I always enjoy every experience I have at Glow Day Spa. I’m especially loving the OxyGeno Super Facials and so is my skin! Mikaila is wonderful and makes the experience that much better.

I did tell her that it was too flat and asked her to fix it. She didn't appear to be too happy about that request, lifted up the front slightly. At that point, I knew she wasn't going to do what I needed. I said, that's fine or perfect.
Working w/styles & hairtextures, I understand. Volume is NOT an issue that I have & a natural wave to my hair. The style I asked for, I have done myself and had others do without any issue. The problem here is that I was ignored.
If part of her role is to be also be on her phone while w/clients, you have a Staff issue. Excusing herself to take calls about other clients as well as stopping to answer texts while doing my hair, is not what your trying to create.
As far as the timing, my hair service was finished early because it was a rushed job. She did something easy & run of the mill that took no time at all. The stylist told me to sit in the lobby and the makeup artist would be right out, she's finishing lunch. No mention of your appointment isn't until 1: 10PM, I had no idea. I booked them back to back.
And as far as your suggestion that I used that 30 minute gap (that I wasn't aware I had). I had already asked her to fix it. She wasn't interested. She wanted to be anywhere but doing my hair. As soon as she could hand me off she did & went to lunch. I watched it all with my own eyes. I was already feeling like an inconvenience at that point. She clearly had way more on her plate than she can handle.
I received a really nice call from the stylist this morning, apologizing. She took full ownership of this and knowing I'm out of town, offered to have me come back for a redo on her, next time I'm in Barrie. She was very professional.
But your response, is one excuse after another. And I could be wrong, I read it a few times, I didn't see any apology. I have never given a bad review & I NEVER complain. I won't be back & I will make sure that my girlfriends in the area are also aware.

I went to Glow Day Spa for Hair and makeup for a wedding. I'm not from the area, it looked beautiful and was close to our hotel.
I started with hair. I showed her a few looks, explained I wanted lots of volume. She didn't appear positive and I said just big and lots of volume. She was very distracted and said very little to say me about anything really. She had her phone and was getting texts or phone calls. She excused herself once and came back a few minutes later. Then once again, walked away but didn't say a word. Just walked away on her phone. When she came back she said something about a bride and bridesmaids onsite. I think she left a third time, but I can't be 100% sure. I could hear the other stylists chatting and enjoying the experience, but not me. I felt like I was a bit of an inconvenience to be honest. Once I was done, I looked, no volume. No fullness. Just a run of the mill, curls and thats it. I was so disappointed. But tight for time
I smiled and figured ill get the makeup done and go back to the hotel and do my hair.
When the hair was done at 12: 35, the stylist took me to the waiting room. She came back a few minutes later and said the makeup artist is just finishing up lunch and she'll be right out. I sat for 15 minutes and others were coming and going. Not me.
I went to the front desk and said how much longer, knowing I now have to redo my hair. She said your appointment isn't until 1: 10pm. I didn't book it like that. At that point I was upset, not happy with my hair and now waiting. I told them if they can't take me now, then cancel it and I'll figure it out myself. The girl doing the makeup said she was done lunch and would do it right away. Tbh, she is the reason I gave any stars at all. She was sweet. And did a beautiful job on my makeup. She was great. She knew I was upset about my hair and offered to have her fix it. At this point, I had watched the stylist go to lunch, so I couldn't wait for much longer. As well as, I didnt want to feel like an inconvenience.

Angie was fabulous. This was my first time at Glow, and my first blowout, and I couldn't have been happier. My hair still looks great 2 days later! I only wish I lived closer so I could visit more often.

This was my first visit and won't be my last. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The waiting area has items for purchase to browse. Soothing scents and music make it a very calm and peaceful place to be. I'm embarrassed that I've forgotten the name of my manicurist, because I wanted to recognize the excellent service she provided. I will be back for sure!

Ambience is lovely! Both of the technicians who took care of me were very professional. I would definitely return.

10/10 Had a pedicure there a few weeks back and my feet were pretty gnarly, the whole experience was great, the products smelled amazing and the staff were friendly and very welcoming. My feet looked great by the time I left and I will for sure be back. Highly recommend.

