Food was OK. Very poor service. Tried to call the waiter many times and was completely ignored. After a while he just passed and rudely said: “first come, first served”. After a 30 min wait he finally took our order but yanked the menu out of my hands. Should’ve walked out.
Six years ago I came here and gave Geneva a glowing review. I have recently returned, and am adjusting that review so it reflects the current standard. It was a terrible experience. In the past six years, Geneva has gone from a very nice, cozy, and charming establishment to a veritable dump. Severely outdated, poorly maintained both in the exterior and interior, and just very dismal and depressed. The service was a disgrace. There were no servers present just the cook who was pulling double duty both cooking and serving. We waited for 10 minutes and weren't even acknowledged. Needless to say, we didn't remain. I can't comment on the food, but I will say that the experience was dreadful and I'll never set foot in Geneva again because of it. Bottomline is, you're not going to make it in this industry if you can't provide a quality service, regardless of how good your food may or may not be.
Not terrible food, but the staff was really rude to us and all the clients we saw coming inside the restaurant. The waiting time for us was more than 30 minutes.
Great food! The chef is amazing. I came on a busy day he was by himself and took all of a Our orders and manage to prepared them deliciously and fast. Amazing place.
I really wanted to love this place because of the GF options but the service was not good. One person was cooking, serving and doing dishes. It made the service very scattered and slow. My friend got there food well before me and she was almost done by the time mine came. Took a while for the server to come get order and coffee came after meal. My BF got an order with steak and it was almost all raw and he did not feel safe eating it. His potato’s were raw as well. Not what I expected at all…
Lovely place, great place for breakfast. The atmosphere was very relaxing, service was a bit slow but there was only one person working so it made sense. Overall a very nice place and even with a solo it provided food quickly.
Best place to go for crepes. I have never ever came across any other restaurant that had amazing crepes and customer service they are the best! clean, organized and consistent with their food and service. 5 stars highly recommend. I lived in Kingston for 1 year and i can say this was the best restaurant for breakfast inside that town.
Waffles and crepes are well made and the options I've tried so far compliment them nicely (the dulce de leche is superb). The food isn't overly sweet, which I like. This is a great place to get a light-ish breakfast/snack or even dinner.
Had the Thai crepe and it was made vegan. It was amazing. The service was good. All 4 of us enjoyed the crepes, both sweet and savoury. All gender washrooms which was nice to see as well.
As always, an excellent crepe. It was well worth the wait (it was very busy and the owner is short-staffed due to the pandemic), and it was hot, right of the burner, and the coffee was delicious also.
This a gem of little place in downtown Kingston. I was super excited that almost everything on the menu can be made gluten-free (I have Celiac Disease). I had the Monet Crepe and it was delish! The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable about cross-contamination and ensured that the grill/crepe maker and cooking utensils were cleaned before making my crepe. I highly recommend if you’re in the mood for a crepe (savory or sweet!). Definitely will be returning when in Kingston!
My boyfriend and I were beyond impressed with our food. We have never seen a place do crepes like this before so we were super excited to try it out. I had the fresh garden crepe and it was so scrumptious. He had the lumberjack waffle and couldn't say enough good things about it. We also split the bruschetta and the crostini. The bruschetta had to be one of the best I've had and the crostini was such a wonderful flavour. I truly have nothing negative to say. I can not wait until I have another opportunity to order food from this establishment. 10/10 thank you so much for a wonderful meal.
The Deluxe Crepe came with spinach, onions, red peppers, eggs, mushrooms and your choice of meat (I got chicken) and your choice of cheese (I got smoked cheddar) with Hollandaise sauce drizzled on top. I forgot to say I wanted the buckwheat crepe, so I got the original crepe, which was still delicious, but next time I have to remember to try the buckwheat.
Disgusting place. The menu is all greasy. The smell makes me feel sick. We left in 5 minutes. Their kitchen is also oiled, greasy, smell awful. To stay in such kind of place to eat is disrespect myself. The girl was in dirty with spot apron.
The crepes were top notch with a good selection of sweet or savoury to choose from. I asked to have a sauce omitted from mine as a preference and the chef offered suggestions that might make a good substitution. We were very happy with the flavour and quality of the food.
The interior is small and cozy but the view for people watching is fantastic.
The staff were wonderful, knowledgable and very easy to talk to.
I would highly recommend for a date night or even a casual breakfast when looking for something different.
The crepes were great, very tasty and a wide selection to choose from. I had the Maple one which was fantastic and the portion size was perfect. This was my first visit here and I want to go back again to sample more of the delicious crepes. Service was fantastic our waiter was very patient and waited for us to make up our mind as when we first arrived we were too busy chatting and did not have time to review the menu fully. He let us chat and then came back and took our order. Food arrived quickly and was hot. I will return again in the near future.
Excellent food, crepe is much bigger than I expected based on price. Relaxing and peaceful atmosphere and wonderful staff. Service was a little slow but the wait was worth it!
At my last visit with family we had very different things and they were all great, from panini to vegan crepe. The sweet crepe I had was fabulous; this is definitely a special occasion treat for me.
One of the best places to get crepes in Kingston. Maybe the best place. I like the soft spongy texture of the crepes. They have sweet and savoury, lots of topping options.
This place is a home run. I have been on many many occasions, and never been disappointed. The man who works there is very hard working and great at what he does. All the staff seem to be great at what they do. The food is always excellent and there are even options that appeal to children. I find it great that it is now open at 7 am now, as i am an early riser and on occasion waiting until 9 was torture. Can't wait to try every option on the menu.
Portions were great! Varies choices for crepes from savory to sweet. Their hot drinks are delicious too. The service could be slightly improved. Upon entering, no one greet us and the staff were not as attentive as I hoped.
Great Crepe, and smoothies. I did not try any of the other items on the menu. Service is average. Try to park on Clergy Street.towards Queen St; easier to find a spot.
My husband's Seafood Crepe had shrimp, bay scallops, lobster and sole in a very peppery sauce. Some of it was inside the crepe, but most was poured on top of the crepe, so his looked very different from mine. He really liked his crepe, but I had a taste and found it way too peppery. I liked mine a lot better.
The waffles that I had were really really good - I could tell they were made in-house and that they were really fresh. The garlic potatoes that accompanied them were good as well. The only complaint that I have is that, as others have said, the restaurant itself is getting a little run down. The service was great; both prompt and friendly.
Always consistently great food! Never have a complaint about the food! The servers could work for their tips a little better! I've been in here more than 7times now. With my partner most but have now brought a couple friends and asked their experience, with the same answers. Delicious menu though!
Small restaurant. Cozy ambiance. Clean establishment. Specializes in crepes and waffles but have other items in menu like salads and paninis. They have breakfast style crepes. Large coffee and tea drinks options. Beer and wine available. Our crepes were very tasty and a hefty portion, with lots of filling. They are open late.
Food is very delicious and unique, but the male staff was unfriendly and unkind. There were so many people waiting in the restaurant, so that I waited for 30 minutes to order my food sitting at a table.
