I would highly recommend using Gardenzilla for any lawn care needs. They did a great job on the fall clean-up which was a big job! They were very responsive with scheduling the job and the office was extremely professional.

After 2.5 year reno that faced all the troubles one can expect, Gardenzilla was a breath of fresh air with their professionalism and great suggestions. They helped restore our front lawn to well beyond its former glory, taking out the bad soil, layering in the good stuff, and taking great care in putting down new sod and 7 Korean lilac bushes at the front of our home. They attended our home in person to give a quote and suggestions - it was great to have an open dialogue about the plans. They put their money where their mouth is, with warranty for their work this fall. We can't wait for the hedges to bloom next spring, and for them to come and fix up our back yard too! It was a pleasure working with Gardenzilla and we would recommend any family looking to redo/spruce up/maintain their outdoor spaces.

Mike and the team at Gardenzilla have been great to work with and professional, on a range of tasks large and small. We needed to get our place ready to sell and they were there immediately for an amazing rush job - just one example of the great service we've seen.

Recently started working with Gardenzilla to revive my lawn from chinch damage and to get rid of these annoying bugs. Been very impressed by their professionalism - Mike took the time to swing by for an assessment and to recommend as well as discuss the appropriate course of action. Very knowledgeable and honest, and I never felt I was being upsold. Everyone in the company I've spoken to has been professional and polite. Emails and phone calls were all promptly responded to. I am very happy for my lawn that it's being taken care of by the great team at Gardenzilla.

I have had Gardenzilla do both my lawn maintenance and snow removal for years now. Their team is great and always do and excellent job. Their admin staff is very responsive as well. A week ago I had Victor and Ian from the team come for a special request to cut back some out of hand bushes and some unruly vines coming in from my neighbour’s garden. They did a wonderful job of cutting everything back and tackling the vines and other growth I wanted gone. It looks great now.
They tied all the branches up in nice manageable bundles and bagged the rest which was picked up by the garbage a few days later. Thanks guys!

Great experience overall. From the initial call online w/ Simon, to the great three-man crew who did the work, Gardenzilla hit all the high notes and checked all the boxes. The're very busy so there was a 6 week delay between sigining the initial contract to when they actually performed the work. That aside, I would definitely recommend them for your next project. I know I will be calling them for my own next projects.

The Gardenzilla team was lovely and worked quickly and efficiently to make our front garden look 100x better and also gave me tips to keep it from falling into disarray. Highly recommend!

I've hired Gardenzilla on 2 occasions to help with my front yard, first to install an entirely native flowering garden with interlocking, and second to do seasonal maintenance of said garden. Both times they were thorough and professional, and I am making arrangements to hire them again. It's a small company and sometimes communication can be delayed, but I attribute that to their popularity.

Removed my original review - received an invoice for $557 when was originally quoted $316. Manager reached out and honoured the original quote and shared steps they would take to fix the issue. Appreciate the prompt customer service.

Aside from the pricing issue, the work was well done.

Gardenzilla is a life saver. I hate gardening. I am terrible at it. I kill everything. My plants and trees have never been more relieved than they were yesterday, when the Gardenzilla team showed up.

The team did a spring clean-up for me and my garden has NEVER looked so good. I'm just thrilled. Thank you so much - I'm looking forward to being outside and enjoying the space.

(And my plants are happy that I'm going to stay away from them.)

UPDATE: June 2022 - I was SO happy with their garden clean-up services that I had them come this spring to do a landscaping job on my small courtyard space. They showed up ahead of schedule, were so quick, and efficient, and sent REALLY nice people to work on the job. They do a great job with prep and clean-up and their pricing was very reasonable for the work done. I HIGHLY recommend them.

UPDATE: May 2023 - when I went outside yesterday morning, the Gardenzilla Fairies had been there, did an amazing clean up, tidied everything, and left my courtyard looking great! I continue to be really happy with their work and look forward to their fall visit.

