Glen Long Community Centre

Small, cozy community centre. The tiny-tots room is super cute, with generous windows both to the grassy (or snowy) park and the corridor, for parent-child visual contact. Irene, the supervisor, is always happy to help and be a community hub. The outdoor swimming pool is only 70cm (or so) deep at the shallow end, making it very friendly for little swimmers. The "deep" end is still enough for an adult to touch the bottom. Outdoor ice rink, indoor bocce court.

The Glen Long Community Centre has long served our family for many recreational activities and events. From dance classes, cooking classes, skating and swimming, our children have benefited from City programs at Glen Long from caring and effective staff. Nestled into the North York community near Dufferin and Glencairn, the location serves a diverse community with many programs and services of all ages, including a long standing bocce community. It's a pleasure to know that we can continue to attend this facility and enjoy the many programs they offer. Thank you for making community centres like this possible.
