There's less and less walk-in clinics these days. Glad to see this one operating conveniently located on Sheppard Avenue. Staff are friendly, and there's free parking at the back of the building. They will see patients without OHIP, and take payment.

Make an appointment ahead of time, and there's typically very little wait.

The facility was clean and well-maintained, creating a calming environment. Doctors are kind and considerate. The receptionists are helpful and nice. I would highly recommend it to anyone in need of medical care. Thank you to the entire team for their outstanding service.

Dr. Liu is clearly lacking in experience. I observed that she didn't read my file prior to my appointment as she had asked me why I had the appointment. Overall I found her impersonal and a little flippant.

Dr. Young is approachable and is willing to take the time to explain test results and next steps. The clinic itself is clean and has a decent range of options in terms of walk-in hours. There can be a wait at times to get an appointment, and you need to book through an online portal, but the clinic has been great so far in getting in touch with me after I've sent an appointment request.

Very bad and infuriating experience! I made an appointment online at 13: 40, arrived early and registered my information. I was told that my family doctor was on maternity leave and I was received by Michelle Liu, the doctor in charge, and I was the only patient waiting for her! As a result, I waited for 50 minutes and didn’t enter the clinic until 14: 35. During this period, I asked the boy at the front desk many times. He also helped me check the situation very responsibly and told me that the doctor had been on the phone. I didn’t understand why this happened.thing! What's ridiculous is that this young female doctor actually tried to argue that she didn't know I was already at the clinic and she falsely accused me of being late so she called the next patient and stayed on the phone for 50 minutes! Incomprehensible! I have to speak out about my experience and I hope no one will ever encounter such a doctor again!

I'd like to share some important points for new patients considering registering at this clinic:

1. It's nearly impossible to reach them by phone. The only way to contact them is by sending an email through the clinic's website. Effective communication is crucial for a healthcare facility, and this clinic's irresponsible communication method is a major drawback.

2. If you want to add your previous pharmacy information to your profile, they charge an additional fee.

3. Family doctors have very limited available time slots, making it difficult to schedule appointments.

4. If you wish to transfer your family doctor elsewhere, they charge a $30 fee for sending your medical records during the process.

I had very bad neck stiffness, hardly turn left and right.after a few treatment with Dr. Lee Chiropractor. The stiffness was completely gone. Thanks to Dr. Lee!

Update: visited the office and was told to leave a voice mail and the receptionist will call back.

Not sure what happened. I have been calling to reschedule my appointment for 2 weeks straight and not able to get through to a real person. They can't possibly be that busy? Last time I went, there were 2 receptionists on staff.

Doctors are great, but the owner needs to see what the receptionists are doing. Did they just leave the phones off the hook?

I have seen a few Doctors here, all have been amazing, great family doctors here, my current Doctor is Dr. Anna Yu, she has been very caring and helpful, no complaints at all. She accommodates her patients and genuinely cares that's how I feel.

I went to the clinic a couple days ago. The walk-in doctor was great. I was able to get an appointment quickly, and my mom was able to get an accurate referral to the right specialist.

A medical care practice that does not provide walk in at the time the patient walk in to get help should not advertise having walk-in services. We drove to this clinic because I remembered seeing a large "WALK-IN" sign on their front. Once I was inside the front desk told me walk-ins are only after 4pm. Wasted my time while looking for medical care for someone in need or quick medical care.

I highly recommend the clinic for their fabulous service, knowledgeable doctors and very supportive administration team. I love the website that allows to schedule appointments to see your family doctor at the most convenient time, and whenever there is a question, the team responds super quick! Great system!
Another thing to point out is that there is almost no waiting time, very organized!
And the doctors and the specialists are amazing!

The clinic is fantastic!
Very organized, polite receptionists and support team, and very helpful and knowledgeable doctors, and always on time. I forgot to mention how comfortable is their website, great tool!

This is not actually a walk-in clinic. They do not take walk-ins on most days of the week. It is not clearly stated. We drove over and asked for an exception to be made since it was not clear and they refused to accommodate.

What an awful clinic. My prescription was unclear on what the dosage was so the pharmacist couldn't give it to me. The pharmacy that I use was trying to get a hold of the get well clinic for over a week. They didn't respond to the pharmacy because they weren't "set up" with the clinic to fax over prescriptions. They wanted to charge me to set this up before they contacted the pharmacy. Basically, I couldn't get my prescription filled and had to suffer longer with my condition because they wanted more money to correct it. Don't go here they clearly don't care about you.

With the help of Dr. Lai and the weigh loss team at the Getwell clinic I was able to safely and effectively lose over 60 lbs in one year. I highly recommend the staff and services at the clinic.