These guys came shortly after I called, and were responsive to my needs. They pruned and did a great clean up job in my yard.

We used Gardenzilla snow removal service for the first time this winter and were extremely pleased. Snow was always cleared thoroughly and as soon as each snowfall stopped. I didn't have to shovel once.

After many years of trying different snow removal services unsuccessfully, we are shocked that we found a service that was prompt and professional, from the first inspection of our home, to their billing policy, and to the response when the front walk was inadvertently missed, Gardenzilla performed a solid service at a sound price. Granted there was little snow this year, so on a “per shovel” basis, the price might a surprise to some. However, it also works the other way and I am sure that if we had snow every week, there would not be any letdown in their service. Indeed last night, in one of our few snowstorms, Gardenzilla arrived as expected late at night so my driveway was clear when I woke up. We will retain Gardenzilla next year.

Edit: Gardenzilla has several electrical blowers in service and they more quietly clean small lots!
EDIT a month later:
same gas powered noisemaker. Same property. Promise to use a broom on this tiny property was renewed, and owner explained that electrical blowers are on the way.

to reflect his undertaking to not use gasoline powered blowers on the 15 foot lot across from me:

Twice these guys showing up before 8, blasting for 10 minutes with gasoline-powered blowers, pushing the few found leaves under their truck and driving off.

And, after the second time company was called, asking them to use a broom or rake instead, especially on microscopic properties

(porch is only like 75 square feet.the walkway less than 3 feet wide) company owner called back, and will ask the workers to use a broom.

Impressed with the leadership and responsibility; the owner says that they will voluntarily break out the brooms on small properties, until their apparently quieter electric blowers are on hand.

Thanks for taking city noise and property sizes seriously, Gardenzilla; Toronto is poised to outlaw gas blowers soon, and appreciate your front-running the compliance and care.

Gardenzilla installed an artificial turf in our backyard. They were easy to communicate with and provided a thorough and realistic estimate prior to starting the job. The team was very professional, did an excellent job and cleaned up all debris. Would definitely recommend.

I tried Gardenzilla for the first time to do spring clean-up. They were terrific and the money was well spent. They raked all debris (and there was lots!) from our front and back lawns and our many garden beds. They cut back plants which I should have cut back in the fall. And, they edged our beds and our lawns. They bagged the garden garbage and cleaned-up well. Now we just need some sun! Will call Gardenzilla again for the fall clean-up.

This is the second year in a row that I have used Gardenzilla to do my Spring clean up. They are consummate professionals, they show up on time, they communicate recommendations, they are efficient and very effective on getting the job done.

We have used Gardenzilla for lawn care for 5 years. They provide excellent, reliable service. We intend to continue using them on an ongoing basis.

We had hired 2 other landscaping companies for different work and we were super unimpressed with the quality of the work they did for us. When Gardenzilla came to do a spring yard clean-up, it was night and day! They worked really hard, got everything done in a few hours, and our property looks the best it ever has - they went above and beyond in terms of making sure every corner was properly cleaned up, an old tree root was taken out, and all of our yard waste bags were put under the covered porch (as requested) because of rain the forecast. Thank you, Tobias and your colleague (sorry we didn't get her name - maybe Lisa?)! We will definitely be hiring your company again. The only thing that we would have changed is to have been given a heads-up re: when they were coming (even just the day before since these things are hard to schedule in advance) without having to pay $40 to get the 24-hour notice. Still, an overall amazingly positive experience - would highly recommend Gardenzillla for yard work!

Jim did our Spring Cleanup this year and did an excellent job! We've been having Gardenzilla do our cleanups twice a year for several years and they always do a great job.

More than really good at what they do, this company went out of its way on two occasions in recent months to help me out — with extra snow clearing when Toronto had its ‘snowmageddon’, and doing an early (and cold!) garden clean-up. Use them for any service and it will be done professionally, courteously, and at a competitive price.
