Great service! I got a cold perm and Jason was very careful with my hair as well as follow up instructions. I showed him photos of what I wanted and got exactly that.

To be honest I’ve never been there before, I’ve booked appointment with designer Tina on Jan, before that date I received their phone call says smt emergency she’s sick she can not come to work so she has to canceled my appointment, I understand it, so I asked them when would be next available date for her? She says in Feb, that time it’s not works for me, if she can make a time on Jan would be good for me, because you canceled it and only gave me 2 day notices, I’m sure she’s good at her professions, so they offered me the same day I booked but the only difference it’s 10 AM, so dose mean they’re LYING in front of customer saying SHE’S SICK, and she can work on the same day at 10AM? What a perfect lie? But the way they talked to me very unprofessional
Be careful they will cancel your appointment and make a terrible lies to their customers!

I got my perm today with Hana and she really nice and made suggestions based on the perm and cut I wanted she was very precise with the cuts. She also offered beverages while waiting for to perm solution and in end she was telling me on how to take care of my hair. I was very satisfied with the end result I will definitely come again.

I was optimistic about this place, but unfortunately did not have a good experience. Staff were very friendly, and the studio atmosphere is great, but it just seems like the hair dresser lacks confidence / experience. I decided to write a review to provide some constructive criticism to the business that will hopefully provide a better experience for future clients.

Feedback #1 – It would be great if the hair dresser checked in with the client at least once, to make sure that the cut is going in the right direction.

Feedback #2 – I think there needs to be more of a discussion prior to the haircut to make sure that both parties understand the vision. After showing my reference photos, I wasn't sure whether what I wanted was understood. I held my tongue trusting the process, but when I realized that the cut was nearing the end, I had to speak up.

Mostly it seemed like there was a lack of communication throughout the entire process, maybe due to a language barrier that made it uncomfortable for the hair dresser to communicate in English.

In the end, I like the haircut -It wasn't what I had in mind and it didn't align with the reference photos I showed at the beginning, but considering the fair price, it's okay. However, if you're super precious about your hair, and very sensitive, I would probably not come here.

Not very good experience. My hair color and so my sister were completely different from what I request. They damaged our hair as well. They (senior hairdressers) firstly refused service as they could not meet our simple brown balayage. So they recommend us with simpler hair style. We did trust them as we have heard from many people and reviews. Maybe because of the language barriers, there were no communication with us on what they were doing as they were chatting (complaining) with each other while doing our hair.the result was not satisfied. We did appreciate the younger staffs there for their efforts of trying to help us, yet not to the senior one (they seemed to be very strict on the youngers)

Haircut was amazing! Exactly what I asked for and super reasonably priced. Salon was clean and everyone was friendly.

Very happy with Jae's work on my pre-coloured (damaged) hair. He was patient, knowledgeable, and kept expectations realistic!

Walked in without an appointment and was seen immediately. The salon is now on two floors and is spacious and clean. Sunny, my stylist, was fantastic! My hair is not the easiest to cut - it usually takes about 2-3 hours for a simple haircut, since I have deceptively thick hair. Sunny was fast and gave me exactly what I wanted. I loved my cut and will definitely be going back to see her. This was my best haircut in at least a decade!

I’d give it 1.5/5. I got scheduled for haircut +wash with older lady (i think she’s the store owner). She dismissed what I wanted for my haircut and just did her own thing. I tried showing her my reference pictures but she immediately dismissed them and continued to cut it the WAY SHE WANTED!

I wanted curtain bangs with layers and as you can see in the picture, the layers are uneven and choppy. There even is missing hair (circled part in photo)!

Only reason why it’s 1.5/5 is because staff were kind enough to fix it for me. I came back to fix it but it wasn’t to my liking. I feel too hesitant to ask for a second fix so now i’m letting my hair grow out

I was really hoping to like my new haircut as there are so many good reviews but, I am dissatisfied.

