Generation Fertility Vaughan

I was referred to Generation Fertility at Vaughan Clinic with Dr Gurau when I thought won’t ever be able to get pregnant.but Dr Gurau such a knowledgeable professional, empathetic, compassionate, honest with his answers made easy to gain trust in myself again and science and couldn’t be more happy. I am pregnant right now with Dr Gurau help and guidance. I am endless thankful to Dr Gurau and his Team. The nurses are very efficient responding emails with not waiting time, I am thankful specially to Mandy, Dr Lai did my embryo transfer. She is really kind and compassionate. The ultrasound team very friendly and sensitive, front desk stuff are always welcoming every time I visit the clinic. I really recommend Generation Fertility at Vaughan location and Dr Gurau. Thank You

I would 100% not recommend them. Every negative review here is exactly what I have experienced. Testing results not given, rude and condescending nurses. Don’t even bother trying to call them and request something, and don’t expect polite attitudes through email. Rediculously frustrating experience.

Great clinic. Dr. Abraham and all of the staff were wonderful during my egg freezing process. Very knowledgeable nurses which made it a calm experience.

Overall I’m happy with the care. Doctor Lai and the nurses, plus front staff are kind and all my experiences from them have been excellent. Ultrasound techs are efficient. My honest review of docking down a star is I find the phlebotomists to be very slow most of the time. Lots of ladies sitting in the waiting area and we can hear two of the lab techs chit chatting for over 5 minutes, then they completely disappear for 10 minutes. Wish this could move along faster given most of us wake up extra early before work to do these tests multiple times a week.

I was referred by my doctor to Gen. Fertility when the clinic I was seeing in Barrie wasn't doing anything for me. At Gen. Fertility they have been amazing. Communication is great, they explain everything and are quick to set up appointments. Very friendly and laid back, very supportive. Couldn't be happier with the care I'm receiving with Gen. Fertility.

My husband and I were in the process of scheduling our 1st visit when they cancelled our appointment date with no warning, siting rules that we were never communicated to us. Both of us booked time off for this appt and were excited to start the process, however, this not only set us back but put a damper on our experience with this clinic. We tried to speak to them but were met with a cold we can’t help you attitude! Why would we want to go there when they clearly don’t care about their patients! Avoid at all costs. Ps. After doing some research we found out that doc G is terrible with his patients. Good riddance!

-Underwent IUI and IVF treatment from 2018 to 2019
-Currently have 3 embryos in storage
-Have moved away from the GTA and trying to move to a new clinic.

First the good stuff: in 2019 I gave birth to a baby girl after IVF treatment with Generation Fertility (then called Procrea) and for that my husband and I will be eternally grateful.
Although our consulting doctor was somewhat aloof, we found the rest of the technical team warm, compassionate and friendly throughout our treatment journey.

HOWEVER, for the past year we have been trying to organize the transfer of our remaining embryos to a new clinic. Our receiving clinic has sent the required documentation to Generation Fertility and after some initial back and forth they have now shutdown all communication and have refused to engage with the transfer process.
We do not understand what has motivated Generation Fertility to halt their communication but the lack of transparency and compassion shown by the administration and legal staff has been a source of great distress and concern for us.

Anyone that has previously gone through or is currently going through fertility treatment will understand why time is so critical and how much pain can result from unnecessary delays.
We cannot fathom why Generation Fertility, in their position as fertility specialists don’t seem to understand this.

I would suggest that a very accomplished technical team is being let down by a seemingly disengaged Admin and Legal department, which should be a source of great concern for any person undergoing treatment with this company.

We switched to Generation Fertility after having a negative experience at another clinic. We are beyond happy we switched to Generation Fertility. It’s easy to see that this clinic knows what they are doing - appointments are always on time, the staff are friendly, the nurses are simply amazing and Dr. Hartman is just an awesome human being! You can just tell he loves what he does! Communication is above and beyond (which was severely lacking at the other clinic we went to) and we really appreciate that, especially since we live out of town (7 hours out of town) We highly recommend Generation Fertility!

Dr. Gurau is a breath of fresh air! I had a consult with him as I wanted a second opinion on treatment and protocol that I was receiving at another clinic. He is compassionate and kind and really does care. He validates your feelings and takes the time to understand your unique circumstances. This process is never easy and I’ve been seeing fertility doctors for 5+ years now and Dr. Gurau has some of the most extraordinary bedside manner in the business. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone who is seeking help. Thank you for everything you do!

We were initially referred to Dr. Hartman in 2020 and followed him to Generation in early 2022. After 3 rounds of IVF, although our journey did not end with an IVF miracle, I still highly recommend this clinic, and specifically Dr. Hartman. He is incredibly kind, compassionate, encouraging and supportive and his staff made my experience as good as it could be (while going through IVF). The staff were timely, friendly, supportive and understanding. The procedures I had went smooth and I received exceptional care, especially the follow ups during and after my miscarriage. I can’t say enough good things about this clinic and how different (in the best way) of an experience it was from our previous clinic. I would encourage anyone to go there for fertility treatment.

Everyone in the clinic was kind and professional. My first morning appointment was very quick with minimal to no wait time. The nurse returned my question via email very quickly also, being very accommodating with appointment times!

I love this place. They book you in really quickly, they get back to you with results usually the same day for most tests, they reply to your emails and answer all of your questions. I seen dr Lai and she was so thorough and never made me feel rushed. I started going in June was pregnant by august def recommend this place.

Doctor Hartman and everyone else at this clinic is simply amazing, kind and thoughtful. I am currently pregnant with my first IUI. I do hope this one sticks with us after two pregnancy losses. Highly recommended. Something I noticed is that the Doctor at Generation Fertility preforming the SONOs is rushing through SONO ultrasounds instead of performing a more throughly check.

Poor response. Fertility preservation procedures with them last year, was told that I'd be notified when it's time to renew my egg storage fee annually, but so far, they never notify me nor send me any renewal notice/invoice and I have had to email and call them several times to get an answer. No one answers email, and phone calls always go to voice mail. Frankly I am a bit concerned about the safety of my eggs in their facility.

This clinic has serious patient confidentiality issues. They refuse to let you discuss results privately, instead they tell you to wait in the waiting room and then they call you and force you to discuss your situation on the phone with every other patient sitting next to you - EVERY TIME. The receptionists loudly discuss patient files (and criticism of patients) each visit I've had over the last 6 months. Each clinic visit it's the same thing. They refuse to release patient records and refuse to deal with you unless it's on the phone or email. Stay away from this place if you would like to feel that you're worth anything more than revenue to them.

The receptionist Joanna was very helpful in clearing up the miscommunication and the misplaced lab reports that was left from the incompetent Sabina

I’ve moved to ON from BC, we are shipping our frozen embryos over and Dr Lai and the team made a lot of time for us and our 1000 questions. It was a very pleasant experience and I would definitely recommend them.

I absolutely adore this place, and would strongly recommend to all. The staff is wonderful, very nice and friendly. The nurses are well educated, and happy to answer any and all of my questions, I never feel rushed or anything, or made to feel belittled. The ultrasound technicians are the sweetest people I have ever met, the building is absolutely clean and I have no bad things to say about this place. Dr Hartman is the BEST, he took his time to answer my questions, he made sure we understood all the processes, and what would be happening. 10/10 would recommend him to others.

Highly recommend Generation Fertility clinic. Getting an appointment is fast, and easy.
Dr. Gurau’s team and the reception staff is great! However the male testing room could use some new chairs. Nothing but a positive experience here.
