GewTV Cell Phone Repairs iPhone MacBook Unlock Guelph Computer PC

I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience at Gew TV. If it were possible to provide a rating of zero, I would gladly do so. On August 2nd, I brought in my MacBook due to a firmware password issue, and I was initially told it would be fixed within three days. However, my frustration grew as they repeatedly postponed the resolution, offering excuses for an entire month. This was particularly frustrating because I urgently needed my laptop.

After a month of waiting, I was finally directed to another branch, where my laptop was located. Fortunately, it is now functioning, but I've encountered unexpected battery issues that were not present before. This deterioration in the battery's performance is disappointing, especially since it was working perfectly prior to my visit to Gew TV.

I cannot recommend Gew TV to anyone based on my unsatisfactory experience with their service.

Had my iPhone 14 Pro max repaired back plate prompt service and great value service was great and back in perfect condition very friendly and fast, would recommend any one needing repair to check them out thanks

Quick iPhone screen repair was great. Got it back about an hour later. Unfortunately the new screen can’t be used while wearing sunglasses as there is a very dark glare on the screen (driving with gps, hiking etc).

Amazing service and very knowledgeable staff. I wasn’t able to turn MacBook Pro 2017’s screen on for a long time but the laptop still works well when I connected it to an external display. I brought it to the store and they/he figured things out clearly for me. It could be either the GPU or the screen cable, the two common screen problems with my model. But because the external screen has no issue with displaying, which indicates that the problem is not the GPU. They also explained to me that this happened due to the poor design from Apple and my MacBook Pro 2017 was the last model to have that kind of thing, which Apple knew and changed later but didn’t have any policy to cover it. To sum up, the problem is most likely to be the cable, which is attached to the screen and cannot be replaced on its own. This means if I want to repair it, I have to pay for a whole new screen, which is super expensive. However, thankfully, they advised me that the problem can happen again even if I have my screen replaced —— so I decided to buy a new one instead. They actually saved me a lot of money for not spending on something expensive but temporary. Finally, they offered me a significantly cheaper price compared to another store in the city if I want to fix it at anytime. Thanks a lot! I definitely will come back if I have any other issue

Went out of their way to accommodate my needs and I felt like I was personally cared for by their staff and service team this is a must go to.for any screen replacement needs just remember they take cash (thanks guys for taking such good care of my S10 plus screen replacment)

This is the worst computer repair place I have ever been to. Knowledge is terrible. Response time is terrible. Don't trust your course here. They are rude and and terribly unhelpful.

Probably the worst phone repair service I’ve had. Repair time is insanely long and there is a shocking lack of communication on the repairs being done. A repair that most other locations complete in a few days has taken two weeks and counting, and the only help received has been the employees telling me they have no idea when the phone will be ready.

Horrible wait times to get anything back from repair. They do not return phone calls nor do they trouble shoot properly. Gew TV had my computer for over a month but was unable to repair the unit. They still charged me for trying to reload windows. There are much better places in Guelph with a lot better service.

Wonderful experience! I dropped off a MacBook Laptop with a smashed screen. I was told it would be done in 3 - 5 business days and they had it back to me the next day. It is as good as new!

They replaced my IPhone battery and cleaned the power input receptacle.
Excellent customer service and knowledge, and very reasonable.cannot go wrong there.

Today I got my MI phone serviced here and they did a fantastic job. I don't own a high end model phone but it is very close to my heart. Some service centers refused to work on my phone saying that they don't have technicians who worked on the model but GewTv fixed it as brand new. This just proves that Skill is different from knowledge and thanks guys for not treating my Phone as just another junk like how the others did.

Very bad experience. I took in my PC, was given a 1-2 day estimate and it has been 5 days with nothing done. I've called them after 3 days and had someone say they would check if it was done and get back to me, which never happened. Each time I call they say "we are still working on it". Don't go here if you want your stuff fixed within a reasonable time frame.

Doesn't run like a business. Turnaround time for the repair was 3 weeks while I was advised 3-4 days. Lack of communication throughout the process, had to call several times to get an update on the timeline. Lack of details for the repair. Payment options are only cash or e-transfer while i was told the total repair was including taxes but there were no taxes and seems to have overpaid for the repair.

During these tough and uncertain times, these folks have been really great service to the community. I highly recommend them, they are the best cell phone shop and computer repair in town!

This is an amazing place for whatever you may need regarding your phone, tv, computers etc. Gew and the staff have always helped myself and my family therefore We have been customers for many years now. Their customer service is great and the prices can’t be beat. Definitely recommend it to friends.

GewTV is simply Amazing! I have been using them for the last 7 years and its nice to know they are not another fly by night business that will come and go. They helped me 7 years ago when I was a student and they helped me today fix my iPhone 8 plus screen while i was visiting friends in the Guelph area.

Always helpful and dedicated to helping even when you don't require any services. I'm thankful for the spent 30 minutes looking at my pixel trying to uncover the issue, to find out that my carrier was trying to force me into an early upgrade by claiming faulty hardware problems. Needed an iPhone battery replaced, and more work was involved than originally anticipated. I wasn't charged any extra, and phone now works perfectly. Thanks for the great service, will be coming back in the future for any other repairs.

They place ads on Kijiji and when you reply to their ad they read it and send no response. Why place your ad then if you're not going to respond to a simple question? Their loss, oh well.

Brought my iPhone 6 here last week to repair my broken screen as I've came here three months before for a repair and their prices were reasonable, quick and flawless. My recent experience was different however. When I got my phone back recently, there was liquid marks under the LCD screen and my antenna was damaged. Currently, my phone shows "searching" instead of my carrier and i'm unable to call or text anyone. This place is either a hit or miss, bunch of idiot jokes

Its was great to find a public mobile authorized dealer in guelph. I was able to get help with my prepaid cell phone plan and topup.

THIS PLACE SCREWED ME OVER! Im a student so I'm obviously short on cash and I payed $150 to get my phone battery replaced and screen repaired which they replaced the screen but put a defective battery in which was worse than my old one. Later that day, my screen went grey and I couldn't use the phone, which didn't even matter because the phone was useless and dying in under an hour anyways. So I brought it back and they informed me that they "didn't have any batteries and were waiting for a shipment to come in" SO THEY KNEW THE WHOLE TIME THAT THEY PUT A DEFECTIVE BATTERY IN AND DIDN'T TELL ME. Naturally I asked for a refund and said I would go elsewhere and they wouldn't do a refund but said they would replace it again. And once again they put in ANOTHER DEFECTIVE BATTERY. This place really screwed me over and Im down $150 which really sucks. These people do not have any integrity and I feel like I was taken advantage of because I don't seem like a tech savvy person. I would highly suggest to not go here EVER.

I work for a property management company and we take all our company new iphone XS Max, XS, and XR there. They even did water damage on my macbook pro which I need data recovery on since it was sitting around for a few months. My mac is working great now

I came to gewtv after reading the good and bad reviews, not like other places that have all 5 stars reviews it has to make you think if they are real or fake, I found the the store with lots of parking at Backer St lot no problem with parking, I went downstairs< The place looked nice I got the same price when i phoned for a screen repair, It was ready when they told me to come back, Very happy customer.
