 10 minutes, we overheard a different waitress attend to a Asian family and noticeably become flustered and very unprofessional when she could not communicate with them and had to do so through their young child. My wife and I were very unimpressed, took a look around and noticed no group within our perameter seemed happy nor pleased nor did they have food on their table. We also over heard two waitress speak rudely to each other. That is when my wife and I decided to leave to our usual spot as we did not want to ruin the remaining of our lunch hour.

Food was sub-par. Fries were over-cooked. Typical pub food, not many beer selections. Waitress was friendly, but hostess/bartender was rude and unwelcoming. Soap missing from washrooms.

Loved this location. My girlfriend and I had just come from the ROM and were looking for some place good to eat. We didn't feel like walking far seeing as we had done some much looking at the exhibits, so we simply crossed the street and stopped here. I ordered the wings and fries, while my girlfriend got the BBQ chicken pizza and both were very delicious. Our waitress was very patient with us (we were a little indecisive) but she was amazing and made our experience as great as it could have been. Would definitely come back here anytime.

Service was extremely unresponsive and unprofessional. We put in our orders for mains and then also asked for a dessert menu. We then ordered desserts before the mains came to the table, since the kitchen was closing. Surprisingly the desserts came before the mains. When the desserts came, we asked about the mains, which the server had clearly forgotten to order from the kitchen. When the server came back, he tried to blame the kitchen and then said that he had brought the dessert menu because the kitchen was already closed for the main menu (which was a lie, we had asked for the dessert menu). Desserts that came were not what we had ordered. The server then sad he could discount our desserts since we did not get our mains, but when the bills came, the desserts were not discounted. Unbelievable that service could be so bad.

This place is located very conveniently in the Avenue Road and Bloor here young Toronto. I came in here on a Sunday was relatively quiet on our server seem very friendly. There were a couple of issues from the get-go though. Their soft drink menu was very limited at the Coke Sprite and ginger ale has their Fountain wasn't working when we came. I don't drink pop myself but the company I was with did and they were not very happy about that.the food was really nothing special at all. As a matter of fact I was quite disappointed. I ordered a Cobb salad which was basically served on a bed of lettuce.kind of deceiving since cobb salad shouldn't really have lettuce in it as that's a very cheap ingredient.the only good thing about this place is a location, aside from that there are many other places I'd rather go than the same area.
