I found a recommendation for George's Windows & Doors on Reddit a while back and I'm truly glad I contacted them. We had the team replace 8 different windows and a door all while a winter storm was going on.

They did a great job keeping the place tidy and the finished product in the end was wonderful. The team we had in were super friendly and they even went above and beyond by taking away some old cardboard I had laying around. Where do you get that kind of service these days?

Last year we replaced our upstairs windows with George's and recently a few on the main floor including a double patio door. The impact was immediate since our old windows/doors were leaky. We were impressed with the customer service, and the installation crew was professional, clean and did a fantastic job. They arrived when expected and were great to deal with. We hope to work with them again as we look at more upgrades to our house. If you are looking for local company that will look after you, call George's!

I brought a patio door lock from George’s, trust me I couldn’t find it across any stores in Guelph, kitchener, Cambridge, waterloo, Mississauga, Vaughan.

George’s asked me to send a picture of it and they were able to source it in three weeks.

I had an egress window put into my basement. The guys arrived on time. Answered all my questions, took shoes and boots off when coming in the house. Worked continually all day. I had all my windows changed as well as my front and side door upgraded last year Oct 2021. Very happy and satisfied. George and his crew were very professional and fast. I am very pleased.

Our experience with George's Windows & Doors has been amazing! We decided to replace our top floor windows (13), a few main floor windows, and our sliding door (November 2021). We received 3 quotes from reputable companies. Shawn toured our house and explained the industry, products, process, and pricing. Shawn recommended different options and window styles for each room, the pros and cons of each window and style. He respected his competitors and was very professional.

We were told to contact the office if we were interested in moving forward or had any questions. Heather was prompt at making revisions and changes after the original quote.

The team was honest about the timeline explaining winter installations, manufacturing delays, etc. We were told to expect an April-May 2022 install. Install was completed the first week in March. That being said, our slider is delayed Heather communicated clearly the delay and when we could expect it.

Installation - Was exactly as explained, the team showed up put down floor protection and got to work, they were friendly and courteous. At the end of the job they cleaned up explained and demonstrated the window functions.

Overall the quality is exactly what we expected, No more drafts, no more condensation, our house is holding heat, (bedroom is 2-3 degrees warmer).

I will recommend this company to everyone! Everything they could control they did, and when they couldn't they communicated in a timely manor!

George and Matt just finished trimming our entrance door so it no longer sticks when we try to open or close it. This was a problem we had for the last 17 years and for which we could not find anyone to touch it. The door now opens and closes with no problems, we will have trouble getting used to not having to slam it shut or reefing it open. Workmanship was professional and enjoyed the banter. It is good to see someone from Guelph that can still do these things.

PS I usually shy away from filing such reviews.

We have used George's Windows and Doors over the last 10years since we moved in to our home. Having many windows to replace, we had to financially do it in phases by priority. Every time they came they were on time, friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. We just had the last of our windows replaced (11) as well as our front door. We are very pleased with the detail in the installation. Great job!

George's Windows installed all of our basement windows yesterday and they did an amazing job. The windows were the original windows from 1953 so they had to remove everthing down to the concrete wall. Blake, Eric and Cody arrived on time and got to work right away. They removed the old windows, installed the new ones and even cleaned the new windows before they left. All of the garbage was removed and everything was left neat both inside and outside of the house. The caulking on the exterior was top notch and professionally done. Thank you also to Heather in the office who was always friendly and quick to respond to any questions. Highly recommend George's Window!

I had George's install an entire upper floor of windows + a patio door a few years ago, now having lived with their work through 2 winters and summers I can say they did a fantastic job! The consultation was very easy and they were able to do all the work I paid for in a day. My house was quite drafty before the new windows but since then the heat in the house stays in and my rooms all hold the same temperature. The price was very good as well, lower than the other quotes I had gotten. I was very impressed with their work and would use George's for any future projects I had.

AVOID! Never actually completed the job - THEN, we were left with leaks in our basement after window update- cannot get even a reply to address, now have to pay thousands in repairs and updates to a job that was supposed to be 3 days (that took them weeks, well into the winter, they never did fully complete, leaving mounds of dirt in our yard to freeze, and never actually finished the new window wells). If you choose them you are taking your chances, don't pay until job is 100% done to your satisfaction!

From start to finish this team was fantastic. Response right away for a quote, follow up for details as soon as we agreed on scope, order places right away, install scheduled and completed.

Doors and windows installed in a day and sealed very well. Clean up after install was great, no mess left behind.

Pricing was very competitive, but still very happy with the quality.

Would highly recommend them to anyone. In fact I already have!

I did not have a good experience. They still owe me a screen door, which is paid for. The caulking on outside of door is very sloppy, also when they reinstalled my blinds they have never fit properly since. I would not recommend.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Poor follow up and sloppy work like only priming trim and not painting it. Replaced solid wood trim with cheap Imitation. Really poor and uncaring customer Threw out a piece of hardware that prevented the cupboard from hitting the door and refused to replace it. Used a mix of screws to install the doors including silver coloured wood screws and brass decking screws.

When I shared all of these concerns in writing with George’s they did not reply and made no effort to fix. This company is a disaster. I highly recommend Going to any other window and door company.

I would never recommend this company to a friend.

We just had 17 Windows installed in our house. From the quotation to the final cleanup this company was #1. Professional, courteous, clean and attention to detail. I would highly recommend Sean and his team. Great product and service!

I had George’s install an egress window and fire door for a duplex. Every single employee that I dealt with were nothing short of stellar. Everything was done in a timely fashion and cleaned up at the end of the day. Highly recommend.

I went into the store to fix the a 30 year old storm door window and they fixed for five dollars. They actually had the clip I needed.

First let me say, the door works well. However, we had many problems during our experience. Firstly, our door is not a standard size, so finding a solution was challenging, and they did a good job with that, it looks good. However, it was a long time to get to the point of ordering, so it added several weeks to the process, which we were assured would take 6-8 weeks. Next the door arrived, but was damaged at the wearhouse, so they had to order a new one (ok, but it would have been nice if they had explained to us why it was taking months longer than they had said, especially since I did call and inquire). Finally after about 14 weeks they came to install the door. I asked if they wanted a thick rug that I use in the utility room to put down to protect my hardwood floors and they said not to worry they had a drop cloth. Well, the floor has 3 significant gouges now. Also, the step in is awkward, and a bit of tripping hazzard and it would have been nice if they had done some more planning on how to fit the door with out a very high step in.

Had my bedroom window installed last week. They did an amazing job. There price is right. Super nice guys that were here. I would definitely use them again. Thanks guys. Cant wait till summer to open the window.
