This project was our third project with GLS and again, we couldn’t be happier with their professionalism and meticulous attention to detail. Our project included removal of the existing steps/pavers/landings from our front driveway to the secondary steps/landings (which remain in place) that lead up to our front door; complete re-excavation of the area; installation of a solid concrete base; and installation of new pavers and risers. After initial consultations and scheduling with Chris about the work to be done, GLS’ professional crew (Jon, Rene and Darrin) not only started the project on time, but also completed the job earlier than expected. You could easily tell the team worked well together, they took great pride in their work, and were very friendly and courteous. In addition, team members were quite open and adaptive to accommodating modifications as the project unfolded. There was minimal disruption for us and our neighbours, and the crew cleaned up at the end of each day. We are very happy with the end product, including the quality and selection of stone materials to complement the existing stonework leading up to the front door. Visitors have been highly complementary and impressed with the overall appearance of our new front entranceway. (And a shout out to both Milena and Phil for their management, back office and communication support for the on-site team.) We highly recommend Gelderman Landscape Services for the quality and value of their services.

I'm updating a review and rewriting it for Gelderman for the second time for services delivered. In 2022, I wrote a 5* review for this company as it was our first business interaction with them. At that time, the team of James, Jared, Elpidio and Mark showcased the full professionalism and services that warrant a perfect rating.

This year, in 2023, we were pleased to not only bring Gelderman back, but see a familiar face in James, that had now become a team lead (congratulations)! The continuation of team members gave comfort as they knew exactly what we were looking for from our business side. Needless to say, the team of James, Clark, Kurt and Keith continued to carry the Gelderman banner strong, as they wasted no time getting to work and performing their roles with detail and diligence. They once again, worked around our business needs and showcased that our business needs are also reflected in their efforts and care!

We look forward to expanding our services with Gelderman as their operations and on site staff make it easy to book and deliver results!

Gelderman Landscape Services are our Landscape providers and Winter and Summer maintenance providers. We are a 93 unit townhouse complex in south Burlington and we are currently over hauling all of our landscaping, to deliver a sustainable, drought tolerant and pollinater environment.

This season, Gelderman did additional landscaping at our complex including planting of additional plants, trees and installing new pathways, steps and creating soil retention barriers with anchor stone.

All of the work was done quickly, professionally and in a tidy manner. The crew lead by John B.was Darren, Scott, Kent and Dan. You could not ask for a better team, or company.

The project started as soon as our permit was issued and the crew worked diligently to complete the project in a timely manner. Esther and her team of Catherine, Chris, Griffin, Shawn and Joe did an amazing job of doing a winter cleanup of our townhouse complex. The team did a very professional job of leaf clean up in the complex. Esther ensured that all the yards were clear of leaves. The leaf pick up at the curb was immediate to ensure that the leaves would not make their way back into the yards of the complex. The team went the extra mile today.