I cannot speak more highly of my experience here. The location was easily accessible, the facility was emmaculate and staff were attentively assisting with our needs. They have a cafe with drinks. The Pedicures were done by two lovely ladies for my Sister Bachelorette and they made the experience wonderful. We felt pampered and taken care of. The place was busy but it felt like a private oasis. We could not be more happy with our visit! We look forward to coming again!

Services were good, the ladies were fantastic. But if you go in groups, you are forced to pay an extra 18% on top of the services you get, there are no discounts for bringing a huge group for the business. Just be aware of this! ̈

Overall, good experience, beautiful decorations, very comfortable, nice rooftop to hangout!

I booked online for a same day appointment for a “Natural Pedicure”. It was my first time going to Glow Day Spa and I had a great experience! I was greeted right when I walked into the main reception area and quickly checked in. Ariel was lovely, she did a fantastic job with my pedicure and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. The spa was very clean and organized, and they also offer quite a few options on the food and drinks menu (if you please)! I will definitely be back:)

Had a wonderful experience with glow day spa as they did my bridal hair and bridesmaids hair for my wedding day! They were professional and I would highly recommend.

Amazing pregnancy facial. So relaxing and all of the products smell so good. The room is nicely dimmed with soft music in the background and the chair is comfy and warmed. I’ve also had a manicure and pedicure prior and both are also great.

Best spa in Barrie for cleanliness, spa treatments including blow dry bar and all of your employees exceed expectations in customer service! Where else can you order a drink and a bite to eat while getting pampered and preparing for your special occasion.

Kim is a straightforward, friendly, meticulous expert who makes people feel valued. Highly recommend!

I have been to Glow Day Spa twice now. What an amazing place we have locally! It is clean, cool and a wonderful place to treat yourself. I just had a blowout at their new BlowDry Bar and it was so relaxing. The set up is amazing and not your traditional nail or salon location. You won’t be disappointed. Everyone is so friendly and this is a great place for a girl’s getaway or to celebrate a special occasion.

From the moment I entered until I left the staff were welcoming and friendly. My hair turned out great and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Looking forward to returning and trying different services.

Many thanks to Ariel for the fabulous service this morning! I came in with half done dip powder nails after an at-home manicure disaster. She expertly and gently removed the dip powder with no damage done, then applied shellac polish. My nails look amazing now, especially when compared to how they looked upon my arrival! Bonus points for the sugar cookie hand lotion, my partner noticed the scent as soon as I came home! Repeat customer for sure, you can always count on Glow for amazing service <3

Absolutely beautiful spa, I was in aw of how gorgeous the decor and layout was. The lash and brow room I was in was super clean, cozy and comfortable. The staff were kind and accommodating. I was very happy with my servicesS

I also was asking lots of questions about what all the salon offers and knowing what all there is, I cannot wait to come back again! The party options and champagne patio are super cool too. I will be a repeat customer forsure!

We just had my daughter’s princess themed birthday party at Glow Day Spa this weekend. The girls had an amazing time. Danielle was fantastic to deal with booking the party and was an amazing host for the girls. Nothing but positivity and pampering. It was my first time at Glow Day Spa and I will definitely be back. A big thank you to Danielle and all the Glow Day Spa staff!

I visited Glow Day Spa this month because I got a gift certificate for my birthday and wanted to enjoy a facial. I was very excited when I arrived and absolutely taken aback by how beautiful the the front entrance was. It smelled beautiful and was decorated with their own personal products as well as local vendors. Fast forward to my facial. The person who did my facial was polite and nice and although she seemed young I trusted she knew what she was doing. The facial itself was fine the problem I had was the smell that was embedded on her fingers. Every hand movement across my face was met with an appalling smell of garlic, onion and pungent spices. I don’t know if it was from her dinner the night before or her breakfast the morning of, all I know it was the most disgusting experience I have ever had. The facial was not cheap - $150- nor was my total bill. If people are paying for a service it should be done in a way that is clean and enjoyable. I paid for the service, purchased some items to support local and left. The next day I called to speak with someone in regards to my experience and was told I would have to wait until the following day. Today was the day they called me back and truthfully I was offended they did not offer to redo the facial after having such an awful experience. Instead, they offered to put a ‘complimentary’ drink on my file for the next time I return for another service. Glow Day Spa…. I will not be returning. I had an awful and disgusting experience and your solution was unacceptable and offensive.

What a very lovely experience! I received an amazing pedicure by Hannah. Her massage was heavenly! The ambiance is so relaxing and I was able to enjoy a Mimosa while being pampered! I will be back!

