My family has been going here for over 10 years, these guys are the real deal. Sensei Daniel is truly a terrifc teacher, compassionate, empathetic and very knowledgeable about the disciplines of Martial Arts. I feel blessed to be part of the GMA community.

I have been training at Global for 3 years now and could not be happier with the training, knowledge and dedication shown by Sensei Daniel, Sensei Ron and all instructors. All students regardless of age are taught to be future instructors and leaders in Martial Arts.

My son has been a part of the GMA family for over 10 years now and gone from an undisciplined white belt to a black belt instructor and he did by earning his way all the way through. GMA is a REAL martial arts academy. They are not babysitters and they are not there to sell belts. They are there to teach martial arts to students who want to learn martial arts, and they do that very very well and with their students and instructors safety and well-being as top of mind. I am glad we chose them as my son has become a better person for it.

Terrible place! I regret taking my son for evaluation there. Owner was very rude and nasty! He yield at my 7 year old who has ASD and ADHD and scared him so much just because he saw the photo of a dragon on his office door and stepped in his office. I thought he was just being tough, but this was complete rudness. How do you want my son to listen to you when you gave him the worst first empression ever. Screaming in my kid's face infront of me.
I'm not in any type of sport, but i know sport is kindness, respect before everything, especially with little kids. He's only 7 man. What were you thinking.

Very unprofessional staff. They have NO idea how to deal with kids. They have the worst attitude ever. No kindness. No respect. You are not trainers. You guys need trainers for your sick brain. You need to be taught how to be mindful when dealing with kids as they are not all the same.

Global Martial Arts Academy is amazing… Sensei Daniel and Sensei Ron along with all the other instructors are top notch! They have an excellent curriculum for students to excel and flourish in. Myself and my two boys have been training there for years and will continue to as it’s simply the best club around hands down!

Top-notch facility and martial arts training! Not only do they teach a fully-inclusive program, the family atmosphere is amazing. Some places preach they teach values, this place lives and demonstrates them. I would not look anywhere else in the Hamilton area!

The gym has an extremely spacious training area and the instructors are very friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, it's a great place to develop your skills while meeting some great people at the same time.

I attend the Pura BJJ program here. It is without doubt, the best Jiu Jitsu gym in Hamilton, and the mat space is insane.

Not only is this studio spotless and well-maintained, but the owner and instructors connect wonderfully with their students. Their warmth and the overall sense of community is furthered fostered by regular communication and individualized support.

This place is amazing! I started here about a year ago and have been very impressed by the cleanliness, structure of curriculum and teachers, the comradery and constant positive attitudes from the staff and students.
They have a beginners class, which is one of the main reasons I chose this gym. But the general good vibes (along with the fact that Jiu-Jitsu is awesome) is why I stay. I have another gym 5 minutes away from me (that I checked ou) but I continue to travel 25 minutes to train here.
The owner PJ is amazing. He's constantly on the Mats, is a great teacher, knows how to have fun and still focus on constant improvement, and has been incredible to deal with.

My daughters joined Global at the ages of 6 and 4 and are still very active in the club at 18 and 13. GMA is built on strong family values and is a welcoming place for everyone of all ages and abilities. Sensei Daniel and Sensei Ron are true leaders and excellent role models for all of us, embodying confidence, strength, patience, focus, generosity and discipline. The rest of the GMA Sensei’s and Sempai’s are wonderful and lead by example, portraying patience, respect, hard work and humility. If you are looking for your child (ren) to have a truly enriching experience while having fun in a supportive and positive environment, then this is the place to bring them.

Friendly and welcoming atmosphere with highly skilled coaches. The gym is very clean and is in a great location. The students are diverse and there is a growing group of females who train regularly. Whether you are looking to compete or train more casually, you will find great training partners. The curriculum is intense and progressive, and there is the added bonus of the Mendes Bros and Andre Galvao visiting yearly for seminars. I highly recommend trying out a class. I did 4 years ago and it was the best decision I've ever made:) Pura is easily the best bjj gym around.
