Galaxy Cinemas Brockville

The concession stand closed at 8pm for a 730pm movie. I finished my beer just after the movie started and couldn't get anything else to eat or drink. Staff was nice and good experience otherwise but keep the stand open until the movie is over.

The only theater I take my kids to. It's never super busy and they always have an amazing staff to help you out!

We pretty much had the theater to ourselves. Less than a dozen people to a brand new movie. I know why people still have not gone back to the movies post covid. It is very expensive for a family and you can enjoy in your home these days

I Like going there because it’s just fun to watch a movie at a theatre of course but like- they don’t seem to be trying… they need more stuff in the lobby of the theatre and also (STOP OVER PRICING; snacks, drinks & popcorn) and also the theatre always seems to be kinda dirty.

This was our first film post-covid and noticed some changes.

First, I went to buy tickets through the app and they are charging a service fee to do so. No thanks. Completely unnecessary price gouging.

So you buy your tickets directly at the concession stand now. You also pick your seats on the screen as well, which I liked.

Concessions did not have any nachos for a 4pm show.

Easy wheelchair seating available. Unfortunately the access doors to the theatre do not have wheelchair access.

Theatres are dying, this is clearly an example. Even when blockbuster movies are releasing it is completely dead. On the bright side though that also means when you go to watch a movie you pretty much have the place to yourself.

Great staff but theatre had a blown speaker making a horrible noise, and movie screen was very dark even in bright scenes

Terrible customer support with awful covid regulation rules. They need to improve their online website and make it clear that kids need identification when checking in.

Good, clean establishment. Very helpful and friendly staff. Makes you feel welcomed when the staff remember you and what movies you have been to lately.

I have to admit I was very frustrated trying to call the theater to ask if they found something that I had fall out while watching the show. I did return to the theater to ask about it and they had already brought it to the office. To me this shows that this group does the jobs they are tasked with as they must have gone aisle by aisle after our show to clean. The Saturday November 6 shift needs to be commented, job well done and thank you

Worker and manager wouldn’t let someone who is turning 18 in two months go see Halloween kills with his girlfriend without an adult then leaving a 14 year old to go see a movie by herself. Even though the adult was giving them permission, the adult didn’t want to leave the 14 year old. Oh well, saved $100

Lots of parking. Hard to believe that almost no one else was there. It's good to be able to go to the films again.

Nice to be back. The entire theatre was clean everyone was polite and the staff welcoming. They asked everyone to take seats that were separated but once inside guests moved in the dark. Kinda hard to police that. But otherwise so great to feel normal again. Thanks

Friendly and professional staff and service. The theatre was clean and the seats were comfortable. The screen, movie and sound quality was excellent.

Myself and 4 friends went to the theater last weekend. $58 in tickets, $70 for 3 popcorn combos ($70!). I brought my own coffee and was told I'll have to drink in in the lobby as they have a no outside drinks policy. But they don't offer hot drinks for purchase as an alternative. I said fine. As we were milling around and looking at the posters of upcoming movies, one of the staff literally YELLED from the concession stand across the whole lobby for everyone to hear, that I've gone too far into the theatre and am not allowed to go any further with my coffee. Honestly, in a time when movie theatres are not doing very well and we spend over $120, to be yelled at like I'm a child for a coffee is ridiculous. Neither myself nor my friends will ever come back. We'll spend our money some place else.

The theater is clean. The staff are polite and helpful. We saw staff members going around the theater sanitizing the hand rails and doors in between the movies.

Nice to be back in a theatre. Staff were great. Theatre was clean and comfortable. 3D movie had great sound and visuals.

