Not very happy. Twice now I’ve been in your store and purchased beyond meat grounds, or at least tried to purchase. The tag on the meat counter was $5.99. Upon purchasing my bill said 2/ $14.00 When taking the label to customer service, I was told the ticket had expired, not my problem, if it reads that I should get it for that price, how many other people went home thinking they paid a lower price today and the pervious visit. Not sure I want to shop at a store that doesn’t honour the price shown.

I was disappointed when I went into the store and found several areas that were not stocked and completely bare. Also to find the olive bar closed. The kid at the deli had no idea why or when it had closed and the other woman I spoke to didn’t know either. Please put clear signage to let customers know you close it a full hour before the store is closed. I am aware it’s tourist season therefore it’s busy but the regular folks would appreciate stocked shelves. I hope this is just the results of the new owner growing pains.

Was a little lost it’s a very big store with great products. Was a little upset that they didn’t have pizza for lunch but will definitely be going back

Good standard grocery store. The housewares and clothing section are surprisingly well supplied. When the garden centre is going, they have an excellent selection.

4 not 5 stars: the shelf pricing is tough to get through.many items are price per 2 with small print providing the price per unit which have seen be more expensive on a per unit item than the larger format not-highlighted price. Its deceptive and many times not in the customer's best interest. I suggest taking a look at dry cereals if you want to see what i mean. Nonetheless this is a great store with abundant selection and well run.

Clean well kept store with good produce. May be a little bit more than other grocery stores but you get what you pay for!

Great selection of products. The cheese selection is amazing. Pricey, but what isn't these days.
They sell my favourite Kombucha in big bottles which is great. It is like anywhere you have to know your prices because they do have good bargains.

Stopped in to grab a few things on the way up to a friends cottage. Very well organized and clean location. Staff were all very polite and helpful. Pretty much all you can ask for.

Great store friendly staff - NO BAGS. Please offer paper bags for those of us who buy more than a few items. Otherwise would be a 5 star.

It's my favorite place to shop for groceries in bracebridge. Produce hasn't been the best lately, but no one's has.

Great place to shop, lots of options and great quality food, but I do find it a bit expensive. All in all I would recommend shopping there.

Food is often expired in the meat section, and I suspect relabelled with an extended expiry date. Bought an organic beef roast with an expiry 5 days later, but the meat was green underneath.

Fine for canned and frozen items, stay away from their meat.

I'm not a big fan of how this place is laid out or even the quality of products or selection. I've come several times and they've not had simple things like chicken wings or french loaves. The lady who checked me out last time moved like molasses. She was literally the sloth from Zootopia. Your better off with food basics

Is good quality foods especially the meat department Is also a lot more selection than the other places in town Best place if you're looking for quality and selection

I have to say I am completely disappointed in this stores bakery. No such thing as fresh lof of Italian, french bread or baked goods. I have tried a 3 to go and grab a fresh loaf of Italian/French loafs along with the store made donuts. All The dates are at least 2-3 days old. Not made fresh that day. I have asked the staff in the bakery and there response is always the same.what we out there is what we have. I now take my business elsewhere. I live in Bracebridge but would rather travel to Gravenhurst to the Sobeys. Lots of fresh baked good.

Well organized, friendly staff, always fresh produce and bakery items. We also just live across the street so its convenient.
My personal opinion is that they should stay open until 10pm but I understand why they don't. Overall, I like independent a lot

I really like this location. The staff are always very friendly and very helpful. I would absolutely give them a five-star and I will return often.

Please stop forcing your customers to walk past salesmen at the exit trying to accost them and sign up for your banking services.

The blonde lady who was working on checkout #1 today needs an attitude adjustment. Completely rude and disrespectful. She was rude not to just us but the person ahead and behind us. 1 of the many rude comments was when my mother asked how many points was on her card and the woman proceeded to say I don’t know and stared her down. She was ignorant.

Customer service is garbage and prices are high. I wanted to get a block of cheese but an employee was stocking the fridge so I very polightly asked him if I could sneak past him to grab a block of cheese and he said no. That was a bad experience but the worst part is that I wanted to make a complaint to the store manager and she treated me like I was lying.bad experience and high prices. Go across the street to food basics or even walmart

The independent grocery store is welcoming to everyone. I enjoy visiting there because they have a great selection of plant based items. IT is a pleasure to find the items I like to try.

Really sorry to see the loss of the fresh butcher and sea food counters. A major step down in quality.

30% Overpriced for the exact same items available at other stores close by. Waisted time waiting for the cashier, as an item did not scan and the customer ahead of us held up the line. This store is not "independent" like it says and does not participate in the Scanner Price Accuracy Voluntary Code like their competitors. So not only do they gouge you with higher prices, they also rob you of your TIME when their systems don't properly scan a barcode.

