I ordered a black cake for my son's birthday. It was delicious and beautifully decorated. Over the years I have ordered cake from Jerry's, never been disappointed. Thanks again for an excellent job!

Donovan’s a great guy. He’s all smiles and very welcoming. We chatted for a while and he shared so much of his family’s history and stories, it felt like we were having lunch at an uncle’s place. The space is very welcoming, and is constantly busy. I didn’t know anything about Jamaican black cake/ christmas cake or what sorrel was and he was so kind to share his knowledge and let me have a little taste. What a treat! They were both very delicious, the christmas cake was so moist and light, I definitely have to order it for my family next time.

We had jerk chicken, rice and peas, steamed veggies and a spicy beef patty each. The price was very reasonable and the food was hearty and tasty. The patty pastry was also flaky and smelled inviting.

What we thought would be a regular lunch turned out to be a wholesome experience. I highly recommend this neighborhood spot and definitely will come back for the food!

Great family owned business. I love the jerk chicken, oxtail and pound cakes. They are friendly and courteous.

Went here and ordered the jerk chicken and some coconut cookies. The food was immaculate and was quite a reasonable price. The staff here was very nice and outgoing

The food was okay. The oxtail was quite salty but the rum cake was absolutely divine. Service was okay and I think there was seating area.

I moved to NB approximately 2years ago and I have missed good ethnic food.
Gerry’s was just the ticket!
Their goat roti was heaven, just the right spice level with tender goat pieces and the right amount of potatoes. The roti was thin enough to hold the contents without being doughy when folded.
Their home made ginger beer was the best I have ever tasted. This alone is worth the trip!
Will go back again before leaving.

Garry's fast food has lost their flavor into the kitchen the original cooks has passed on with that wonderful flavor and the delicious taste.

Y’all! I just scarfed down the stewed beef with coleslaw. Am now having a patty. Holy smokes. Lord Jesus Christ. So so good. I am lucky to have this place close by to fill my belly with such delicious food.

As a Jamaican I have tried so many Jamaican own restaurants food and to be honest I don’t think they cook for Jamaicans not one of these restaurant grabs me bought a oxtail food I was wondering what am I eating KMT no flavour at all second time ordering won’t order again don’t like these fake Jamaican foods you guys cooking for Canadian a noh soh Jamaicans cook food noh nice at all

I was working in the area and needed a cold bottle of water on this hot day. The gentleman working there gave me a free bottle of water. What an amazing guy! I will definitely be bringing my entire family here for lunch or dinner this week. Thank you!

I decided to stop by today after see all the great reviews but I'm disappointed in my $15+ jerk chicken it was really dry. The Man at the counter was really nice maybe it was just an off day.

Fried chicken was bland and cold and coleslaw was very unimpressive. Go try something else because this spot is not worth spending for a $10 plus meal.

So grateful to have a spot like Gerrys in my neighbourhood! I have tried a lot of patties and these are hands down my favourite- so flavourful! The curry chickpeas and desserts are also all amazing.
Cant believe this place has been here for 40 years! Donovan and Andrea have such good energy I look forward to my weekly stops on a walk.

Well established multi - generational, small family operated Jamaican Restaurant. Clean and Friendly. Authentic Jamaican home cooking served with a warm smile and light conversation. I quite enjoyed the Chicken Roti and My Friend had the Beef Roti. Their Jamaican Black Cake is among the best I have had. Will be back often. Also looking forward to getting My Bun & Cheese fix again come Easter season

My first time trying beef patties. I got spicy ones and they were so flavorful and delicious. I loved the interior decor of the restaurant too.

First I’ll start off my saying the service here is always friendly & pleasant.
I ordered the small oxtail with rice and peas, I was disappointed. The oxtail was very salty and mild tasting. I was disappointed there wasn’t any peas or dumplings either. The rice was mushy & reminded me more of cookup. It wasn’t satisfying. I’ll try something else on the menu next time. Three stars for the service.

