Glenwood Cottages & Marina

What a beautiful place to stay! We rented the Balsams cottage for a week and it was perfect. The cottage was very clean and accommodated all 6 of us quite comfortably. The owners were so friendly, accommodating and greeted us right away. We are looking forward to our stay again next year.

If you want to get ripped off, overcharged this is the place. They don’t seem to care about repeat business. Boat rental was charged for days not agreed upon. They offered no assistance with regards to the lake and areas to avoid for shallow or rocky areas.

Very polite but it’s an act, they just care to get your money even if it means you’ll never return.

We have been coming here for several years. Friendly family owned cottages/marina. Beachside cottages great for kids. No AC or TV, but not something we miss. Clean, comfortable and they allow dogs! Lake Manitouwabing is one of the best, with lots of bays to explore. Golf club/restaurant access by boat and Town dock at McKellar are favourites. Thanks Rudy and family for making our stay very enjoyable!

We have been staying at Glenwood with my parents and 2 brothers for our family vacation every August and Thanksgiving weekend for the last 5 years and everyone absolutely loves it there. We have stayed at 4 different cottages over the years and they all have been fantastic although the Balsam cottage became our favourite due to its gorgeous views. The management team & hosts (especially Rudy!) are extremly friendly and accomodating and it is always a pleasure to see them. The lake, beach and fishing are exceptional! Overall great experience in all aspects.

Beautiful, well maintained cottages (of various sizes, we book the Bayview and the poplar) in an amazing family friendly setting. The cottages have everything you need. Just bring a duvet/blanket

Added bonus is the marina and private beach access.

Hosts are super friendly and always willing to help with anything that needed.

It's been our "go to" end of summer retreat for the last 4 years.

Can't wait to go back again this year.

One of the worst place I've ever been. Dirty water. Unprofessional and very nosy management.couldn't call it the cottage better word is cabin to use for, and all close to each other and no privacy. Cabin was assigned for 8 people but barely 8 people could fit in. Only one washroon for 8 people and water which they use for shower was so smelly, no AC at all. All the equipment were so old and not functioning. Beds are too small which two adults wont fit on it. At the end all i can say is DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY go put the tent on trust me is much better than using these cabins

I have been coming to Glenwood for the past 12 years. I love it! My happy place. Cottages are always clean. The hosts are fantastic. Cannot wait for next year!

This place is so amazing! The cabins are so clean and cute. The resort is so well maintained! And the people that own it are beyond amazing! They are the nicest people ever! So recommend this place. The scenery is so beautiful also

The worst experience We had. Extremely dirty cabin. The Owner lives next door, came inside my cabin every single morning without any notice and complain about everything, they made us really uncomfortable, we had no privacy. They are very rude and unfriendly. All the beds are very dirty bedding sheets in dark color to cover the dirts. The lake is useless with terrible smelling. Do Not Go to this horrible place.

I have been coming to this place for the past three years.
1st: This place is just amazingly beautiful. If you are a person who appreciates nature, outdoor and beautiful relaxing views you should definitely come here. Many activists available for you and your family. (volleyball, canoes, kayaks, motor boats, sand beach, swimming, hiking)
2nd: reasonable pricing and the fact you see what is exactly included in your cabin leaves no room for any surprises.
3rd: What makes me come back to this place is the owners and the way they treat you as customers. Friendly, kind and honest.

Back for our second year. Our cottage was very clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. We booked again for next year. Peaceful and beautiful. 5 Stars for sure.

Our first visit was lovely. Travelling with a child with needs and the host was more than accommodating. Cabin had everything we needed. Guests were all nice and friendly. Have already booked for another week next summer. Would definitely recommend this resort for a family getaway.

Super super super dirty place. All the sheets are dark grey or black color to does not show dirts and they had very bad smell. The shower has lots of mold and the water has Scent of sewage. No air conditioner inside of cabin, and no fan or any air freshener in bedrooms. The worst place I ever seen.

I have booked this place based on the reviews in here and found most of them are fake!
super dirty inside and the whole area, the shower is really disgusting.a very tiny cottage and no air conditioner, super hot during the day and even at night.very hard to sleep on their small beds and harder to sleep on their dirty sheets.don't go to this place at all if you need internet, because they dont provide wifi and there is no internet coverage in the area!
but my worst experience was confronting the unfriendly owners who all live in next door and you feel their breath on your neck!
they would check you on every single in and out!
overall 1 star is too much for this stinky place!

Great place! Beautiful scenery, cottages are great with views of the water. Owners are extremely friendly and helpful. We go back every year! Great fishing and nice open areas to take the kids tubing. Kayaks, canoe and paddle boat available at the beach.

I have been going to this place as a family get together for 3 years now. We have had the best experience and the best time there. Wether its swimming at the beach or having camp fires its the best. The owners are very comfortable to talk to and very helpful if you need anything. The cottages are clean and have most of everything you need to enjoy your stay. This place is a little piece of heaven in the wilderness. I strongly recommended this place to enjoy with your family

Awesome place! Just spent 2 weeks here. Super accommodating and friendly hosts. The cabin was clean and quaint. The beach is a great spot for kids and adults alike. The lake is large, clean and fun to explore by boat. Fishing is good as my husband caught many bass, pike and even a couple of walleye. We are looking forward to returning in 2021.

I spent a week in one of the cabin, it was the worst experience, the bathroom water smells so bad, the beds are so small. The kitchen is so small and unorganised. Lake water is Dirty and smelly.
The host is so rude and unfriendly, don’t waste your time and Money. Even if you don’t have any choice, stay home, if you go there you will regret it

Very very impolite and uncivilized owner, they are a big family and all lives next door and check you like a Schoolmaster.

We had a wonderful time here over the past 2 weeks. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The cabin was clean and charming. I loved touring the lake sightseeing. The fishing was awesome. There is a nice beach that the grandkids endlessly enjoyed. We’ve booked again for 2021.

Stayed at the boathouse for the second year in a row. It was great last year and even better this year. Rudy and his family are improving the resort to keep the charm of being outdoors along with the comforts of home.the grounds cottages, roads and beach are all kept in great condition, fishing with Rudy’s pontoon was great. When leaving we booked again for next summer!

We just spent a week at Glenwood, the owners were very kind, helpful and friendly. They do not gouge like other resorts; firewood, bait, ice cream, gas and boat rentals are all reasonably priced. No extra charge to use the canoe or kayaks. Loved the cottage (Lodge) that we stayed in, nice fireplace, clean and cozy cottagy. My son loved the sandy beach and fishing of the dock. We all hated having to leave.

Great location. Beautiful scenery. Reasonable price. Nice and cozy cabins. What you see on the website is exactly what you get. So I like how honest and transparent the owners are. Highly recommended.

This is a nice and decent place!
we were a group of 8 and stayed in the "Boathouse". It's a cozy little place facing the water and exactly as described in the pictures!
The owners, especially the lady in charge (Sandra) are very nice and polite. We ended up renting a pontoon boat from them for a very reasonable price as well which turned out to be a great decision!
All in all it's a nice little place facing a wonderful lake!
My only suggestion for future is to add an AC unit to the place. Not having an AC was not a big deal as we were enjoying the water for the most part during the day, but since we were there during a heat wave it just would have been great to have it.again not a huge deal at all; I can definitely see my self going back!

This resort is fantastic in all aspects, beautiful location, wonderful lake view and in addition to, the perfect management and staff. The owner/ managers are very kind and helpful. I recommend this cottages.

Excellent cottage resort. We are here for our second stay right now and we absolutely love it here! Perfect for a week-long escape on a beautiful lake.