This is my second time visiting the salon & this time I brought my boyfriend to try it out! I got short bangs and a trim done by Judy and LOVED how it turned out. Roy did an amazing job styling and trimming his hair & he says he’s never going back to a barber again. Every location and stylist is great. Very happy with our experience every time. Thank you Goa!

This is third time to go to there. At first, a stuff looked like that she tried to refuse my ordering (digi-perm) cuz my hair had 3 times breached already. I promised her I would not complain, no matter what the consequences. After all she did perfectly. I was very impressed and satisfied with her skills. I am a little sad that we had very little conversation during the treatment since I am a talkative person, but I am glad that she performed to the best of her ability. I will go back again.

I had an appointment with Director Jin, but as she was unavailable, Jin (a man) did my haircut. I didn't get the exact haircut I showed to him, but pretty happy with the haircut it turned out to be.

I did it to Suah.but she was very kind and explained how to take care of it in detail, so I really liked it hahaha

차라리 안 깎는게 훨씬 나았음 예약했는데도 다른 선생님 배정하고 머리는 조져놓고 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 이 미용실 다신 안갑니다
참고로 머리가 ‘메쉬‘ 라서 왁스 안 바르면 안예쁘고 지저분하다길래 바르면 얼마나 이쁜가하고 선생님이 해준거 지하철 가는길에 한번 찍어봤습니다 ^^

1. Made an appointment with Sunny but she was busy with someone else and Ian did my haircut
2. When he washed my hair, the water went in my clothes and collar part of my sweater became wet

It looked much better before he cut my hair. Made an appointment with a specific person but they made someone else cut my hair and butcher it. Never coming back to this place again. Btw he said the hair is ‘mesh’ and its gonna look messy if you don’t use product so took a selfie right after he used the product in the subways to see how pretty it turned out:)

Me and my husband visited this place for the first time today and are very happy with our hair styling. Thanks to Ayaka my stylist and thanks to my husband's stylist too. I do not remember ger name but if i remember it started with Chi.

Love my haircut from Sunny! She looked at reference photos closely, explained how the haircuts in my references were not actually the same (lol), I picked the style I liked better and my haircut turned out exactly how I hoped. Price is great too.

I had a hair cut with the director, she was very friendly and knows what I want. The girl who washed my hair also massaged my head a bit at the end. Definitely will comeback regularly.

Today I went here hoping to find a haircut that suits my curly/wavy hair. Unfortunately due to the language barrier between us, we couldn't communicate properly. Instead of finding a style that suited me, the final results made my hair look way more frizzy and harder to style from the shortness. The cut looked decent at first from the products and styling but sadly looked awful when I got home. However, my last 2 visits here were wonderful with the barber Aiden. Just disappointed by quality with the price I paid at with this new other barber.

I came to retouch my straight perm and colour, I had been going to another salon for years and while my hair was a bit dried, what happen at Goa was irreparable.

The old lady overlapped the straightener chemicals on my already straighten hair instead of only the roots as I asked. This made any part that overlap get completely fried! Then the haircut done was awfully done, so uneven.

Since my hair was blonde, I also asked to make it dark and the colour was very sloppy and also uneven.

The only salvation was the old lady's daughter which came to salvage the haircut as best as she could along with a hair treatment.

I give it 2 stars instead of 1 because of how nice the staff is and the daughter. Honestly even the old lady was nice and welcoming and when I left I didn't notice how bad my hair was until I washed it at home and felt all the dead parts. Which I am still dealing with and will probably take over 1 year to fully grow back to health.

I live an hour away but the drive is worth it! I see Chihiro and she is a true professional. She takes her work serious and does an amazing job. I would suggest this place to anyone wanting a truly great haircut.

Bad experience. The older lady cut my hair. We didn’t communicate well in the very beginning, she finished the cutting so fast. I found it’s not my desired style. Dont think any barber would cut my hair in that way even there might be miscommunications. Spend 60$ to get about 20 mins service including wash and blow. Usually my long, thick hair need at least 30 mins trimming from other experienced barbers. Dont think it worths the price at all.

