Firstly, it's a takeout place. However, you get a two-seater bench if you want a sit-out. Don't expect any amenities other than plates, spoons and tissues.
Compared with Hyderabad biryani, this would be much less spicy and subtle in flavour.
Ask Spicy to feel some kick.
I was a bit disappointed as the rice flavour was plainer and didn't take the chicken or biryani spices or masala flavour.
I visited this store for food yesterday (sunday). Food was really awesome. I ordered chicken tikka biryani and chicken botu paratha. Both food was really tasty.
Few days back i just randomly went to this place to try their food! I actually did a good thing- the food was so good. Tried chicken biryani and boti kabab roll as suggested by the guy who was at the counter. The taste and quantity was exceptional. Their biryani is lajawaab! I would definitely visit this place again to try other items on the menu. Highly recommend
I love this place. They have the best biryani in Toronto at a reasonable price. The owners are incredibly nice and friendly. You won't regret going here, trust me!
We have been to this place several times and always had excellent food. This is our go to biriyani place and the service is also too good. With their food they make our tummy and heart full.
I got chicken biryani and butter chicken. The biryani was ok but the butter chicken was not fresh. Also, I have upset stomach now which is why I am writing this review. The service was good though.
I have been here at this restaurant for almost 20 years. I am buying biryani and boti with chicken and eggs I started tasting his food in 2003. Biryani and boti are among the best in town. The owner has been a wonderful person since the day until now. He is very polite and always asks about you and your family. If you want to taste the best biryani, please visit here.
Someone recommended me for the chicken biryani so i tried. I was very much disappointed. By saving one dollar there is no reason to get that. Rice quality was low, extra spice and found no reason to eat it. I dont want to save a dollar to eat this.
My friend and I have had a great experience at Ghareeb Nawaz restaurant. The owner Mr Muneer was very helpful when we first walked into this place, not just with the delish food but also in general with life in Toronto. I have had the best gulab jamuns here and the best biryani ever. Good vibes, love the food and great customer service.
The food was better than expected and one of the sweetest owner I have came across. And the hospitality was excellent. I would definitely come back especially for the Chicken Boti and Chai.
Bought a Chicken Tikka Biryani, the quantity and packaging is awesome but the food was bland - didn’t have any spices that biryanis are supposed to be rich in…. It was more like rice with lot of food colouring.
This place was amazing. The food was reasonably priced with great portions. Omar was very nice and helpful the whole time, gave good recommendations. Definitely will come again!
My favourite Biryani. The owners are amazing people. I love their food. The Best paratha roll in town. You will never get better than this roll. Must try
I had chicken and will Biriyani they have sumptuous quantity. The guy at the counter was what is generous to give me extra chutneys. I like the price also it was $20 for two biryanis which would be enough for at least four people. You can try
Their tagline says 'best biriyani in town'. However this is one of the worst biriyanis in Toronto. The rice and chicken pieces have almost no flavor. Also their butter chicken is too sweet and hence it too does not taste good. Avoid this place at all costs
We got the butter chicken with chapati and beef biriyani. Portions and flavors were really good, and it was fairly cheap. Only issue was that the biriyani came with little to no meat, but was still really good. I advise getting a meat on the side with any of the rice dishes.
We were craving chicken rolls and found this place nearby. We ordered chiken rolls and butter chicken and were disappointed in the taste. Chicken rolls were so dry as it was just a partha with chicken and no sauce or onions/lettuce. It would make a huge difference if they start using sauces in their boti rolls.
Butter chicken was also a disappointment as the taste was so off. I love butter chicken but this was not upto the mark.
One of the greater Biryani to be found in Toronto. I will say it is a "Must Try" because of how generous and genuine the Owner Munir is. Just a great guy to know and speak with. The prices are very very fair for the quantity of food and the meat. Everything is cooked evenly and with much love. You will not regret!
This is by far one of my favourite restaurants to buy chicken biryani from. It’s super affordable and extremely delicious. The owners are awesome and super easy going if you ask for extra spice or extra sauce they will give it with a smile. I have been going there for the last 6-7 years now and I have never been disappointed with the food and the standards they hold. Thank you for still continuing to serve our community with delicious and authentic food!
I love this place. I love the quality and freshness of the food they serve. The owner is so nice and kind. You can buy food from any restaurant but to get food served with love is something different.
