I have never had a facial in my life but I'm getting married and now I'm really self conscious how my face looks. Had 2 consultations and both recommended the RMD treatment. I did one treatment and spent all weekend crying because I have 12 new lines across my face and my top lip is puckered. One spot is so prominent it looks like a knife scar. So upset and no idea what to do now I look worse. I can't believe I did this! They were kind enough to meet with me 4 days later, but did not stand close enough to me to even look at my skin to see the 12 lines I was referring to. They gave me a serum to see if it could help.but basically told me I was lying as no way the lines were new and I must not have noticed them before. That felt insulting. As if I don't know my own face, and my entire family in my house noticed the new lines! I will never do a spa treatment anywhere again. As for my wedding.haven't figured that out yet.

I always have a great experience at Gina’s! All the staff and service providers are professional, knowledgeable and great at what they do. I love the new location too, the atmosphere is beautiful and trendy while still being relaxing and calm.

Last week, I came to Gina’s for an eyebrow lamination.my tech let me know it comes with a complementary colouring. I let her know that if she’s going to do that too, please not go so dark, because I am very blonde, and I always worry about my eyebrows being too dark. Long story short, I came out with black eyebrows and cried the whole weekend because of this experience. Lamination went well and I am happy about that but I don’t know why she thought it would be a good idea to tint my eyebrows this dark.

It was my first time there and I had a great experience. My esthetician, Mackenzie was very nice and she did a great job. She was very gentle and knowledgable and she recommended some skin care products at the end of my facial which was great. I’m looking forward to go back there for my next facial.

Extremely poor communication about their new location and even worse customer service at the new location. I was 5 minutes late because of the location mix up so they took a client before me and didn't seem apologetic about it all. I had to leave because I didn't want to be late for another appointment. Disappointed because I've spent a lot of money there over the years and expected them to be a little more accommodating.

Gina's has been around forever and I know why. They are fantastic! The estheticians are great, I had an exceptional one. Best service I've ever had.
Yes, it can be costly but the products they use and the expertise offered are wonderful. Friendly and knowledgeable staff and a beautiful new building make this place worth visiting.
Side note- I went to Gina's school about a million years ago and am happy to see that they are still thriving. Gina's personal story is uplifting and inspiring and her daughters are doing a great job at staying current and furthering the business.

I went to various beauty centres to get the detailed service I was looking for and my expectation could not be met.then, a friend of mine recommended gina's. I was there last week and I can say that ginas is the best of all the beauty centers I have ever been to. Both the service I received and the approach of the employees left me in awe. Professionals understand exactly what you want and treat you in accordance, without rushing their work.they also offer practical advice on your needs during the service. It's been over a week and I've received countless compliments so far. It’s guaranteed that heads will turn. Quality is never an accident.

My husband and I went for Essential Pedicures, which are advertised to be approximately 60 min in length. Mine was 50 min and his was only 40. When I mentioned it at reception, the response was that 60 min is allotted in case your pedicure takes longer. Not impressed.

I had a terrible facial experience yesterday. First of all the person performing my service was sick and I am currently pregnant which made my experience not relaxing. My hour long facial didn't use the full time. As part of the facial I got my eyebrows waxed, she took my eyebrows! I've never had them this thin in my entire life and she over waxed the center, it is going to take me a long time to grow these back. The "massage" was very disappointing and the scalp one just formed knots in my hair. The

This was not my first facial nor my first facial at Gina's. Extremely disappointed and hope that I don't get sick from it.

Unfortunately this was my first and last time at Gina’s spa. I called a month in advance to book in my essential manicure and foot and leg spa therapy. At this time I advised I have shellac on my toes that will need to be removed. On this call, I asked how long the appt would take and they said about 2 hours. I show up to my appointment and they only have me booked in for an hour and it was only for an essential manicure. I advised that I booked for essential manicure, foot and leg spa therapy and shellac removal and the person I spoke with told me it would be 2 hours. The person at the front desk advised they would try to squeeze me in for all of that.

I was then taken back by someone who did my manicure. This manicure job was extremely bumpy and already had some imperfections when it was complete. Including shellac around my nails on my skin. She then told me she would go get my invoice. I had to tell her that I still had a pedicure.

I was then taken upstairs to have my pedicure. After waiting a couple minutes I was sitting in the chair and the lady asked if I had shellac on my toes (I have now already advised I need shellac removed on the phone call and at the front when I arrived). I advised I would need it removed. She then tells me that she was not informed I had shellac on my toes and that she may not have time for the foot and leg spa therapy because of this. The shellac job on my toes was better than my manicure, but certainly not worth the price with all of the small imperfections. I ended up telling this person that I would just stick with the essential pedicure. Near the end of the appt, the person told me there would be time for the leg and foot spa therapy but I had to decline as I had now been at Gina’s spa for 2 hours and 20 minutes and I had other obligations to attend to. I was anticipating this appt to be around 2 hours as I was informed on my first call.

