The technicians are very knowledgeable and kind, and thorough.
My issue is with reception. They seem highly unorganized and uninformed.
I was called on the morning of my appointment day to remind me of an appointment later on in the week. (you would think they would have recognized the name and wold gain conformation at my current appointment.)
They will make you an appointment for 10am. "But arrive 10 minutes early". Ok, so why not make the appointment for 950? Or at least tell me it's for 950?
I just feel like this causes confusion.
The reception staff seem rude and impatient. (Not all staff, but most).
I think they need a lesson in patient satisfaction and courtesy.

I had an appointment today for an ultrasound and xrays at the GNMI Nebo Road location, and could not have been more pleased. I went there with considerable trepidation after having read some of the negative reviews, but quite honestly I could find nothing to complain about. I had to travel quite a distance, as this location had the quickest appointment availability, but I arrived 15 minutes prior to my appointment and had a very pleasant conversation with Katie at reception.   She was professional, yet easy to talk to. The ultrasound and xray technicians were much the same way.   Also, the office, change rooms and exam rooms were very clean. Overall, an excellent experience, no complaints at all.

Went to the Nebo location and the receptionist was extremely unprofessional. Someone from the location called me to change the appointment and I went with the change - they did not send a confirmation text, but I thought nothing of it. The day of the new appointment, I called to say my son was on his way for his ultrasound and I'd be meeting him there, I was told that he had missed his appointment (the original that had been booked). I was dumbfounded and said that I received a phone call to change it, and the conversation went in circles with no acknowledgement that they had made an error- so I asked if they could squeeze him in. He's a young teen and was already anxious for being there to begin with. He has a lump on his shoulder and it's worrisome for obvious reasons. She was adamant that I made a mistake, was adamant that I had missed the appointment, refused to have a shred of empathy, or even suggest the next available appointment.
When I got there, my son was waiting, and mentioned that another receptionist took his name and rudely said "by the way, your appointment was yesterday, but we are squeezing you in. "
Why say that to a kid? Especially if they found a space for him (the place was empty btw), why say that if the issue has been resolved? So I waited for him to be done and asked him to wait in the car, not wanting to make him anxious. I asked the receptionist if she was the one who checked him in, and very smugly she said it was her. I asked if she had mentioned to him that he had missed the original appointment, and if so, why mention something that had already been resolved. With attitude she starts saying that she wasn't rude (even though I never actually used the word rude), and said it was important that he know.again, WHY? Why mention it to a kid? Make him feel stupid, embarrassed, belittled? He's worried about the result of the ultrasound and she has to be petty? So I said "what you said to him lacks sensitivity and tact. That's all I'm saying is that you need sensitivity when you're in Healthcare, and enough tact to not keep harping on something that's been resolved. " She started again that they were doing us a favour, so I just looked at her and asked for her supervisor's name and phone number; she said they don't give out that information but instead, took my name and number. Let me guess, said supervisor will never get my number?
As she's done writing my info, she again smugly looks at me and says "Next time, if you want us to help you, you should remember that you attract more flies with honey than vinegar. " Yes, super unprofessional.and mildly threatening. So she's allowed to withhold services? I was so disgusted and stressed out that I walked to the door, but I turned around and told her that her last comment about the vinegar proves to me that she lacks sensitivity, tact, and compassion. I'm honestly so upset I feel like crying. Never in my life have I experienced such an oppositional, obtuse health care worker. She needs sensitivity training to say the least. If the supervising person sees this review, I still want to speak to you. This is beyond reprehensible.

Unfortunately, I went to this center a year ago and the handling was very poor.
From my naivety I forgot their rude treatment, and yesterday
I went with my son to help me with translation, so the receptionist asked us to wear a mask, I was already wearing it, but my son does not have a mask. I told her please give me a mask from you and she replied to me. Masks are few and may be needed by other customers. I said maybe I didn't understand her words and asked my son to translate her words, and I repeated the same words, knowing that the mask box contained a large number of masks. She left the place and got out of their rude behavior. But the thing I couldn't accept from yesterday until now is, is this really the Canada I dreamed of living in. If this happens in health centers. Where are the morals and humanity, and where are the competent authorities in holding these filthy people accountable?

They called me 45 minutes before me knee ultrasound to cancel and I was already out my door. They charge cancellation fees for no shows but who’s gonna compensate me for time I booked off work? I’ve been waiting weeks for this appointment. Will be calling my drs office for a requisition to another imaging centre. They should have more ultrasound techs on staff.

Booked my appointment online and I called in to confirm it. No one ever told me that I had to drink water prior and when I arrived, they told me they only booked one of the two exams and they didn't have time to "squeeze" it in and they "couldn't go anyway because i didn't drink water". They never told me to drink before, even tho I asked the lady on the phone what prep I needed to do. They didn't seem to care at all that they made an error and wasted my time. I would now need to rebook, book another day off work and rearrange my follow ups with my doctor. Finally, two weeks later, the day before my appointment, they call to cancel it because the tech is sick. Only one tech works there? I understand things happen but this is just way too many errors for what should have been one 30 min appointment. I switched to this location because the one closer to my house charges for parking, but I'm going to continue paying as they at least do the exams they booked me for.