Everyone is super friendly. I’m always happy with the service and always feel comfortable going there. The atmosphere is so calming and they did a wonderful job with the decors.

One of my favourite places to be! Glow has always shown how much they care about their clients, and their workmanship by keeping the highest standards, making sure everyone leaves their establishment more than satisfied and with a smile on their face. They offer a wide range of services and products, and go out of their way to make sure everything is done to my preference. Thank you all for always putting forth nothing but your best. No issues with the actual service they did a fine job there but I have been to many spas and even worked at a spa myself and expected a more inviting and comfortable environment: (

The lights are very bright in the main pedicure/manicure room, seating is very close together. During my 2.5 hours there not a single person asked if I wanted anything to drink (water, bar menu, tea etc.) Which would have been nice. I did overhear one staff member ask another guest if they wanted anything to drink but only one out of the whole room. As a guest, you shouldn't have to be the one to ask but rather be asked if there is something you would like

Again, the staff did a good job on my service but the general customer service was poor

Seeing Kayla H at Glow Day Spa last week before my friends wedding was perfect. She took the time to chat with me about my upcoming weekend, helped pick my nail colour and suggested snacks for the bridal party! She was easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable. Her work on my feet felt and looked amazing. I had compliments all weekend about how nice the colour was! Highly recommend Kayla H.

I would like to retract my previous review as it was my fault for not speaking up sooner in regards to my issue regarding my permanent eyeliner as if I had I am sure Kim
or a staff member would have accommodated me in every way. Everyone and especially Kim are extremely professional and experts in their fields.
It truly is the best salon that I have ever been to, and that includes Toronto and European spas. The staff makes you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in the door. I highly recommended this spa for all your needs.

I have just started going here and have really enjoyed my recent visits. I had a shellac removal, a relaxation massage and a pedicure. The staff are wonderful! A very cheery, happy, helpful and professional group. The ambiance here is so relaxing, bright, fresh and clean.

I am extremely happy with my visit to Glow Day Spa. Kim applied permanent eyeliner on my top and bottom eyelids. Very professional, she explained everything she was doing that made me feel at ease and in capable hands.

Cindy was so kind and gentle but did an amazing job on my mani pedi. She was confident and helped me choose a colour that I wouldn't have chosen, but really love.

All the people were super nice, did an amazing job on my nails and it was such a relaxing and wonderful experience!

I personally wouldn’t go back. I don’t understand the “love” for this spa. The woman who did my nails kept complaining about her mask, the chairs were super uncomfortable, the beer tasted flat. My manicure didn’t last 24 hours and I was back fixing 5 nails. A week later the shellac was already peeling. I’m honestly not impressed at all. The amount of money that was spent here, I could have had my nails done twice elsewhere.

Beautiful layout and design. Warning to those sensitive to smells, there's tons of it here. For those not sensitive, it smells amazing!
Cienna was my manicurist and was just so welcoming. She helped me choose a colour, she helped me relax (this was my first spa day out since Covid).
As a group, they accommodated all 5 of us for the same time slot (we originally had 7). We got cocktails (which are delish). It was a really fun morning. Thank you ladies ️

Such a beautiful spa right down to the fixtures. Warm, inviting and clean. The front end staff are friendly and ensure you are checked in quickly. I had a touch up done on my permanent makeup. Kim is efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. Would recommend her and her spa to anyone. Great location and staff.

I was referred by my hairdresser to Glo Spa specifically to see Kim to help me with a correction to permanent brows. This is a beautiful inviting.clean spa and was greeted by friendly staff and Kim. Kim is amazing at what she does and Kim knew what had to be done to lighten them. Already such a great improvement that will just get better as they heal.

Such a beautiful spa! I had my permanent eyebrow makeup done by Kim. First, the spa is stunning, relaxing and the staff is so professional. Second, the procedure with Kim, though a little bit painful, but not bad, was lovely. Like talking to a friend I've known forever. We got talking about a cluster of broken blood vessels on my nose that I'm very self-conscious about and something that I've been living with and fretting over for years, and as we talked it through she told me she could fix it. I was almost in tears when she said she could AND the results are AMAZING! 100% Happy Customer!