Order a tray of chicken biryani for 15 people. Food quality and taste was great. The owner is the most generous person I have ever met in Canada. It was my first time and he was so kind to make the experience better and he put couple add-ons free of cost. Must try!
One of my favorite places in Toronto! Delicious food, (my favorite is their Chicken Biryani), amazing prices, and portions! Family owned business with great service; they truly care about their customers. They have won over my loyalty, been eating here for over 10 years. Check them out!
The wraps and boneless chicken biryani is awesome. The owner is also very friendly. The wait times might be a little longer hence preordering and picking up the order is the best
Food quality: average. Price: over priced compare to quality. Customer service: good. Parking area: very limited.
We recently had chicken Biryani at this place. Not quite sure why people ranked it so highly. I have had better in many other restaurant in scarborough. If I fair value their biriyani, I would not want to pay more than 4.99 for it.
We also tried their Butter chicken. Was good, but nothing outstanding that would force me to visit them again.
But worse of all, parking outside the store was very congusted. They need to do something about it if possible.
Amazing food, as well as amazing service. The food tasted authentic and the portions were very generous. The tea and mango lassi was also very good. I will be coming again!
Large tummy-filling size of the rolls. The meat is well marinated and the paratha is a traditional paratha not a puri, which is the best part of the roll! Highly recommended. Also, the mango drink is made of genuine pakistani mangos!
The food was fresh and spice level was okay. Butter chicken was good but bbq paratha roll and biryani were fail. Paratha roll had some wierd taste, the oil they used on bbq chicken or in paratha was not fresh. Biryani rice were undercooked and had so much oil that I could have taken out 2 tablespoon of oil from bottom of the container.
Their Naans were soft but size is very small. Will definitely not be going there again.
One of the best places, drove all the way from ottawa to try and honestly it was the best, the owner was helping us and he gave us discounts and gave us free mango shake.if you live in the area you need to come down here and try it, you won’t regret it
For sure this the cashier was high. I ordered 2 biryani waited for 15 minutes. This man show up with one biryani asking me to wait for other 20 minutes to get the 2nd one.
I ordered the Hyderabadi biriyani. The service was pretty quick and so was the portion. I felt it lacked a little salt, but it might have been just a one-time thing. But nevertheless, it totally deserves the 4 stars.
First time here and the service and food is absolutely amazing. The owner is so kind and welcoming, the prices are very affordable and the taste is authentic. Definitely stop by this lovely Indian/Pakistani biryani spot if you’re ever in scarborough!
I've been visiting Ghareeb Nawaz for around 15 years now. Food is excellent and affordable. The best part is customer service, the owner is humble & down to earth who is always trying to provide good service. I highly recommend this place for Pakistani/Indian take out.
The food was amazing. I was having a bad day and the guy at the counter was amazing he gave everything that he could to make me happy eventhough im a stranger and he doesnt know me still offer help and i hope people around us would be like him. A little kindness can go along way. Thanks brother much respect! Ill definetly comeback here when im okay and ill give you a hug!
My name is Asad Farooqui, I travel from Ajax all the way here just to taste their amazing biryani. Hands down one of the best biryani spots in Toronto.
Never tasted such a good beef biryani. Go for beef Biryani. Rice and beef pieces were excellent, never tasted like this in Toronto. Chicken lover must try there chicken biryani
Really flavorful and inexpensive Pakistani food! Love the biryani so its all I order. The service is always fast and friendly; it also helps that the staff are absolute eye candy everything here looks tasty
Great food and worth the buck. Happy to find home style thin wheat based paratha not frozen ones fried. However few of my paratha were slightly undercooked. Hopefully better paratha next time.
I purchased two orders of chucken biryani. One the moment the other for lunch the following day. It was so good i ate both by bed time. Luckily its affordable cause i'll be going back for more to try the rest of the menu.
Regular customer of this Restaurant. One of the best Biriyani anyone can get in here. And chicken paratha roll and burger taste were also great! Personal Rating: 9 out of 10
Their chicken biryani is very nice. The owner is very friendly and really cares for the customers. I ordered chicken biryani and little of it was left so I asked for a take out container. The owner not only gave me take out container but also added more of biryani to it when he found that there was little biryani left on my plate.
It’s not clean inside the restaurant I buy two briyiani and one kabob roll for my family when we go for it eat we saw 2 big cockroach in the briyiani? It’s not cheap to buy and eat with cockroaches I will never ever go there