Dr. Kevin Lai has been my family doctor since 2009 until present. He is a very compassionate doctor. I’ve been through in a lot of ups & downs, he shows a lot of empathy and he cares about his patients. I have witness this doctor’s professionalism and outstanding care he exhibit to myself and to the community. I’m very happy and lucky to have him as my primary doctor. Thank you Dr. Lai for everything.

Highly recommended his clinic to all of my friends in the community

The problem I've had when calling the Get Well Clinic is that I've not been able to reach any one during their hours of operations. And I have tried several times.

When I call the clinic, my call is not answered by a person. I do however have 6 options to choose from, from the clinic's automated telephone attendant. None of these options lead me to speak to an employee of the clinic. I have tried all automated options and all of them led me to a mailbox where I could leave a voice message. Before leaving my message, the automated attendant further informs me that it may take up to 48 hours for someone to respond to my message.

At no point during my call, is there an option to be connected to the front desk or reception. And yet, the clinic does have a front desk/reception area which is staffed with anywhere from 1 to 3 employees. Furthermore, the employees at the front desk do interact with patients, at least face-to-face. I know this for a fact since I have interacted with them when making my payments for services rendered, when they have checked my ID, my temperature etc. So why is it impossible to reach the front desk by phone?

Does the clinic have a policy not to answer phone calls directly from patients, and if so why? What would be the rational for implementing such a policy in a medical clinic?

Or is this just a case of poor administrative practices on the part of the administrators and management of this particular clinic?

In any case, on Wednesday November 3rd, I left a message with my contact information for someone to call me back. The automated attendant specified that it may take up to 48 hours for my call to be returned. Today is November 4th and I did not receive a call back. If I don't get a call back by the end of business November 5th, the clinic will have failed to deliver on its commitment to return my call within 48 hours.

For now, I will give the clinic the benefit of the doubt by rating them at 3 stars. If by the end of the day tomorrow, Friday November 5th, my call is not returned, I will downgrade my review to a 1 star.

Addendum:

On Tues. Nov. 9,4 days (96 hours) after leaving my message, I received a call back from one of the clinic's receptionists. 4 days later.

My review for this medical clinic remains at 1 star.

The worst clinic ever. They never ever get the patients call. Don't even try to call them. And they are gonna say to leave voicemail and call u whenever they want even when I can not get the call. Then how can I ask my question and change or cancel the booking? They even charge the cancellation fee in 24hr without notice. They don't even get the call and charge for cancellation? How can I notice? I know its busy clinic and I can wait for a month to see doctor but they seriously need to fix the reception system. (Even all the time when you wanna see your family doctor, you need to wait at least a month. Better to find other clinic.)

They're so rude. If you ask any questions, first they said, "Let me check the price. "
they charge you for changing your pharmacy address.
They will charge you if you want to change your doctor.
They will update their online system and force you to pay for an expensive membership fee to use it if you want to book a virtual appointment with them.

My parents and I have been attending Get Well Clinic for many years now. Dr. Kevin Lai is our family doctor. My mother then passed away in April 2021.

Presently, my father and I still have Dr. Lai as our family doctor. He is an excellent doctor. Dr. Lai is very knowledgeable, professional, kind, and take time to listen to our questions or concerns.

When Dr. Lai is not available, there are also other doctors for us to see at this clinic. These doctors are very good too. The staff are friendly and helpful.

If I cannot attend the clinic in person, I make an appointment to speak with Dr. Lai either by teleconference or videoconference. Overall, my father and I are very satisfied with the services that we receive from Get Well Clinic.

Thank you so much Dr. Lai for being such a wonderful doctor! We appreciate all of your help! Anyone who is looking for a good family doctor. I would highly recommend Dr. Kevin Lai. 10/10

They‘re awesome. They're always there when I need them, and even sometimes I need to see my doctor the same day, and they did. My family doctor, Dr. Anna Yu, is responsible, gave me proper treatment for my allergy and asthma, and notified me as soon as she got my report. I am lucky to have the team. Thank you!

Great clinic. Small but organized, clean and welcoming. The staff are professional and polite. The one negative thing is that when I called for my follow up from their walk in clinic I left a voice message and even booked an appointment online hoping I can at least meet up with a doctor because I am concerned about some result I had from my examination. I waited and I went to the shower and unfortunately they called me when I was showering. It was my mistake for not bringing my phone in the bathroom. I waited and waited and even brought my phone with me even when I went to the toilet but no other call backs came. Disappointed

Went here for my COVID vaccine. Process was friendly, quick, and efficient. Working online portal? Check. Friendly knowledgeable staff? Check. Well-ventilated rooms with a clear process? Also Check. If you are looking for a family doctor, I'd suggest going there.