Absolutely amazing! I was walking along the street before lunch and smelled an amazing aroma of authentic Caribbean spices. I asked the owner which is his favourite dish (es) and he guided me towards the curried goat or jerk chicken as they are his top sellers. I went with the goat and it was fantastic! Definitely coming back here!

Gerrys cakes, food, and the customer service is the best in the city for Jamaican cuisines.

My favourite is the plain cake along with the puddings (I’ve never met a pudding or a meal from their that I didn’t like).

I’ve been going to Gerry’s Fast Food for decades. The food is amazing! The service is excellent and the staff are very friendly.

My favourite is “Oxtail Rice and Peas” with a side order of plantain.

This spot is my favorite. I go to many restaurants but to this restaurant I go the most. The stuff is very welcoming and the cooking they cook is so tasty. I never decline to have a good dinner in this place. I recommend this place with pleasure.

I've never really liked patties, but these patties? Delicious flaky soft crust with delicious filling. Now I want them all the time! #shoplocal

The meat portion was so skimpy for the small oxtail (14.70 after tax). The oxtail itself tasted mild and alright. It comes with the rice & peas and the coleslaw. The rice & peas was too mushy but the coleslaw tasted good

At the first moment you come to that place team give you a comfortable feeling. Very congenial crew, it is a friendly place to to go out with friends and colleagues or with your date. Excellent meals, experienced chef de cuisine, comfortable price and attentive service. Warmly recommended.

Last week I got fried Chicken and rice n peas salad not yo forget the cake with the soup yo open my appetite! Let me tell you the good was absolutely amazing I enjoyed it soooooooo much.

We enjoy eating out. Last night we came to this superb restaurant which friends recommended to us. We had a delightful time there with high-qulity meal and a courteous crew and a distinguished chef. We put this fine restaurant in our phone list and we shall no doubt visit again very soon. Highly recommended.

Only ordered via UberEats so far so no comment on service or the actual location. Food is tasty and authentic. Prices are alright. Wasn't overly memorable to be honest but I certainly was not disappointed. Seems like a great local small business to support.

Do you guys still do black cakes for birthdays? If this is the right place my parents had been ordering black cakes from here for years. I have been wondering for years if this place was still around.

Gerry's is phenomenal. I was first introduced earlier this year by my partner who grew up on St. Clair West. I have become a big fan of Jamaican food since moving to Toronto 5 years ago (especially loving curry roti, rice and peas and jerk chicken) and Gerry's is by far my absolute favourite spot to indulge.

They have hearty and flavourful vegetarian options (including veggie patties!) and fantastic meat dishes. The curry chicken roti is by far my favourite dish- the roti skins are fresh, light and never greasy. The curry chicken fill is substantial- you can easily get two meals out of one roti!

My partner often grabs the jerk pork dinner with rice and peas, and I always find myself grabbing a few bites, despite my not being a huge fan of pork. The pork is tender and the jerk spice is fragrant and hot but not painfully spicy.

Besides the food, the owners are wonderful. Gerry's is a generational, family-owned business that exudes love and community. You can taste the care they put into each dish- the homemade patties and ginger beer are big testaments to this. Prices are more than fair for the quality of food you are getting.

Gerry's is a staple of the neighborhood- I couldn't imagine the St. Clair West food scene without them!

This is absolutely one of the most attractive place to eat in the neighborhood. Every time I go there I am highly satisfied. They hold their high standard service and the highest level of meals they serve. You always win with this restaurant. Very recommended.

Great service and friendly staff! I got myself a small Jerk Pork, the food came with coleslaw as sides and the portion is bigger than I expected. Definitely worth the price for the size of the food and really enjoy the food too!

Used to visit Gerry's Food during my university years all the time. Best Jamaican food in the city. Pretty sure without Mr. Wong's generosity I would have starved during late nigh exam prep days.