To add to all of this, my fingers nails started chipping and peeling off within 2 days of having been completed. With the lack of communication at this place, the poor quality of shellac application and the shellac not even being able to last more than 2 days, I would not recommend this place to anyone. $170 for the pedicure and manicure was not worth it at all. I booked this in 2 days before I left for my week long honeymoon and I am extremely disappointed this job did not even last my full week away.

Staff at the front desk were wonderful (5 stars to them). I was however, very disappointed with my maternity massage today. I adjusted my position during the massage multiple times trying to get comfortable but finally couldn't handle it anymore. I mentioned that the maternity bed was very uncomfortable for me and asked if there was a different position I could lie in and was told no, not this bed. I then explained that I was in pain and wouldn't be able to last a whole hour. I was told she can shorten it to 40mins, which I agreed would be best and struggled through the rest of the massage trying to hold myself up to relieve some pressure on my back. After some time, I was told our time was up and found myself at my car by 1: 05pm.my appointment began at 12: 30 but paid for 40mins. Being 9mos pregnant I know it took more than 5mins for me to put my clothes on, pay and walk to my car in the back and even still was only 30mins rather than 40. Feeling a bit taken advantage of. So disappointed as this place was recommended.

So i wanted to order a hand therapy package for a gift online which was supposed to be $55 dollars plus tax but when i went to the checkout it was $65 plus tax.so.i just cancelled the order.keep your prices up to date.i will not place any orders if you cannot keep your website accurate.

There are a number of qualified people at Gina's. I am more than satisfied with Julia for a number of services. She is highly qualified and a long time 'member' of the spa.

My experience for facial was awful. She applied 10 different products but didn’t give massage for more than a minute. I went for my birthday special and they didn’t even get my blackheads off or eyebrow. Really bad experience.

Did not enjoy my experience getting my hair done here. I was booked in for a partial highlight. My hair dresser was 30 minutes late to my apt. She had another client booked in during my service and left me sitting with wet cold hair at the sink for 30 minutes while she assisted her other client. I ended up being at the salon for 3 hours for a partial highlight (I don’t even have that much hair). I was also not consulted about the colour of the toner or the price. I did not like the toner she selected. The price I was quoted also did not match the price I paid which was upsetting. $40 more than I was quoted for. Not sure how that happened.

The RMT showed up 15 minutes late.

I was very disappointed as they started the massage off by doing static touches with one hand and were texting on their phone with the other. It was completely unprofessional, and I was appalled that someone would think this is acceptable.

They ended the massage by pinching my shoulders, and left me feeling worse than when I came.

I was debating whether or not to write a review but I'm still ticked. I booked a 30m massage, got a reciept from the RMT and an apology that we went 10m over. I go upstairs and they charged me for a 40m massage! That's really unfair. I was not happy! On top of that, after arriving I confirmed 30m massage and after the overcharge they claimed it was on the computer for 40. Unethical money grab. I don't think any other RMT would charge for their mistake! It's not like the client is watching the clock. This has never happened anywhere else.

Flawless. My esthetician Julia made this the best experience I could have possibly hoped for. I have struggled with hormonal acne and numerous skincare allergies for many years, but Julia's meticulous (yet as gentle as possible) extractions absolutely transformed my skin. She customized my entire treatment to suit my sensitivities, and always made me feel very comfortable (even though I'm quite nervous around needles!). More than that, she gave me very helpful and informative advice on my skincare and diet.

More about the extractions: It is unpleasant in the moment, but it WORKS. I wasn't really sure what to expect (as I had never had extractions before), and for the first few days after the treatment I was really questioning myself - my face was bright red and inflamed! But you just need to heavily moisturize and have faith in the process - on the morning of the third day I woke up and my face GLOWED. All of my breakouts were gone, and my skin looked tightened and fresh. I think it even helped with my acne scarring! It's now been more than a week, and my skin has just continued to improve as time has gone on.

I highly recommend Julia to anyone looking to boost their skincare routine. She is truly a skincare guru.

Got a gift card for a massage for my birthday so I went there the day of. I did aroma therapy and it was amazing, therefore I gave the therapist tips. Then I went to the counter and used my gift card and paid tax, but knowing that I already paid tips to the therapist, I didn’t pay tips at the reception. Somehow the receptionist got so rude after and walked away from me when I asked if I can go in the coat room to grab my coat. She totally ruined my trip to Gina’s and I won’t be coming back in the future.

Walked in, the person at reception completely ignored me for several minutes, didn't even say "Hi, I'll be with you in a few minutes. " I don't want to sound picky, but it just seemed like a rude start. Went upstairs for a facial, the girl did a good job on extractions, but did leave me alone more frequently than I have had with 1hr facials at other places. She really didn't seem knowledgeable (especially about the products). At the end, she put eye cream on my eye LIDS. Throughout the day, the cream worked its way into my eyes, which proceeded to sting for several hours, even with washing my eyes out. Eye cream should only go below the eye, never on the eye lids. Will not be returning.

Went for waxing and really liked the experience. Semera is very nice and professional. The place is relatively fancy and that reflects in their prices but services seem modern and so do all their supplies.

Used to be my favorite place but the caliber of the Junior stylests has dropped considerablly.

