If You Live In Brampton, Mississauga or Caledon They Will Refuse You Service

I called them earlier today to get an estimate for a pool and landscaping. Provided all my details including my address.

Shortly after I received an email that as a Brampton resident I was being denied service due to the pandemic. I'm presently in the grey zone and so is Toronto where they're located, however I've been told they want to protect their workers by limiting the area where they work. So they will work a grey zone only if it's in Toronto but not anywhere else? None of this makes sense and is a complete farce. Science does not support this.

Furthermore, there are social distancing restrictions in place for this very reason. This is also implying that I would have been within 6 feet of their workers during which time they're operating heavy equipment and all without a mask. Seriously?

Clearly, there's more to this and the pandemic is being used to discriminate against potential clients that don't fit their criteria. Absolutely disgusting!

Answer to their reply. You're now back peddling. Let the consumers decide.

This is an exact quote from your email.

"We are not currently servicing the Brampton area at this time. Due to restrictions imposed on our team by Covid-19 we have reduced our service distance temporarily to accommodate and protect our staff.  "

Their response does not address what was stated in their email. If your busy I understand and thats very common, I get it. Your email clearly states it's due to restrictions imposed by covid-19 and to protect your staff. As a result, you have decided to single out Brampton. Nowhere in their original email was it mentioned that they aren't taking on new business. Covid is being used to justify their discriminatory practices. If you can't take on new business then simply state that in your email.

I had the pleasure of working with their team and they are detail oriented, friendly and conscientious and I would work with them again in a heartbeat.

As a content creator I've been an associate of Gib-San Pools for nearly a year now and I must say that they're at the pinnacle of not only the obvious, the pool design game, but equally and possibly more importantly, their team culture and customer service.
I think few out there come into direct contact with their team on a weekly basis (who isn't a partial employee) as I do. I've seen them nitpick over details and witnessed some group deliberations over the process on the job to be certain things are done correctly. Corners are not cut. There doesn't seem to be any 'ah just leave it, it's good enough' on their teams like I've definitely witnessed elsewhere.
Whether you're in contact with those in the field digging out the pool itself, to the office with designers or at the retail store looking for a float or cleaning product. I think you'd be hard pressed to find anything but a smiling face and knowledgable professionals.

Wow! Im so pleased with how our pool turned out! You definitely get what you pay for. I didn't want just a hole in the ground, I wanted a conversation piece and work of art and thats exactly what I got. From design to plaster, this company was highly knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Im very impressed and will be referring anyone I can to them!

The owner, Ed, is truly invested in every project and the everyday workings of the company! By the time the pool is finished, they feel like family. Update: I was contacted by the owner who made every effort to fix the issues we had, and was sincerely apologetic. Ed truly cares about his customers, their safety, and the reputation of his company.
I recommend Gib-San Pools, but would suggest dealing directly with Gib-San, not going through a contractor if that's the case.
