GFL Orangeville - Dufferin Transfer Station

Have been waiting here for over half an hour just to back in and dump. No trucks ahead just 2 guys inside trying to clear a jam on the compactor and tons of room to dump in the rest of the building. Gfl truck come and dump but non company trucks wait. Great girls in the scale house but the yard management is poor at best

What can I say? It's a dump but they are very well organized and even as busy as it was, they were very efficient at getting people in and out as quickly and as safely as they can!

Checked website for hours of operation, 7am to 5pm.
I load up my van with storm damage debris and other household waste, arrive at site to see a cardboard sign with smeared marker on fence with notice " no garbage". Ok, i will ask at booth.
Woman in booth was of no help.
Seems the facility can take large garbage trucks all day, but not a homeowner/taxpayer trying to dispose storm damage broken glass waste into a bin.by our own labour.
What is going on?

Horrible with a perception of inexperience and lethargy. This facility takes a 20 minute wait to get in and a 20 minute wait to get out. It took me, not even, 2 minutes to unload. You are not waiting because it is busy. You are waiting because there is only ONE scale for all vehicles coming in and out. What a joke. Will not be returning.

Staff is great, everyone is so helpful and friendly. They need a second scale and perhaps cover some of their gigantic potholes.

Seems weird to call a recycling depot a great place but it is. The young lady who greets you at the weight scale always smiles and is happy. Plus the same on leaving.

This is a poorly designed facility. Only one scale for incoming/outgoing traffic. Large garbage trucks should have a separate entrance and dumping area.

Way too slow. Just a terrible set up. One scale for everyone? Follow Halton model. Small loads pay on entrance then dump and leave. It’s been 45min to drop 3 bags and I’m still in line….

I would recommend anyone else who needs their business to go there.

Needs a 2nd scale to weigh vehicles. They're always busy - lineups to weigh in and weigh out. Go earlier to avoid waiting in line

The line to get in seemed longer than should be. Feel like entry/exit could be better set up. But staff are very friendly.

Very busy, yet well organized. All traffic moving on their yard seemed very organized. Polite and friendly individuals.

I have been to many dumps before and this one is by far the most expensive. First and last time. It's costs like a Cadillac but looks like a Gremlin.

For getting rid of tree branches, is a rip off as is mulch when done, but they want you to pay by weight, just dumb. Thanks Amaranth Township

What a colossal waste of time this place is. Seriously, a single weigh scale for incoming and outgoing traffic!? And then I have to waste everyone else's time getting out of my vehicle while it's on the scale to go inside to pay. The staff here is great and I know they're doing their best with what they've got, but how 'bout GFL ponies up and puts a little money into the efficiency of this place!

I have made several runs to this facility. The staff are friendly and the pricing is reasonable - we are lucky to have such a place to get rid of our garbage or items we no longer want

Even when there’s a lineup I’m still usually in and out in 20 minutes

It is a transfer station that depending on the time of day can be very busy going over the scale, weekends are the worst. They do accept all of the stuff I have ever brought there from electronics, to brush to actual garbage. The prices I find for disposal are quite reasonable and they have a well laid out premise.
