My visit to the GameStop Yorkdale location left me with mixed feelings. I came in hoping to purchase a PS5, but was surprised to find a used one (box) on the shelf. When I asked the clerk about it, I was informed that the only available PS5 was part of a $730 bundle. This raised concerns about stock accuracy and the pricing strategy, which felt misleading. It's important for customers to have clear and accurate information when making purchases.

Today at around 1300, I came to this GameStop looking for any game with a steel book case. Melissa W helped me find a steel book in record time and the best part is I got two hugs from this encounter

The guy there didn't want to sell me new product. Claimed that it was for pre-order. Didn't see that anywhere. I feel like he was judging me

These 5 stars are for your associate Jacky. He was extremely helpful, patient with me and knowledgeable. When I called the store to confirm my online order he wasn't rude or impatient. He was calm and understanding that I just wanted my product that I just paid $500 for. When I went to the store to pick up my order he walked me through the pros and cons of owning a digital ps5 console. He simply weighed the risks of having the unit with and without the warranty. He explained since I was buying used I could save an additional 10% off a PS5? ! Amazing! This prompted me to go for the platinum membership. I also took the warranty. I left very pleased and more informed than when I arrived. Excellent customer service. Thanks so much!

Went for the release of a game.
Ask the guy at the counter “its for tomorrow, right? ”
He answers me like he’s the pro “nah its the 28th” i’m like “you sure? I think it’s tomorrow” he’s like “yeah i’m sure” the tone of his voice.bru its ok if you don’t know EVERYTHING.seat down and be humble.

Went to get a game 1 week after its release. Staff told me it's not out yet. I said it came out last week. He give me a bit of attitude and told me he didn't think so. I asked if he could look up the release date as I'm sure it came out last week. He did and it did release the week previously as I stated. He gave me a copy of the game bagged and I only realized later on it was severely damaged. Like someone must have stepped on it because it was sealed but the game case was cracked and damaged. Luckily, I realized before we left the mall so I exchanged it. Part of me thinks he gave me the damaged copy on purpose given his attitude? No clue why he even argued about it, could have simply looked it up if he was unsure.

Great niche store on the near entrance from Yorkdale Station to get your quick gaming needs. Used games, first order merchandise for games, and consoles, it's great convenience. To top it off, staff is friendly with orders and are patient with sorting out customer problems. Would place this as one of the go-to places for anything gaming culture related.

Disorganized. Inventory often does not match what the website shows as in stock at this location.

Friendly staff, however.

I will never return to this location though.

I get the best customer service experience everytime I go in! The team is helpful and are very good with following up with me about anything I have pre-ordered or answering questions in general. The people who work here are genuine, respectful and honest with me always and it's the gamestop I prefer to shop at anywhere in the city. Much respect to the team! All of you have been wonderful.

Associates Adam Brittany & Joe are the reason why I am a frequent customer, as they make feel family everytime I come in.
They are the best!
