Girard's NOFRILLS Welland

This was an incredibly friendly and clean store! I had to stop in to by some small shrimp and found it to he incredibly clean and organized. I found my shrimp fast and was greeted with a smile and a hello at the cash.
I will be back

Just moved to Welland and started grocery shopping here.

Have visited three times so far.

The store is clean and bright and well stocked.

Especially pleased with the freshness of the produce, and the selection of meats.

Special thanks to Adam for getting me a paper towel and bandage after I cut my finger while in the store today.

Would definitely recommend.

I stopped going to no frills about 5 yrs ago due to it being dirty and wasn't impressed with some staff being impolite.
Well I thought I'd go check it out after 5 yrs and it's still the same hasn't changed much.

Sadly I wish I didn't have to shop here but today had no choice. Corporate greed is beyond ridiculous at this point.

I had a difficult time finding things since they moved the store around, but it was clean, and staff were helpful.

Aisles are too small, selection is not very good, and the pot holes in the parking lot are ridiculous.

The food I am looking for is always in stock and the store is very convenient to get to. Prices are great, as well!

I visited this first time this store. Wow, how friendly staff exilent customer service it is far from my house but I will visit frequently

Love the flash deals on random items! Please keep this up No Frills! 5 cents to 44 cents on certain items.can’t beat that price!

Clean. Friendly cashier. Some items.s out of stock (bananas) but price and selection were good on fruit.

Its pretty decent location can find alot things you need but as arabic person there is alot of stuff not available in this location

The only issue I have with this store is that on multiple occasions, I have witnessed the staff that does the stocking, not rotating stock. I have worked in retail and know that this is a must when it comes to food/beverages. This is a common issue at every grocery store.

*UPDATE* Staff here is still not rotating stock. So, chances are high that much of the product expires due to this.

Bad cashier service.not coming back.grapes I bought was rotten before expiration and they wont allow me to return it.

It's one of the best no frills I've been to. Well stocked, cleaned, friendly staff.

I wish they had more of the "sale" items. I seem to always miss out. Other than that food prices are low compared to other stores. And I like going there to shop.

Bought fruit that expired in over 24 hours for reduced price no problem my kids gobble them up. But when we opened it the package literally exploded on me from the gasses and smelled of rotten fruit. Went to return or explain to the store. Called over a lady who said no. We're not doing that it's final sale. I said ok but it's rotten. "too bad it says reduced for final sale right here

I understand policies that's not the issue, it was the way I was spoken to and the attitude that came off of the person I spoke to (not the cashier she was a doll)

Will NOT be back. Disgusting practices for blatantly obvious rotten food.

Just a quick stop for some pantry staples. Everything I wanted was available. Very friendly cashier!

Things they do well: I'm not sure if all No Frills have this or not but one thing I really like about this location is they post flash sales on their Facebook page. Most of the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I love PC points and offers. I also love that they still price match as other places do not. Staff always looks busy, I rarely see anyone just standing around talking.

Things I personally think need work and the reason for only giving three stars: The register area gets congested very easily and quickly. The only place people can stand with their carts is down the aisles which stops other people from shopping in that area. And the number one issue for me is the bathroom at this location.

It's basically a hole in the wall and looks like something out of a scary movie. I was really hoping when the store had renovations done that they would have taken that into consideration.
