To be honest, this place should just close. They stop accepting patients two hours before they’re closing time. SUPOSSED to close at 3, but really close at 1 because they won’t take any patients after that. What a waste of a clinic in our town, the staff are rude & don’t care about their patients. This is twice in a month we’ve been refused two hours before their closing time. Have you read the recent reviews? I will never recommend this place or even go back. Absolutely ridiculous. I would have rated it 0 stars if I could have.
My elderly father had an appointment scheduled for 1pm. We arrived 2 hours early due to change in schedule and still waited until 1: 30 to be seen. The doctor did not check his blood pressure until we asked. These guys used to be awesome. Not sure what happened
Very special Thanks to Nancy Ishak for her great service and support.
Nancy really went to the extra mile and supported me and my family a lot helping us on everything Giving us the best experience we can get in Canada so far
Will definitely go there again because of Nancy
Thanks Nancy for the outstanding service and cheerful Smile.
My recent clinic visit was exceptional, largely thanks to Nancy Ishak, the Front Desk Lead. Her warm welcome, efficient management, and impressive knowledge made the visit outstanding. Nancy's multitasking skills, genuine concern for patients, and commitment to safety stood out. I highly recommend this clinic, greatly influenced by Nancy Ishak's remarkable contributions.
I was turned away 1 hour before closing with only 1 person in the waiting room. I was first told that there were no doctors available and then told that their 60 patient per day max was already reached and that they don’t do stitches at the clinic (even though the poster on their window said they did). This clinic does not care about helping people.
Went with high fever and severe pain in my throat. Doctor got one of the front desk girls to do a rapid strep swab and just came back to let me know the results. Went to a different clinic the next day and was diagnosed with a severe bacterial infection in my throat and given antibiotics. This is not the first time. My son was misdiagnosed there as well. Please hire better doctors.
I visited them in the month of Feb 2023, I was impressed by the kindness of the staff and the short wait time (i had an apointment and only waited like 10 min) I’ve had terrible experiences with walks ins before, so this one was such a positive relief… doctor spends like 3 minutes with you max, but I guess that’s every doctor… Allopathic medicine, so you Know how they are fond of the prescriptions and drugs to try to solve the problem, but tbh I loved this experience overall,
If I could give less than 1 star I would because 1 star is still a high rating. I don’t know why or how they are still in business. They don’t see patients in person no matter what. Doctor’s are rude and disregard the patients need. If you tell them you have another issue as well, they tell you very rudely that one diagnosis per visit or call. This is ridiculous.
The doctor I saw completely dismissed me when I said I had tonsillitis/strep. Told me "people your age don't get strep". Didn't use a light to look at my throat, did a brief swab "just in case I'm wrong" and told me to call for results in 2 days. ' I went to another clinic as I was getting much worse. He immediately put me on antibiotics for strep and 3 days later I'm finally getting better. I still haven't heard from Genesis clinic about my results 4 days later. I wasn't taken seriously, the doctor was arrogant and I won't go back.
Update: almost a week. No lab results. And apparently I didn't see the doctor. He was an RN.
While not a regular at this clinic, i recently tested positive for covid and have some nasty chest pains. Within 1 hour I had a call back from a dr.and a requisition for a chest xray. They went above and beyond. Thank you Genesis!
Saw the Dr and explained my symptoms. He did a short exam and said it is viral and everything looks great. Went to hospital a day later with same symptoms and am told the infection is horrible and bacterial and I'm on 5 days of iv medication. Not impressed since I put my trust in someone who I assume is a Dr. Won't be back.
They DO NOT get back to your calls. I am constantly calling this office to be left on hold for 10-15 min sometime someone answers just to hang up on me, this has happened multiple times. Expect to wait 3 weeks for them to finally have answers for you… but be prepared to have to ring their line down and wait 20mins just to get hung up on.not impressed
I had to go in twice over the weekend. Both times I was seen quickly, the doctor was so nice and the pharmacists too. I would recommend them to anyone in search of a walk in or family doctor. Thank you so much!
