Had a positive experience with Get A Better Mortgage. We dealt with Lisa Alphonso who guided us through each step with enthusiasm and professionalism. Would highly recommend.

We were looking into refinancing and Allan was helping us. In july 2022 we were told to get a lawyer and he gave us the forms to finalize everything. We were put off and I had to keep reaching out or we never would get anywhere. In December 2022 he said we needed a second appraisal and then said sorry your house value went down so we can’t help you. My problem is in july my house was worth what was needed and they dragged us along and said no sorry. Very upset as we went and did upgrades and no one came in to appraise … just decided from their office I guess. Will never recommend and still wonder how they can do this. Unhappy

I hate to say it, but I will not send any customer to Getbetter Mortgage because of non-professional approach. Asked to have a fixed rate back in last August, but mortgage broker Allan M.did the opposite asked him to have fixed the mortgage instead of doing it variable. He did not want to change the papers last minute because it was extra work for him. He was convincing me that CB promised not to hike until 2023. I had a different view, but he did not want to go the extra mile and change it. I lost a good momentum to fix it, and now my 350k mortgage is 600 dollars more than it was. Imagine if you had 1mln morgtage. I wrote to their boss Robert, no answer.
Same time My other property CiBC mortgage agent did exactly what I wanted and now I have fixed rate and enjoy low payments. Never trust getbettermortgage.