Really solid grocery store with helpful staff. Only drawback I can think of; pretty busy during holiday seasons and checking out can be a little hectic. I suggest getting in and out early.

Clean and organized place. Easy to find clear aisles. Small area for clothing (Joe fresh). Depending on time of day. Civic restrictions may have short lineups to get into the store

Moat of the year its high prices and just basic items. In the summer they bring in specialty items and the shelves are well stocked.

So clean.huge store. So much variety of produce, meat, fish and other items. Joe Fresh clothing has so much variety and in all sizes including plus sizes. Nice selection

Great spot to load up for the cottage. Very friendly staff! I wouldn't suggest looking for a big buy on a Sat as they usually have ran out of a few items in the fruit and veggie dept. Best days to load up are Tues and Wed

Great for a quick lunch for us locals. There butcher is top notch he knows his cuts and will aim to please. Very well layed out store.

Its the only game in town for basic groceries prices are higher then in Bracebridge however nicer products

Has great fish selection ok meat selection good bread selection very good cold cut selection. Check out was a little slow. Well stocked otherwise

Expensive but good selection on organic wholefoods and marrow bones for the dog. Deli is always so helpful and kind atmosphere.

Rating is based on covid visit.to me it didn't seem like any protocols were in place. Very very busy and hard to physically distance.

Must say people make the place for me and seeing the same faces that call me by name worms my hart. Ps try the pre maid salads they are very good.

Been going here for a few years now and wasn't ever a huge fan but during these times independent has been great with following protocol and trying their hardest to keep everything stocked up. They also always have such great deals.

Usually I like this place.but tonight I was blown away when my mother-in-law went to pay with cash a 100 bill and was refused told they do not accept 100 filler bills.no signs NOTHING stating that. I'm glad I was their to pay for it or she would have not been able to get anything. Disappointed. McDonald's accepts them but the grocery store doesn't? I'm sorry. But sounded like a "I don't want to touch cash" excuse to me.

Really good selection of food, brands and items. The produce is always fresh and I find the butchers area is always fresh.

There has been more variety of items and better sales as the pandemic has continued on. Their shelves are well stocked and organized.

Their covid protocols have been very good, well labeled directional arrows, signage, sanitization and process for check out. The staff have been very friendly and helpful during my bi-weekly shopping trips.

This store is in violation of the Ontarians with Disabilities Act by refusing to allow entry to customers who are unable to wear masks.

Please start sourcing your sushi from Wabora again! I noticed that you have things like fire chicken and dumplings that come from them, but their sushi is way better than the stuff you switched to. I don't know if it's a corporate policy that's preventing you from switching back, but if it is up to you then please start getting your sushi from Wabora like you used to.

Getting sick and tired of returning things for the correct price.you mark them down on the shelves and dont enter into the system. Soooooo inconvenient to watch for all those mistakes with a very full shopping cart. The vitamin E I found on sale for $3.50 came up at $19.99 the dishclothes marked down to 5.49 still came up at 8.49.have to return that today. Seriously making this difficult. We live in Bracebridge but prefer to shop at the Huntsville store. Never had to return stuff there for pricing mistakes.it's almost every time in Bracebridge if you dont watch. Can you get the right prices please, it's not a nice experience at all.

This is "The expensive grocery store" in Bracebridge. Probably not the first place I'd go for basics. However, the selection is good and the produce and meats are excellent.

Not too impressed with the staff during this Covid time. It's not up to the customers whether they want the belt to be wiped down or not after every transaction. This should be done regardless and without asking.
Variety of this store was okay.

Went to pick up 3 items. There was a short lady with glasses inside the door telling people who could go in and who couldn’t, and no there was no line.
While inside I was followed through the store by a little balding man in a black jacket asking me if I was shopping alone. I was the only shopper in that aisle, clearly I was shopping alone.
On my way out he was standing at the door and told me that I couldn’t come back to his store.
Don’t worry I’ll be going to Walmart from now on where I’m not harassed while I quickly grab 3 items. What is wrong with people.

This is a big store! We just happened to shop on a day where almost all the shelves were empty due to frantic shoppers stocking up in case of store closures. I've been in this store several times in the past and my recent experience will not reflect in my opinion of this store, that's why I still give it 5*'s. The store is usually well stocked and clean with fresh bakery, dairy, deli, meat and fish. They have awesome pre-made hot meals ready to go.

Always lots of employees to ask for help. I am constantly needing help finding stuff. Seem like they could always have more checkout lanes open. Though I was directed to a line that was shorter than mine by a manager. Meat is the best in Bracebridge.

This is one of the best stocked grocery stores I have been in. I also find the prices more reasonable than alot of the grocery stores I frequent.

Got milk home and one bag had leaked all over the car. The week before bought yogurt and realized once it was home that it had been expired
