Sarah is the who helped us when our father passed and she did and exceptional job in making this transition easier for us and she also had the most amazing personality as well

They do such an amazing job and the staff there are very friendly and helpful in your time of need.

Sarah made my life easier, dealing with the arrangements. She was sweet kind, and always available for asking questions. She was also concerned for my feeling. The co workers were just a peaceful and nice.

I was a mess my mother was all l had in life and having pre arranged funeral was the best idea ever. I was nervous of the care that giffen and mack would give but l was amazed at the personal care and attention l got it ws remarkable. It was so quick having had a prearranged funeral done but the care during the viewing time and service time and cemetary time was so personal they were there for me and my family as if we were all that mattered. Than you giffen and mack for your caring and remarkable service.

I would definitely recommend having any service for your loved ones at this funeral. They make the whole process easier to deal with while your grieving and go out of there way to help you accomplish things on your behalf. We contacted the Giffen-Mack and Trull team during holidays and got the response and support we needed right away. The team handled preparation and the service with care and understanding, accommodating all our requests and making sure we could properly say goodbye to the one we love. We also appreciated suggestions that made it easy to make necessary decisions and allowed our service to be special and personalized. Especially noticeable was care that the team demonstrated throughout the process.

I was at the funeral home for a viewing and I saw the staff talking to some of the family members with great compassion and respect. However, for the funeral service, the technical issues that happened was a disappointment. There was no sound. Yes, we can go back later and watch, that is not the point. You want to be there at the same time watching with others and hearing the sound. It is very heartbreaking.

Sarah Ashley took care of us during our visit. We didn't know an appointment was required, but the team at Giffen-Mack and Trull were really accommodating, and had us set up in a timely manner. Thank you.

We would like to thank Lindsay Baird and her team at Giffen-Mack and Trull for arranging my son Elijah's final service and cremation. Lindsay provided our family with such care and made the most difficult experience, smoother. She was well prepared and provided us with options for our son's service and cremation. She went over how the process works and answered our many questions gently and respectfully. When her facility couldn't accommodate the requested service dates, Lindsay took quick action to find a facility that had an opening. She transferred the documents and worked with us to ensure the requirements were met. We were so pleased with the urn and ts details that Lindsay suggested. A big heartfelt thank you to SarahAshley and the entire staff at Giffen-Mack. Everyone kept thanking me for all the work and effort I put into arranging such a beautiful service for my father when really it was SarahAshley who handled all of the details. My dad was a diehard Leafs fan and when we told her that we would like him to be wearing a jersey for the viewing she suggested we make it a Leaf themed funeral. At least half of our guests showed up in Leafs apparel and some people even went home to change. It was so fitting for my dad, I think he would’ve gotten a kick out of it. There were so many smiles amidst the tears and it was a beautiful way to honor my dad. Thank you so much Giffen-Mack.

We recently used the services of Giffen-Mack on the Danforth for my father's Celebration of Life. All of the staff from the administration, to the catering staff were extremely helpful, respectful, and so pleasant to deal with, making the day so much less stressful.

Sara-Ashley went above and beyond for my family through a tragic loss. She and the staff were so compassionate and understanding to what we wanted. We had specific colours on a special blanket and when we entered the room, it all matched the theme we mentioned and the colours of that special blanket. In addition when we went to pick up the cremation, they had another special room set-up for us. It was a great service through the most difficult time.
In addition, Sara-Ashley kept in touch and informed us of all transportation moves of our person in care.

Our family has used Giffen-Mack over the years for our funeral needs. I know things have
changed over the years, it is more of a business now, but the staff make all the difference. They are very kind and considerate of your special needs. It takes a special kind of person to be able to do this job and it is a job, but I think the staff, Lindsay, Rachel and all the rest that I have spoken to over the phone are the right people to do this.
This is not something that most people would even want to talk about but let's face it, death is apart of life. We are all going to go at some point in time and I would feel more comfortable knowing that my family will be taken care of
properly during this time of need.
I I will be making sure that my family knows that I will be using Giffen-Mack and Trull for my funeral services when my time comes.

I have been to many funerals at Giffen-Mack. This is the first time I have been very disappointed with Giffen-Mack. The woman who affected the service fumbled and stumbed throughout the service. But worst is that the woman called Jose's only daughter by the wrong name not once but twice. At the end of the service family and friends were gathered to say their finally good bye to Jose. When an employee to yell into the chapel are they gone.

My Mother and I had a very positive experience. I was able to reach the funeral home easily. I never felt that I was guessing on what the next step was going to be. They were really good at keeping track of everything that needed to be done. We do not feel that there are any loose ends and we are not concerned that any details were missed. We are very thankful to have had your team to work with us in this very trying and distracting time.

Staff was Friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Establishment was clean.
Provided me with all the necessary info l needed to make this experience go very smoothly. Thank You.

The teams deserves 5 plus stars sadly the head office thinks it is appropriate 3 weeks after my family received amazing care by the staff to send a survey and ask for a comment btw I left a glowing one 2 weeks ago. Now you guys get this embarrassment. You got 3 stars instead of 1 for this review. Because of your incredible team. A survey for a funeral than ask for a comment. You were already given one. Please stop with the survey they truly taint the wonderful experience I had. A very disappointed Molly Brown a second time customer. Please stop with the survey beyond tacky.

