Not the oldest community center but up there. Houses 2 ice rinks, and gymnastics center, pool with water slide, and squash courts. Clean location but do not buy the coffee from the vending machine.

Nice place with lots of rooms and facilities for people to do activities. Front counter folks are polite.

Our kids are enrolled for Swimming classes and during school breaks we enrolled for gymnastics.
We love to visit the library as our kids are fond of selecting books from wide range available in kids section

Great pool, clean changing rooms, water is at perfect temperature, and staff are courteous. Highly recommended!

Nice place for ice hockey, swimming and squash players with three courts and also have small gym.to keep you fit with yoga classes both for men and women.

Great to see all activities back on track after a 3 year stoppage due to COVID. Many new faces and great to see many community residents and their children. Very clean and well managed facilities. Excellent modern technology.

I have to say the story time of OPL is the worst experience that I have ever had in different libraries in both US and Canada.

We have been there twice, but my 2 yrs old son was rejected from the door due to no tickets, he observed all other kids got to step in that fun room in front of him, but the fun not belonged to him, he held only frustration back home.

I can understand they try to limit the attendant’s amount inside, but there should be lots of good ways out there to do so without hurting a little ones feeling, especially in a neighborhood library.

I wish there could be a staff tell us we need a ticket to attend, I wish they put a message on the website, I wish I could find a poster on the library wall mentioned it, unfortunately, there is nothing. That was my first time to be there, but we didn’t find any help or instructions.

The second time I asked the front desk to get the tickets, but she was busy holding a phone, and mentioned she placed those tickets on somewhere in the kids zone, but I couldn’t find any. My son and I observed some parents hold a bunch of tickets stepping into the fun room, but we were rejected again. I wish staff could take care of the tickets and see those as a ticket for fun reading journey for a little ones, I wish the staff could be more responsible to their job which is important for a young reader. Unfortunately, they didn’t.

The supervisor spoke to me with mean words in a polite way. That’s ridiculous, they can’t be friendly to a little, how can I wish they could be polite to me.

The management team could do much better than it is right now, like other libraries have been doing. But it ended that it’s a mean place to go for my son now.

My daughter has started gymnastics at this centre and she loves it. The building could do with some updating but it's a great place for kids sports amd recreation.

Disappointing Swimming Pool - Too hot to swim in

Was told that they keep the pool at 88 degrees. Was obviously hotter than that from asking other swimmers. Asked the lifeguard what the temperature of the pool was and they were not aware. Was told that Maintenance checks the pool hourly.

Best ice among all the skating rinks in south oakville. They keep the ice perfect between every session.

AVOID THE GYM HERE DO NOT BUY A MEMBERSHIP! I'm not sure about any of the other facilities but some old guy yelled at me and my friend because we were taking a while because we had to sanitize in between sets LIKE THE EMPLOYEE TOLD US and the employee took the old guys side! He told us that we should "split our exercises" and "don't train in such a big group" WHEN WE WERENT EVEN IN THE BIG GROUP, I only brought one friend and we were both using the rack. Overall, very rude, and a horrible experience, I would never recommend this gym to anyone.

I liked going to watch the hockey game in the stands. From the experience on being a goaltender, in the green rink the nets aren't square to the center of the ice. And I know that the non goalie people might think it's "not a big deal" but a few inches can actually mess up the goalie's sense of where the net is. So it messes goalies up when the don't know where the net is.

Great place for Oakville families. Has a great pool, library, ice rink, squash courts, tennis courts, gym, basketball. Hope I have not forgotten anything

Great activities, however if you're swimming with a baby be prepared for a very stressful changing situation. The family change rooms are hardly accommodating and the women's change rooms are also difficult with a baby.

Pool was on the smaller side without the slide open for morning Fri swimming. Change rooms have ample room, with hairdryers on site and about 6 cubicles for privacy. Family change rooms have only one disabled change room as well as washroom and a shower in it. Yes, you heard right. Only one.

Good library facility and helpful staff. Books can be returned even after hours using the automated book return in front of the entrance. You can reserve books online from any OPL library and pick it up at your local OPL. The library is being renovated, so it will probably be very nice.

Children's swimming classes are available. There is a gym and indoors hockey rink. A small cafe offers some snacks and coffee. Oakville Town has a service and information desk inside.

The refurb looks good. Not sure sure about the huge sliding doors from an environmental footprint perspective, but I guess that's some engineer's idea of functional. The gym is pretty good, but needs a second squat rack or barbell bench.

It's a nice place with everything you need. I usually come there for skating but the only problem I have with it is the fact that there are so many people there usually and the ice is a little bumpy (both rinks).

Beautiful skate rink. Went on a Friday during lunch 11: 30-1 for $4.75. Nice people and just a relaxed environment. There were very new and very skilled skaters but everyone was super friendly and helped each other out. Definitelytly would go back.

Good clean facility to watch a hockey game. Dressing rooms are spacious. My kids also used the large pool for swimming lessons.

Large clean facility with 2 ice rinks, library, gyms, swimming pool, squash courts and more. The Oakville Fall program offerings is a mind boggling plethora of programs for kids and adults. It took 160 pages to describe all the happenings just for the Fall period. Verdict: Nobody is left out of all the fun! Go check it out now!

Old equipment, not enough equipment and small but ok otherwise. If it's busy you can't get on anything.

I came here to watch my Nephew play baseball. He lost though. Probably because my brother is the coach.

Super clean and well maintained facilities. The changing room of the swimming pool is the best I have ever used.

I love how this is within walking distance in my community. Friendly staff, great workout equipment, good fitness equipment and a water slide in their pool. The library is closed for renovations this summer, which is a bit of a bummer, but here's to hoping when it opens again, that their already lovely library will be even better!

Amazing place for the kids to spend the whole day playing sports, enjoying many activities, reading in the library, etc.

Son plays floor hockey here. Nice facility. Starts to get warm inside though when the weather gets nice outside.

You can rent skates and helmet here. I came here with my family for occasional skating session. Everybody had fun. Pizza, snacks and drinks are available for purchase.

The change room on the enclosed shower area is very small, anytime there is more than 5 at once we can not change.

Great place to hangout with friends. You could swim, play basketball.so many things but sadly no volleyball in Glen Abbey but I was told the one at Iroquois Ridge has a provision for volleyball.

The first time I walked in here I was amazed. They have the library when you first walk in (great size with a kids section in the back) they have a pool, a daycare, a hockey rink, gymnastics and I'm sure theres more. It's a very easy building to walk around without getting lost. The staff is VERY friendly and very informative. I love how there is always something going on there (little activities in the library) I would recommend this community centre to anyone who is looking for a place to take the kids!

This is an awesome community centre with a public library, swimming pool, 2 ice rinks, gymnasium, work out room, squash courts, AND a huge gymnastics facility run by Oakville Gymnastics Club.