I actually had a very good experience at the point of seeing a doctor, he was really nice and professional. I had to call later on to request for some things that my insurance asked for. Instead of whoever it was to politely explain to me (I wouldn’t need this information on my own for any reason, I simply told them exactly what I was told by my insurance), she responded by telling me it was kind of STUPID? What would it take to calmly explain that to me? Very disappointing.
This place is great. I have used them several times and have only had good experiences. The doctors listen to your concern and they genuinely want to help you. They do over the phone appointments and really listen. If necessary during cover they will see you in person and they are very thorough. Nice to have a clinic like this in town.keep up the great work
Been here a few times and always had a good experience. The doctors and front staff were friendly and helpful each time. Came for the first time during covid and booked a appointment. Was in and out in 15 mins with basically no waiting.
This clinic gave me such exceptional service on short notice. The staff is friendly and compassionate, and was able to help me quickly. The lady in the front was extremely kind and helpful. The doctor explained everything to me clearly. I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone in the Halton area.
Possibly the worst managed business in Halton. Dr Hanna excellent doc, but no one answers phones at clinic or pharmacy, mailbox usually too full to leave a message, slow replies to e messages if at all, and often garble whatever message they do finally get. Only persistence confirms they've not closed for good!
This place seriously needs a new receptionist. They nearly sent me to the wrong city for an appointment that the referral clinic already set for me. When I told the receptionist at Genesis that I already had an appointment with the referred specialist she cut me off and told me I must be confused and to call the number to talk to the other clinic I was being referred to. The other clinic confirmed for me that we already made the appointment and that the Genesis receptionist told me to go to completely different city than the referral clinic was. Incredibly unprofessional and rude.
The pharmacist is always amazing but went above and beyond tonight to deliver my meds to me in quarrintine on Christmas eve.people who live alone like me can rely on amazing people like this during covid times! So greatful
I want to say that this place is really nice and organized. I also want to speak for the nurse practitioner Sandra she is amazing caring, and definitely loves her job and has passion for it way better and knowledgeable than other doctors I have seen.
Had to have 2 phone appointments in the past 2 weeks. The first one was pleasant and the doctor was able to send my prescription to my pharmacy (family doctor is currently away and I needed a refill). The second appointment was interesting. This doctor was too quick with me and didn't seem to care. He recommended this prescription for me (separate issue) and asked if I could pick it up from their pharmacy. I asked if he could fax it to my pharmacy like they did last time, and he didn't say yes. He asked if I could just get it from their pharmacy at 10am tomorrow. The pharmacy called me and I explained what happened, and they said they could fax it over. She asked for the fax number of the pharmacy. Why on earth would I have that? I don't fax them, I call them. I said, "Do you want the number? " and she said "I guess", quite begrudgingly. She then ended the call with "I'll have to do some digging have a good day". Both the clinic doctor and pharmacy came across as pushy with having me use their pharmacy. I will not be using this clinic or pharmacy again.
I use the Medical Clinic since 2015, The lady's on front desk are experienced. I book my appointment same day in advance. Doctors are professionals. Depends on the situation and the, case, waiting time is different. But I see doctor on a reasonable time of wait. Human, Friendly and caring. Pharmacy is not to buy medicine, they explain and direct to discuss, explain of how to use this medicine effectively. Staff are friendly and helpful. Clean place and have many facilities which I recommend in Georgetown.
So I had called the clinic on Saturday morning and left a voice mail. I though my issue important enough to see a doctor. As I wait, the employee (who is 10 mins late) tells me there is no one in the office to see me. Weird, there’s no sign or edited message on the phone letting patients know that. So my issue is a visual one. I had no way of telling them what was actually happening. As the NP calls me back, she is not understanding what I’m detailing to her. It ended with her telling me to go to ER for treatment. Funny tho, eye drops and some cream fixed it right up as per my walk visit somewhere else directed. And because I had such an inept diagnosis on the phone on Saturday, I could not see another reliable doc on the same day or I would have to pay the $80 fee that Genesis walk in took for very poor attention. It just doesn’t make any sense to me why there would not be notice of in house treatment on the phone. I by the way live 45 mins away. This is just my truthful account of what happened. I’m sure they may be ok. I’ll never go back tho.
Very good first experience. Everything handled with no time wasted. Booked an appointment in person; showed up at appropriate time; showed into the room immediately;doctor was pleasant and efficient;diagnosis made;prescription filled and home. Extremely pleased with the results.