I got a cut a few weeks ago and it was like she didnt did anything and then when i got a fix yesterday its uneven and when i put it up i have random strands that are an inch longer than the rest. Never coming back.

The young lady on front desk yesterday needs a lesson on customer service. Very cold, unfriendly and unwelcoming. I felt like I walked into a tense & negative space. A few ladies were behind the desk gossiping and it just made my first impression very negative. From the first greeting to the payment, the young girl on cash appeared she either did not want to be there, or I was inconveniencing her. I won't be returning unfortunately because I came here to get away from a negative space. I assumed a 'spa' was the appropriate place to feel relaxed.

I have been a happy customer at Gina's for years. Their staff are friendly and professional and the facilities are very relaxing. I had a bad haircut with one of their beginner stylists a few years ago, but I've had great experiences with several of their massage therapists and manicurists.

Love Gina's. All stylists, aestheticians and RMTs are very skilled and professional with that extra Gina's touch, going that extra mile for their clients. I always know I am in good hands and get positively recharged. The spa has remarkable history in the city, founded in 1964, it is still owned by the same family. One of the first of it's kind in Canada. Always a pleasure, highly recommend it for a new hair style, facial, massage or even a day of pampering.

I went here for the first time for a pedicure and I will not be returning. The girl who gave me a pedicure never even asked if I was allergic to almond oil (all the other employes asked their clients) she just put it on. Then she rushed off and left me in the chair so she could get to her next appointment. And she never came back. And when I got home I noticed she didn't even fully paint 3 of my nails! I'm not sure why this place was highly recommended, and at $70 for a pedicure that was the same as I've had in a non spa setting is insane. Would not recommend and will not be returning.

I would give 1 star but the woman who did my pedicure was lovely! However, the staff doing my manicure wasnt very personable and the quality of both manicure and pedicure was horrible! For $130 (and a special polish they told me would last longer) I was shocked when the next day 3 of my toes had completely chipped. They fixed it for free which was nice but then 2 days later my toes were chipped again and my nails also chipped. I didnt even bother wasting my time to go back. For the price I would expect much higher quality. Especially since the girl doing my nails bragged to me about how they are better than all the other salons.

The atmosphere is lovely and staff are pleasant. However the quality of service has gone down hill. I came in for a facial with my friend on a Monday morning. The staff used to offer a cappucino/beverage nothing was offered. Perhaps they dont do that anymore? I had the european facial and the esthetician did maybe 6 extractions (even though I told her blackheads were a big concern)

She left the room 3 times to let me relax which is fine but Im paying for a 60 minute facial which is really more like 40ish minutes.
Will not return.

A little expensive, however I was very satisfied with my updo! My prom hair turned out beautiful and Paige was very kind and clearly knew what she was doing! The hair held all day and even after swimming later that night! Great choice for an elegant, classy updo!

Got a Brazilian here. I have had over a dozen in my life and this was by far the most painful.
I don't know what she did wrong, but it hurt like hell, and I was left very prickly due to breakage. She also missed several patches and went over and over the same areas, taking about a half hour. I have never had a wax take more than 20min.

I have medium-fine, fairly light hair. From the moment I laid on the table, the woman was aggressively trying to sell me on laser hair removal, telling me waxing was going to hurt me extra because of how coarse my hair is. She insisted that I was the perfect candidate for laser (which I am absolutely not) and pressed the issue when I expressed no interest.

Then, after tax, it was $60 and I still had to tip (which, in retrospect, I greatly regret doing.)

All-in-all a terrible experience and would not recommend this place to anyone for a wax.

I have been visiting Gina's for many years and the service is always exceptional! I frequently use their hairdresser services, and have also had my make-up done as well. The quality is great, which is reflected in the price. If you're looking for a higher end salon and a great team, I highly recommend Gina's!

**This was my first time at this particular spa - but I have lots of experience with other places **

A group of us went for mani/pedis before a wedding. Had the upstairs section to ourselves - very nice and private! Smoothies were ordered ahead of time upon booking - mention was made that 1 dairy free smoothie would be needed - but all 4 they brought out had dairy. Not a big deal - was quickly fixed.

I upgraded my manicure to shellac (I always do this so that I get to enjoy my nails for a longer period of time!) We went on a Tuesday and by Saturday the polish started to peel. And by Sunday all of the polish was completely off of my nails. I have never had anything like that happen before.

Honestly don't think I will return. Found it very expensive for the services we received (but I am not from KW - so maybe the prices are standard for that area)

Estheticians and staff were friendly however the atmosphere is very loud and busy. (it is a large place so I feel that this isn't necessarily a flaw but a good thing to keep in mind for your expectations) If you want to go for a spa day or have few different services be prepared to walk around in a robe while everyone else is fully clothed purchasing product or getting their nails or hair done. For me, it was uncomfortable and I felt awkward being in such a public place with my hair all messy and no make up on while naked under a robe. I think it would be a fun place to go with some friends or just for one service here and there. If you have expectations for a day of pure relaxation and solitude I would not recommend Ginas.