Glow Day Spa is the best! Kim is so sweet.she genuinely cares about making other people look and feel good! I've had eye lash extensions done here before and absolutely loved them! Recently, Kim took time out of her busy schedule to fit me in for micropigmentation before undergoing chemotherapy. She was extremely kind and helpful. First visit back after shut down and o couldn't be more impressed. And the staff was fantastic as always.

Great experience. The ladies were wonderful, clean and professional. My nails look fantastic. My husband and I both went for mani pedis. He had the Sport mani pedi and I had the shellac. Brooklyn took care of me. I do not recall the other young lady’s name who took care of my husband but he said it was the best spa mani pedi he has had. I will book a facial next time.:)

I went in to get a natural manicure done and was booked with Brooke. The atmosphere was beautiful and pleasant, allowing a nice relaxing feel. However, Brooke didn't speak to me the entire manicure asides from a few directions for me to follow and seemed to be rushing to get it done. It made me feel as if I were a burden by being there. After the nails were done, she just disappeared and never came back. After sitting there for a while, another staff member came by and let me know that my nails were dry and that I could go. After I had gotten home, I noticed all of my nails got little bumps/bubbles all over the polish. Not sure what that was about but I was pretty disappointed. I feel very ripped off and unhappy.

Absolutely gorgeous spa, with a big city feel. My experience was wonderful from start to finish and my pedicure was one of the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend.

Kim, the owner, is fantastic! She is extremely talented and a true successful, professional career woman. I have been coming here for a few years, she has done my permanent brows twice and I love them! I have received eyebrow tinting and waxing as well as manicures and pedicures and every time I am treated like a Queen and the service is top notch! Everyone is very friendly and the atmosphere is calming but also fun. Kim has done an amazing job renovating the building she is in now. It is absolutely beautiful! A modern, country chic feel that is very inviting.

The salon is gorgeous and the ladies are equally as lovely. It was my first time there and will be back for sure. Great location. Light, bright, airy and relaxing place to get treatments.

If you are looking for a job dont apply here, terrible owner and manager they make you give free services on them. Also she says no sick days you must come in or have a doctor's note (illegal), must! Be available to be called in on days off so drop your plans forever I guess lol what a joke also are terrible at answering the phone.

After having a less than perfect experience due to the spa still dealing with the growing pains of moving to a new location, the owner of Glow herself reached out to me and we were invited back so that we could experience the spa at its best.
Glow is warm and inviting when you arrive, the girls at the desk are awesome and you can tell that everyone who works here enjoys their jobs. Kim who owns Glow takes pride in her spa and this is shown by how quickly she reached out to discuss and fix our experience.

I got eyelash extensions for the first time done by Kim and they are absolutely perfect. I showed her a picture of the type of look I was going for and they came out exactly how I wanted. I’ve been getting so many compliments, thank you Kim!

Glow day Spa is One of a Kind amazing! Today's services was a touch up princess set with Brooke and she did an amazing job. I love connecting with her as we get to share the humorous events that sweep through our lives without judgement. She's a doll!

I've been coming here for a couple years now, mostly for wax appointments. Getting waxed always feels awkward, but they do a great job and try to make it as comfortable as possible. I get my nails done here as well, and I love the eyelash and eyebrow tinting before an event (being able to skip mascara and eyebrow makeup is always a plus to me!). I also made a mistake once and showed up late to an appointment and felt awful, but the ladies who work here were very kind and did what they could with the time left, which I really appreciated. I feel like everyone here is very professional and I've never had any complaints at all.

What a fantastic experience. This is my second time having a pedicure done there and it’s the most relaxing and beautiful experience. All the girls working there are so professional and kind.

I have always had an enjoyable experience at Glow. The staff is friendly, professional and knowledgable about their products and services. I love the way they will exchange pleasantries at the beginning of your service but allow you to enjoy the silence and relax during.

I had the pleasure of receiving two pedicures recently with Lindsay, and she was absolutely wonderful. She does such a great job and the polish lasts way longer than it normally does when I've gone to other places. I had told her my feet were aching from work and she gave me one of the best massages I have ever received. A+ service and very much needed. Thank you Glow and Lindsay!

After years of over-plucking my eyebrows I finally decided to look in to getting them done permanently and properly. It was done so beautifully it left me wishing I had done it years ago. The atmosphere is really relaxing, clean and inviting, not to mention the friendly staff. Will I go back again? Absolutely!
