We really like Dr. Jennifer’s approach to treatment. She took time with us and explained options and costs and answered questions patiently. We never felt rushed or pressured.
When time came to say goodbye to our beloved furball we didn’t know what to expect but the care, professionalism and gentle transparency of Dr. Jennifer and staff were most appreciated. I felt like not only was she managing our dog’s transition with utmost care but she was also acting like a grief counselor giving us time and safe space to say goodbye. Thank you Glen Erin Animal Hospital.

Dr Jen is the best Vet. She is kind, caring and compassionate. I have been bringing my two guinea pigs to her for years and they love her. I would recommend her to anyone who has pets.

I recently took my dog to Glen Erin Animal Hospital for an x-ray procedure, but unfortunately, the overall experience left much to be desired. I had specifically requested that they sedate my dog before the procedure which they also recommended, as he tends to get anxious in medical environments. However, they proceeded with the x-ray without providing any form of sedation or even attempting to make my dog more comfortable.

As a result, the entire process was incredibly stressful for my dog. He was visibly scared and hesitant, making it difficult for the veterinary staff to handle him. I was disheartened to see him in distress throughout the procedure. It left me questioning the level of care and consideration provided by the hospital.

Moreover, when my dog was discharged and we left the hospital, I noticed that he was having difficulty walking. I understand that he might experience some discomfort after an x-ray, but this was beyond what I expected. I had hoped for a clear explanation or guidance on how to handle his post-procedure discomfort, but unfortunately, none was provided.

Communication also seemed to be a major issue during our visit. The staff appeared rushed and did not take the time to fully address my concerns or answer my questions. It left me feeling unheard and unsatisfied as a pet owner seeking reassurance for my dog's well-being.

Overall, I'm deeply disappointed with the level of care and attention my dog received at Glen Erin Animal Hospital. The lack of sedation during the x-ray procedure, the subsequent discomfort my dog experienced, and the inadequate communication all contribute to my negative experience. I hope that the hospital takes these concerns seriously and works towards improving their practices to provide better care for their patients and more satisfactory experiences for pet owners.

He then had to be admitted to Emergency Animal hospital as he was in so much pain that evening. Following days Glen Erin Animal Hospital gave me a call to follow up and I was told that the Doctor would call me for clarification why he was admitted. 3 week later still no call from them.

Professional staff that are open the pet owner’s suggestions and go the extra mile ensuring the animals are treated both comfortably and safely. We’ve been going to this veterinary clinic for close to a decade now and will continue doing so. Highly recommended.

I see some complaints related to the owner, but I really have none. She was always frank, honest and supportive. I know she cared. I do think there are areas the overall team could improve:
- Better coordination between the different vets, as sometimes it appears that we would receive conflicting advice.
- VetTechs should not drag dogs. Just because you have a mobility issue, don’t drag my ill pet towards you. This really upset me and I had to intervene.
- When you are recommending testing, please explain why its required and try to group tests together per visit (minimize visits for ill pets and owners).
- Don’t advise pet owners to dropping their pets in the freezer if they pass away. The whole situation is stressful as is and this is the last thing somebody wants to hear about their beloved family member. I appreciate the frankness, but we live in a big city and there are plenty of options.

Good place but pricey, with annual check up for $175 + tax they can at least do nails trim for the pet complimentary

Lovely experience here. I brought my senior hamster and everyone was so kind. From the booking (whoever emailed me with all of my inquiries was so nice) to the actual appointment it was a pleasurable experience all around.

I originally had inquired about nail trimming but noticed an abscess on my hamster. They immediately helped me book the earliest slot available.

Dr. Julie and her assistant (I believe his name was Cody, sorry if that's incorrect) listened to my concerns and were so so gentle with my hammy during his first examination. He's a pretty tame hamster but was so good even when they trimmed his nails. They explained the next steps to me well and made me feel confident that my hamster was in good hands.

This is a good place to bring your smaller pets/exotics! Chimmy & I thank everyone here:)

Please don’t work here and take your pet here. Prices are high and they will milk you for your money. The owner, Jennifer, treats her staff terribly. I used to come here with my ex girlfriend for her dog’s appointments and I swear, each time I was there, I would see her yelling at the staff, even hearing her yelling through closed doors. If you can’t control your anger around your staff when there are patients and clients around, imagine what she says to them when no one is around. Whenever there’s another staff helping her in the appointment rooms, she would treat them with little to no respect, as if she’s above you. They’re always hiring and the reason is because of her. I think some of the staff have stayed with her for so long is because they’re either scared of her and/or they don’t care that she treats other staff like dirt.