Ashley and all other staff were kind, friendly, and informative throughout the entire process. They went above and beyond to assist me while also consoling me along the way.

Staff was professional, friendly, compassionate, patient, caring, thoughtful, thorough and helpful. Many options were available, but organized in such a way as to not be overwhelming. They gave you plenty of time to decide, did not make you feel rushed even though they were busy. Attention to details was amazing. Follow up was good, returned calls quickly and easy to get a hold of to answer any questions you may have.

I lost my dad and was very lost on what to do. I started to call different funeral homes to find out prices. After calling a few places I called Sarah Ashley from Giffen-Mack and Trull. She not only answered all my questions but she also gave me a feeling of comfort and peace of mind. I called a few more funeral homes but I turned back and called Sarah who went above and beyond to help my family and I through our tough time. Her coworker Rachel was also a great help. Thank you is not enough to describe my appreciation. I recommend this funeral home to anyone who has lost a loved one. They are one of if not the best funeral home! My mother Called to make arrangements for my father who unfortunately passed away. Brian was very money hungry and unsympathetic towards my mother, as he needed us to pay for the entire funeral first before making arrangements to pick my father up from the hospital. Although due to a covid 19 exposure this could not be done for the next two weeks. Although I understand the restrictions, it appeared very heartless towards our family and appeared like all they cared about was money and would not be willing to take a deposit to confirm our spot. Brian was also supposed to send my mother information via email but never followed up. This created an extremely stressful experience for my mother during a time that is already so traumatic. We decided to go with another funeral home and are already so much more impressed with the level of compassion and care they have showed towards my mother during this time. They made a very challenging time even more stressful and sad. Heartless and not how a funeral home should be.

Sarah’s kindness and attention to detail turned a very difficult experience into a special and memorable event that honoured my husband’s life and brought us peace.

This was my first experience and I had a lot on my plate but I just want to say Sarah was beyond phenomenal! I can’t thank her and the team more than enough for all their support and help. I loved how Sarah cared for my family and I, especially my Nana who’s very fragile! She was AMAZING with my Nana, so attentive and made sure she was ok at any given time. This was incredibly hard for me as my Uncle was like my father. She even played his favourite band The Rolling Stones before the “send off” and after for him. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was smooth and easy for us. I anticipated the whole thing and expected it not to go so well, but Sarah and her team made sure it was perfect and it couldn’t of been done any better than it turned out! I can say I was very pleased and felt such relief knowing how well my Uncle was taken care of at the funeral home!

My family and I are very grateful to Giffen-Mack Danforth, particularly Brian and Sarah. We were treated with such compassion and understanding, in person, over the phone, email, during a difficult time but especially now, compounded by the pandemic. Their professionalism and above all, their kindness and accommodation will always be remembered and appreciated more than words can ever say.

This Funeral Home who is suppose to he there to help you in the time of need talks a good game at the time but in the end was sloppy in their completion of important paperwork. The extra grief caused by their sloppiness was not appreciated by the family, nor was it necessary.

I have nothing but good things to say about this funeral home. We called them when a family member sadly died suddenly and unexpectedly in our house, and I had seen this place from passing by. Honestly, all our interactions and dealings with them were very positive (i mean, as positive as they can be.). We first met them when they (two individuals-not sure their names, a man and a woman) came to the house late at night to collect the body. After dealing with the coroner, police, etc, the people from Giffen-Mack were a breathe of fresh air. They were so kind, considerate, and appropriately sensitive in such a horrible/tragic/traumatic situation. After that we dealt with them at their funeral home. They were so good and I appreciated that they didn't push to try to upsell us. I highly recommend them and personally, I would definitely go back to this funeral home again. *knocks on wood*

Michael Kessel was excellent to deal with at such a difficult time. He was very compassinate and understanding. We would and actually have recommended him to a friend since we were there. My brother suddenly passed away at 34 that being one of the worst things I’ve had to endure and not to mention during the pandemic of Covid 19. Sarah was so compassionate and answered every question I had even I called her 4 times in one day. She was so wonderful to my family and for something that was one of the worst things in my life she definitely made it as easy as possible and was just an all around sweetheart! I lost my mom on January 21 2020. She was my best friend through all the heart ache and pain I was left alone to deal with her funeral arrangements with little to no help from my family. Michael at Giffen Mack was such a big help.this isn’t the first time I’ve met Michael as I have put together a lot of funerals at Giffen and Mack with his help, that’s why this time for the most important person in my life I just knew I needed his help. He (Michael) went above and beyond for my family as he has always done for me in the past. Our wants and needs for our dear dad's cremation were very basic: we wanted cremation, and execution of paperwork, and his remains cared for. To list those directives so clinically sounds so very cold, but - and I cannot stress this highly enough - despite our very basic wants, we were treated with utmost respect.

Everything was explained thoroughly and alternatives were presented, and a potentially very stressful time was made much less frightening for us.

Dignity Memorial will be a part of our lives (and deaths, sadly) for a while now, based on our experience.