Very quick and friendly. Easy and smooth thru the whole process. They answered any and all of my questions. The only draw back which is not in their control is that they don't know when the second dose will be available so you have to keep checking back in 3 - 4 months as they don't know when they will get it. But I give this clinic 5 stars.

I have been suffering from some dental pain since having some work done. I went to see Dr Gordon Lee who does chiropractic work and he found some muscle tension in a few areas of my jaw. After one treatment I already have no dental pain and can open my mouth wider without any "clicking" noises. I am thrilled that I can put away the pain meds and the ice packs!

Strongly recommend Dr. Joo especially when you need a krn speaking fam doc. She is super friendly, efficient, and professional and is not hesitant to refer you to clinics/facilities you need to go. Encourages follow ups with her if needed anytime she works at the site.

Kind and friendly front desk staff! They helped me book an appointment and was able to squeeze me in on the same day for my son's illness. Dr. Gregory was very kind, did a thorough examination and carefully explained what needed to be done. He answered all my questions with patience and made us feel at ease. I will be coming back to this clinic!

My doctor was very kind and thorough which I appreciated. However the wait time was about an hour long even though there were only 3 people ahead of me with no appointments and I was there right when the doors opened.
UPDATE: I went back last month and I have to say that the experience was much better and it was much more organized. All the staff were great and most helpful especially given that it was a last minute appointment!

I have been going to this clinic for medical care for a while. So far I really like this clinic. Staff are friendly and courteous. I like the fact that I can find doctors and health practitioners who can communicate in Chinese for myself and my parents in North York area. Also, I always get reminders about my appointments whereas a lot of clinics and hospitals do not offer that service. The clinic is clean and tidy. Good location. Easy access by TTC buses. Free parking is available in the back. A plaza is just across the street for running errands if I would be waiting long in the line.

I was at the clinic and I called in to make sure the Dr was available. I was told if there are too many patients then we would not be allowed to see the Dr. We reached around 5: 20 and the reception told us only 1 person can be treated as they and they had only 4-5 patients. So decided to have our 21 months son treated. After going inside I asked Dr. Couglan if I could be treated as well because if parents remain sick the Child is never gonna feel better.
The same Dr. Is our family Dr as well. I was wondering if I have taken the right decision making her our family Dr. I don't see any Courtesy and humility towards us. I am not sure if this is how patients are to be treated?

This is a great clinic.clean, accessible, free parking, friendly staff, good doctor. I like that there are multidisciplinary practices all under one roof. Dr. Lai is a good doctor.kind and takes time to listen. Looks young but wise and knowledgeable. I feel confident & comfortable in his care.

My kids and I have seen Dr. Young, Dr. Coughlan, and Dr. Lipszyc as walk ins. They are all caring, patient, thorough, and skilled doctors. Wait time was short. The receptionists are always friendly and helpful. Free parking and accessible by TTC too. I drive so I love the free parking. I already have a family doctor elsewhere but I always have to pay for expensive parking whenever go I see him. The clinic is clean and tidy. Has many other medical services so I can get all my medical services done in one location instead of going to different places. Very convenient. If it’s not for the fact that my family already has a family doctor, I’d move my family’s medical care there. Highly recommended.

I have my family doctor at this clinic for over 6 months but I only had chance to see my family doctor twice because her appointment wait time was too long. Most recently I just realized that she's no longer with the clinic which means I don't have a family doc again. However, the clinic didn't bother to inform me until I called in for an appointment last week, which I wasn't every happy already.

They introduced me a new doctor they have as my new family doctor, so I had my first appointment with her. That wasn't a very pleasant experience at all. She didn't seem to care about me at all during the entire short appointment. I told her I just had a surgery in my home country and I have some exam reports would like to give it to her to review and keep file. She only glanced and saw the heading was in Chinese then she immediately said she can't read it that's another language. I told her the entire report is in English but she just denied it and asked me to just give it to the receptionist to scan. At that point I only wanted to leave so I left.

The next day I decided to call the clinic to tell them my experience, but the lady answer the call wasn't very helpful at all. She just said that's the conversation between me and my doctor and if I don't like her I can always walk in to see other doctors or sign up the email list to wait for another family doctor once available. I really couldn't believe what I had heard.

My impression about this clinic went from 4 star directly down to 0, if I have that choice her.

I met with Dr Jacqueline Ho at this walk-in clinic and could not be more satisfied with the service that I received. She was very thorough and pleasant.
I have been to other walk-ins in the Bathurst Sheppard area and would definitely recommend this over all the others.