I love this clinic so much! When I first moved to Georgetown I went to this walk in clinic and I was always happy with the quick wait times and customer service. I saw different doctors until I met Dr Hannah. She was so thorough and so caring that I knew I had to ask if she was taking on new patients. This wonderful lady is now my family doctor (after being with my previous one for over 30 years) and also took on my husband who didn’t have a family doctor. I have nothing but great things to say about this clinic!
Came in Monday December 30th @12: 45pm the rude receptionist said doctor is on lunch till 1: 15pM can you come back I said no issues I can wait as long as I can be seen at 1: 15pm for sure. 35 mins spent in a room and doctor is still way past their entitled lunch with a room full of patients waiting. Terrible clinic.
Waited more than an hour at "the supposed to be walk-in clinic". I understand this clinic has regulars patients, but they should manage better the walk-ins patients too. After almost an hour I asked the receptionist when my turn will be and she said, in 5 mins. 5 mins passed and another regular patient went in, I told the receptionist, I was leaving and she said it was my turn, but I was too upset to stay. They made me feel like a second class citizen. I will never comeback there again
Walk-in is not a real walk-in they only take patients between appointments. That information is not shared. I was the only person waiting for walk-in and it took over an hour to even go in a room. Bad service definitely not coming back.
This is our family doctor location, and we also use our for walk in appointments. All the doctors we've seen have been great. Dr. Hanna is our regular. Wait times average from right away to about an hour at worst (only once in awhile). Most times they are really quick. Call ahead if you're in a rush to find out how long the wait is.
I wish companies actually posted information so people don't waste time going to their location. Even with the horrible reviews I chanced going to this walkin for a quick issue. I walked in only to be asked if I preregistered.has the walkin process changed? I rarely go to walkins so maybe, but I was told registration closed at 1pm for the clinic that actually closes at 3. This is posted nowhere so of course I would not have known. Maybe this should be posted at least on the front doors.if not on the website, so people know to call ahead before driving to their location.
This clinic has poor service from the front desk and I can in just this week and waited and hour. And someone who came in after me when in before me. It should be first come first serve. Not impressed at all with this clinic and the front desk staff ladies.
Long waits and it doesn't sound like the doctor knows what she's talking about. Also seems like they're more interested in making money at the pharmacy vs.doing what's right.
Second visit to a this busy clinic. Will come again. I found the staff incredibly honest about the wait times and appreciated that. The female doctor here was very busy and likes you to get straight to the point, but she also provided an accurate diagnosis and was helpful. Anything more complicated and i’d stick with your family doc. Bring a book for the wait, have a list of your symptoms/history ready for her and you’ll be fine.
I recently switched over from Shoppers Drug Mart to Genesis Pharmacy I was having trouble with my prescription calling the doctors four times in order to get my prescription fix. All it took was for me to talk to the lady at Genesis Pharmacy once explaining my story only once to her and that day she had all my troubles fix.the owner clearly cares about his staff and clearly cares about his clients and it shows in his business. I will recommend the store to everyone and anyone who needs it.also anyone who's giving them less than five stars have no idea what they're talkin about they clearly we're having a bad day and did not spend enough time or giving them a chance in order to serve them properly.thank you Genesis for making my life easier and caring about my issues and problems! Xoxo
Attended the Clinic to have my daughters cough looked at on Sunday October 6-2019. Lined up outside with six others just before they opened at 1000. A secretary walked by all of us and entered the clinic not saying a word. A few minutes later she posts a sign on the door advising the doctor won’t be in until after noon. No explanation, alternative locations or apology given.
I will not attend this location again. It speaks to the sad state of affairs our “health care” system is in.
The clinic is close proximity to where we live, they don’t have good customer service to start with. The receptionist has no idea and no experience to work at a doctors clinic. Always have to repeat everything twice and makes you feel unwelcome. You still have to wait for 30-45 mins at minimum with a confirmed appointment. The doctors are ok but rush you to finish your issue.
Another review stated rude and abrupt. I will add that I found the doctor to be dismissive and belittling. There are a number of other options in the area, which I now choose visit first.