Should be a zero star, this place is horrible both in person and over the phone. Zero compassion for patients, the receptionist was rude and unwilling to listen to what I had to say. I was treated like a number, not a person. When I called to book an appointment, I was told they could not locate my paperwork, then I was told I had an appointment already scheduled. When I asked how that was possible I was told there was a message left on my cellphone, no message was received. I was then rudely told if I did not show up for the appointment I would be charged $50. Needless to say, I cancelled the appointment right then and there. Will never use this clinic for medical imaging

I had to take my toddler in my appointment as he has a stomach bug and couldn't go to daycare. I couldn't cancel because they charge $50 to do that too. He was upset at being at the clinic, but everyone from the reception to the techs inside were extremely rude.

With a little more patience on thier end, like 5 extra minutes to settle him in once I was in the room, I would have been able to receive care today. But instead of allowing for this, the ultrasound tech yelled over my toddler that she is not going to do any ultrasounds "like this" and I need to rebook.

This is the reason mothers of young children are unable to access medical care, because they fear the attitudes they will face if their babies and toddlers act up.

Refusing care to patients is so unethical. I brought the problem, but rolling eyes and yelling over my toddler was not the solution.

Great experience at the Nebo rd location today. Quick, literally walked in and out. Receptionists were friendly, thorough, and quick. They actually pick up the phone and you speak with a human who answers your questions instead of having to leave a message on an answering machine like almost every other place.

The gentleman X-ray technician was great, and very understanding of my mom's frail condition and allowed for more helpers to accompany her.
It was so incredibly appreciated to have her treated so humanely and with care today by the entire staff We've lost parts of our humanity during all these restrictions. Nebo rd imaging however still sees elderly people's care givers as essential!

Thank you, and we'll definitely be back if ever in need.

Receptionist working at the front is super incompetent as I booked an appointment a month before for my mothers broken wrist. However, when I went there after driving 40kms they said we missed their follow-up calls and the appointment was cancelled even though THEY had been calling the wrong number AFTER they noted it down wrong and put me down as a no show. They didn’t think to call my doctor from whom they got the information/referral about why the call wasn’t being answered. Also, my doctor required me to get a written note from them about my drive there and they wouldn’t even write me that for some reason. As her coworker was dealing with another patient she told her to shh. Very impolite and I had not even seen the actual doctor or anyone yet. Would recommend going elsewhere as she seems like headache to deal with.

EDIT: The receptionist at the Stoney Creek location is a lot more pleasant to talk to even though they couldn’t do anything about the appointment.

Not the pleasent experience I was expecting or wanted. They could do better if they take the patients feelings into account, instead of making you out to be a transaction & told you only have "x" amount of time. I've been here twice and both times were disappointing care treatments.

I am very happy going back a second time to get my x-rays and ultra sound here on the Hamilton Mountain. They are booking quickly within a week and following all health prodicals for Covid-19. The staff are very professional.

The staff was lovely. They were friendly, polite and very considerate. The appointment was as scheduled, no undo delays and Covid measures were definitely adhered to. The waiting room is filled with natural light and immaculate. Will be my location of choice should I ever require imaging services again.

The receptionist and the ultrasound technician were wonderful. It was refreshing to be greeted in a friendly manner by the receptionist, most medical office have horrible front desk customer service. I had the same technician for both of my pregnancy ultrasounds, unfortunately I didn’t get her name but she was amazing. She was friendly and made me feel at ease and explained everything to me. Would highly recommend this clinic for any prenatal ultrasounds.

Receptionist was very rude when attempting to book a scan. Not the place to go if looking for any sort of quality patient care. More concerned about getting home on a Friday afternoon then doing their job. Very disappointing.

Staff very personable and made me feel at ease. They were very efficient. The only drawback was ultra sound opened at 8 and X-ray at 9. Nowhere to wait except your car (due to CoVID). It would be nice if they both opened at the same time.whether earlier or later

Even though there are locations that are closer to me I would prefer to drive a little farther to have tests done here. The staff are absolutely awesome. It is quite obvious that they care about their patients.

Always organized and efficient, gentle care in delivery of procedures, and of course during a time with safety is at an all time high, I felt very comfortable knowing measures were in place and steps were ACTUALLY taken. Pleasant experience anytime I have had to visit.

Received a text from GNMI asking me to rate my experience. Not sure that was wise on their end.

I'm currently pregnant and have a high risk pregnancy. I went for my genetic scan and an additional scan requested by my doctor because of my high risk factor. The technician argued with me about the request and tried to tell me this specific request was done during the anatomy scan and should just be done then. I explained I am high risk which is why my doctor is requesting it. I had to argue with her for quite a few minutes just to do what the requisition said. This is unacceptable and I will never go back. Not only will I never go back but I've already told plenty of people I know what happened and not to go to GNMI on Nebo Rd for pregnancy related ultrasounds.