Took my 6 yr old to see new space jam. She was excited. Paid at concession and went into 30 degree room both air. I was told they could refund my money if I wanted to leave. How do I tell that to a 6 yr old who is already sitting eating popcorn. They should advise you before you pay. Not one fan on. Very uncomfortable to sit through. Staff was busy playing basketball game when we left to even apologize or anything

So my earlier review was 4 stars. I've been here quite a bit over the last couple months.
Today, Dec 19, I went in to see a Christmas movie, hot chocolate in hand, like I have with every other Xmas movie here.and was told no outside drinks.
Well, I could see if they sold cocoa, fine. But they don't.
So, instead of getting my usual popcorn, candy etc with the girlfriend, I got nothing, and seriously consider sever going back

I took the grandkids to an animated film. Social distancing rules were in effect and we felt very safe inside the cinema. The seats are comfortable but well worn. It's not a newer theater like the upgraded ones with fancy electric reclining seats that you find in Ottawa however price is not as expensive either.

Service is great! Clean and really doing a great job with the new set of rules by keeping everyone safe while enjoying an evening out.

It felt weird trying to goto a movie during COVID-19, but Brockville certainly knew how to do it I am glad that they added traffic cones to separate people from sitting in certain chairs.

Good clean theater, nice people. Recliner seating would be a definite plus in the future though.

Clean, high tech, staff friendly. Only exception is the high price of popcorn & drinks, but I know that's the same in all theatres now. If u wait for a week or two after a movie comes out it is not as crowded for the seating.

Always a good time. Staff is courteous. The movie quality is outstanding. I highly recommend this establishment for all your movie needs

I prefer Landmark Cinemas but this seems to he the only option in Brockville. Landmark has better seating and free refills still. Galaxy has reduced the sizes and has taken away refills on drinks and popcorn. The staff was friendly and the theatre was clean.

Prices are ridiculous you end up spending about 40-50 bucks if you want to see a movie and get a popcorn and drink its somewhat clean most times and the sound system is ok would recommend bringing loads of gum in your pocket

First time at this theater, very clean. The sound is too loud had to watch show with fingers in my ears, took out my mother's hearing aids. Might want to crank it down a bit.

We live right in between Kingston and Brockville, so we go to either city to catch our movies. For a Cineplex facility it really needs to catch up to Kingston's theatres. Brockville location does not offer reclining seats, no option to select seats when purchasing tickets at the theatre, and worst of all no freestyle drink machines, you are forced to select from 4 basic soft drink choices a cashier gills for you. This may seem not picked, but when I can drive the same amount of time to get a movie in Kingston that does offer the extras, we often do.

Self serve kiosks, friendly staff and clean theater's. It may be small but it makes up for that in presentation!

Not a big selection, chairs are mediocre at best.that's including the premium seats. Snacks are crazy EXPENSIVE.

Nice theater. I am surprised to see beer cans be put in the regular garbage with no recycling bins an option at the end of a movie.

I went here and it was pretty great! We watched Spiderman Far From Home and it was great! The only nitpick I have was the seats weren't the best ever.

Fabulous and friendly staff. I have never been greeted by so many staff or had so many take time to say goodnight. Fabulous crew!

Its a smaller cinema compared to other cinemas owned by Cineplex. Its clean, & the staff are courteous. The majority of the time they have the latest movies showing. Sadly tho I had to drive to Kingston in order to see Childs Play.

I payed $30 dollars for $3 worth of pop corn and pop. Then they charged me extra to pump the same butter on that pop corn that was over by the straws. If you have no choice and want to see a film out of your house, it'll do. Driving to Ottawa seems like your best choice.

Been here several times over the last two years. Staff have always been pleasant and helpful. Very clean.

It's a good place to go to spend time with your family and friends. It has great service. Good food. Has a party room. But it does have one problem, they say the movie starts at like 4: 00 pm yet the start like and 4: 15- 4: 30 for example. Other than that they are fun to go to.

Sucks with their "Prime seating". Brockville is small time and doesn't need the added expense for a mediocre theater

The "prime " seats were horrible! I left with a backache. I can't believe they charge extra for them. $70 for popcorn and drinks for 3 people was ridiculous! We definitely won't be back.

Food is expensive, movies are only in 3D which is uncomfortable to sit through especially for over an hour. Yogurt stand is wonderfully good

It's a small movie theater but it's nice and clean. Don't pay extra for premium seats, they're not worth it.