Harry Gelderman is a man of his word. He and his company have proven that they truly do stand behind the quality of their work forever.
Over the past years, we have hired Gelderman Landscape Services to lay various bordered stone pathways across the front and down the side of our house, down the sides of our driveway and recently we asked this company to lay sloped but flush pathways around and between our 4 huge garden bins in the backyard. I can now do my gardening in those huge bins while standing up and walking around each bin on that sloped stone pathway, without my feet getting wet since the slope allows run-off of rain/water onto the lawn. This has been great! Very impressive. It is so wonderful to no longer be walking on wet swampy ground while I do my gardening. It is also great that the sloped pathways are flush and hence there are no trip hazards! Fabulous job!
Recently, I noticed that, on the original pathways around this house that were done quite a while ago, some of the grout between the stones on the pathways around the house was coming up and had become unattached. Therefore, as the chunks of grout got dislodged and detached itself from its intended location between the stones, the trip hazards created by the holes left between the pathways stones was becoming a concern. I emailed Harry Gelderman and asked him if he could send someone to remove the moss that had grown in some of the gravel-cement between the stones and I asked him if his guys could fill (re-grout) in the places where grout had lifted and become unattached in clumps. Promptly, Harry did send his workers to fix, clean out, refill and repair the sections between the stones that had become a concern.
Harry confirmed for me that his company does still stand behind their work forever as he had said they would, and he confirmed that he still would honour his word and that there would NOT be a charge for this repair work. Great! Wow. Harry's stellar company really does stand behind their work! That was very impressive and appreciated!
Tristan and Louis, his workers, came to do the repair work. Everything that needed attention was done well and those workers were great in answering and addressing any questions and/or concerns that I had along the way. Tristan and Louis were amazing! Talk about "Service-Oriented'. Wow! They were very professional, willing to address my questions and requests, and diligent in making sure that all was done extremely well. I think their standards were even higher than mine, and that was exemplary and appreciated! I no longer have trip hazards nor any missing grout between any of the stones on all of our pathways and stairs. Thank you, Harry, for keeping your word and rectifying this strange occurrence of the grout lifting over time, which was strange for sure, and hence thanks again for not charging me for this repair work. Also, thank you for hiring and sending such professional, skilled, detail-oriented workers to do this job. Our place is much nicer (and safer) again. You are a man of your word, and I appreciate it. Thanks! Yet again, your company has done a superb job! Outstanding job! I am not surprised since every job your company has done here has been superb, but I am VERY appreciative of the skill, expertise and care that has been evident in the process and product of the work that your workers have demonstrated. I recently spent some time with of the team at Gelderman LS, their love and passion for the company and their jobs was incredible. You could tell that this company values and nurtures each and every one of their team and have built a great company culture which is evident throughout the organization.

It's been a little over 5yrs since the team at Gelderman concluded construction on our dream backyard. We still love it every bit as much as the day it was completed. Jason Felker was an amazing Site Supervisor and kept the project running smoothly and efficiently throughout. Furthermore, when the project was completed, Chris Mace and Gelderman stood by their warranty on any items that needed attention.

Incredibly happy, very professional and easy to work with.

Zero complaints, honestly. Not only does the end result look awesome, but the entire process was great from the sales experience through to the work being completed.

During the job we had several neighbours comment on how nice the guys were, moving equipment when they needed to, saying hi, etc. Afterwards also a lot of “wow, they did an amazing job! ”.

For sales we had Chris, for project manager Phil and then the guys doing all the tough stuff: Darren, John, Tristan, Brad and Ben. All super nice dudes!

It’s obviously a big investment (especially because we needed a new driveway too) so a little nervous at first but we could not be happier. Would definitely recommend to anyone who asks.

A special thank you to Chris Mace, Phil Watson, Greg Carpenter and Tristan Baxter. I’m very happy with the outcome of the landscaping. Greg was a star on this project; as the foreman, he was responsible for all the stonework. I found him to very professional, honest, incredibly hard working, intuitive, and if that’s not enough, he has a real sense for design.

Our KW high-rise uses this firm.we have asked our management to request a few things.
-Winter salt is not pet friendly, can it be changed
-landscapers use gas high powered trimmers around parked vehicles, that kick up small gravel that hits our front/back bumpers and sometimes causing damage, and wet newly trimmed grass sticks all-over the vehicles
-landscaper just spent 3 hours today starting/stopping high powered gas leaf blower to clean along curbside and the entire entrance after mowing.
My husband works nights and this was extremely loud for an extended amount of time.
For the safety of our vehicles, to reduce noise and reduce carbon footprint.
Can you please consider using hand trimmers around vehicles, and a rake for most of the landscaping cleanup?
Our building super said they cannot make this request to Gelderman, so we are making these requests directly. And please save our pets' paws in winter by using pet friendly salt in the front and side entrances.

Thank you Nathan for reaching out and giving us your # but we're afraid if we make contact and they find out it's us we already are walking on glass here with less than stellar management at all levels, things may get worse for us.

These three professionals did an amazing job at one of our properties! They were given short notice and in a pinch in this hot, humid weather and throughout a heavy down pour of rain came out and completed a job that was much bigger than probably anticipated. The property looks great and the time frame it was completed in was excellent.
We would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for professional services and quality work. A company we can depend on!