It’s always easy to get an ultrasound appt - I’ve had two during this crazy time - and reception is so so kind. Makes all the difference for everything medical. Often imaging appointment are for something negative so to receive such kindness right at booking is amazing. Also, they we right on time - no excess waiting - and incredibly kind and efficient technicians. I felt both safe and well taken care of. It’s now my go to imaging location.

Not the place to get ultrasound, I think it’s the worst place at all, me and my wife had bad experience her, that time my wife moved from Quebec and they didn’t accept the Quebec medical insurance.anyway they ask to pay 200$ I said ok I will, they did the ultrasound they said sorry we didn’t hear or see the baby cuz your wife still 8 weeks!
My question is why they didn’t inform us that it’s too early to check out the ultrasound! And why after they took the money! In addition to their rude staff.
Then after 10 days we went to Other ultrasound clinic and everything was amazing and respectful.

I had an Ultrasound here for the first time this week & I wanted to take the time to thank the staff for being so lovely! Every single person I interacted with was very kind & sweet. A huge thanks to the staff for everything they do to keep up their amazing work during a Pandemic!
The office is very neat, tidy, and clean also!
I honestly had a great experience & would highly recommend.

Have been to this very clean clinic many times and will continue to reccomend and go back for future appointments!

I had to take a elderly family member in for a series of X-Rays and the receptionist was very nice and registered him quickly.

The X-Ray tec Barb was phenomenal! She assisted him with getting to the change rooms and to the X-Ray room and was very clear with explaining what was going on. He felt very comfortable and pleased that she took the time to ensure his experience was a good one. He appreciated the care he received!

If I could give this place a “0” star I would. The “lady” who works at the front desk is unbelievably rude. My wife’s health card is expired and due to the fact she’s PREGNANT.she hasn’t gone to Service Canada renew her card. This lady seems to think she knows better than service Canada? I called to voice my concern and they hung up on me! Hahaha. I want the owner/manager to get in contact with me because this woman needs to be fired. Get a new job if you hate your life so much. I actually feel bad for you. A person like this shouldn’t be in customer service. I look forward to hearing from management:)

Very upsetting experience when I was there. Waited long time for doctor to receive results. Would not go here again.

As a first timer I was very uneasy going to get my very first ultrasound for my first baby ever. I had in mind it would be an exciting experience, something beautiful in such a hard time. However, that was the complete opposite.

They told me I could not bring anyone with me which was very upsetting as I suffer from anxiety as well. I tried my hardest to follow their rules of showing up with a full bladder, but after waiting 15 minutes in the waiting room alone I was getting in pain and starting to stress out before I had even gone in. The receptionist was very rude when someone else opened the door and said I could let some out. The receptionist yelled "she's only been holding it for half an hour" and I wanted to cry right there. Having some support would have helped me dramatically though this awful experience.

I explained I didn't have to, as I didn't want to cause any problems or delays because I didn't want to be there longer than I had to be. I did end up go to the bathroom very lightly but there was a lady waiting for me to come out with two cups of water and I couldn't believe that, I was in so much pain I wanted to run out of there, but I stayed for my baby.

The only thing that was relaxing was once I laid down and could feel like I could breath again. The technician didn't say much and I was unsure of what was even going on. There were tons of signs around (I read most of them due to my anxiety) about how they are not required to tell us anything about what they see on the screen, so I was nervous to even ask if my baby was okay. She did give me a picture of my baby and I still have no idea how far along I am, when my due date is, what the heart beat sounded like, nothing; except that I have a baby.

Everytime someone asks me how the ultrasound went it brings me to tears. I had a doctor's appointment the next day and she said she was still waiting for results. But due to it being a month after I found out I was pregnant (I'm assuming I'm somewhere between 12 and 16 weeks now) the results that they will get will almost be unrelatable at this point and in my opinion, a waste of time.

I just hope they start to treat pregnant women a little more respectful, maybe make the exception for people going through life altering events to bring a support with them. I understand covid has been a devistsating and stressful experience for everyone; but there are masks and sanitiser stations so having a support person with someone shouldn't affect the process or safety of the staff working here.

I really hope the next ultrasound I get (which won't be here) is a more light experience, that doesn't bring me to tears whenever I think about it.

Needed an ultrasound, it was a 3 week wait where my doctor recommended, but called here on a Friday and got an appointment on Monday, WOW what a treat. Professionally done and results to my doctor on the next day. Super clean and all done with social distancing from other patients.

It's never fun going to get tests done. Over the years I've been to many clinics it always seems to be the same thing. Grumpy staff and long waits. Not here! Everyone was friendly especially the ultrasound technician who was so kind and engaging. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the place was. They were on time so no waiting! Five stars for sure. I'll be going back and choosing GNMI the next time I need testing.