I got my haircut a month back and was back today again, and this time I had my wife with me because of tina, she is great with what she does, she is a professional efficient a gorgeous person, one of the best barber ever experienced in my life… she’s very good at what she does for both gender and I would keep coming back to GOA because of Tina….

Very expensive but worth the cut! Nice location, beautiful decoration and interior. Service was up to the mark and I was very satisfied. I got my haircut according to what I had planned to get. Did not fail me. The hairstylists are amazing and will do a great job! Just relax and sit while your hair is done perfectly!

The hair stylist cut my son's hair against the way it naturally grows, despite my telling her not to. We said to fix it and she made it worse. This was possibly the worst haircut I think I've ever seen. Mask nazis to the customers, while they chat and carry on maskless when they don't think anyone's watching. Garbage place.

After covid I was in dire need of a hair revival and decided to go to GOA on a whim. I called on a Sunday and was able to book an appointment the same day. I was lucky enough to come here after they had just expanded into the top floor. The new space was clean and elegant, the chairs were super comfy, it was all very high end and added to my experience. I wasn’t sure what exactly I wanted done but was lucky enough to consult with Aiden upon arrival. He was professional and kind, helping me navigate through the myriad of options. (Highly recommend him ^^). We settled upon a cut and colour and I was extremely happy with the result and experience. (There was even aromatherapy during the wash!). The price was unbeatable as well, probably the best overall value downtown. I really cannot recommend this salon enough, I will definitely be returning. Also, for those of you who only speak English, don’t worry I had no trouble communicating with anyone.

My absolute favorite place, if you are not happy you should just say so and let them know so they can remedy it, they will make sure to uphold the customer service standard. Make sure you go in and do some research on who you want to cut your hair, I recommend Min for the male haircuts.

I don’t normally write reviews, however, I feel that my experience at Goa Beauty and Hair Salon deserves some publicity. Like many others, I was eager to get my haircut as soon as salons opened up in step-2. In all honesty, I was very nervous going in to the salon because of the mixed reviews I had read online. But now that I am looking back, I am so glad that I stuck to my gut. Immediately upon entering, the environment was lively and fully prepared with Covid-19 precautions making me feel both excited and safe.

As a Korean, I was able to comfortably speak with the employees and further solidify my haircut plan. But even in situations where English was required, they never failed to engage in the conversation. However, I would still recommend that all non-Korean speakers come well prepared with pictures to show their hair stylist exactly what they want just in case! And just as a personal note, stand firm on the style you want but be open to the advice they give you for your hair! Had I not listened to some of the few ideas they gave, my hair would not look as good as it does now!

My amazing and generously kind hair stylist, Lilly, guided me in my haircut and let me know what would work best with my face shape and hair type. In the end, she gave me the exact cut I wanted even though I struggled to find the words to even describe it. The reference photos I brought definitely helped! I personally like engaging in conversations and I was glad that Lilly was able to match my energy. But for those who prefer a quiet cut, which I noticed other customers also preferred, they will surely be able to make it an equally comfortable environment for you.

Beyond my personal experience, the reason for my five stars is because of everything I observed indirectly. As I waited for my appointment, a gentleman, who seemed quite overwhelmed, came through the doors last minute and asked for a haircut. As you would expect, the store was full and completely busy. Even despite this, they offered the gentleman great hospitality and assisted him in the fastest and most professional manner. By squeezing him into the schedule, I believe one of the other customer’s appointment was shifted a bit back, however, the customer’s attitude was ever so generous. I guess it is those small genuine moments that make the difference, and in my case, make one’s experience even better. This small incident proved to me how great, not only the employees are, but the loyal customers. If you are looking for a safe, friendly, supportive, and happy hair cutting environment, I really recommend Goa Beauty and Hair Salon.

There's stylist named Seul Bi, I asked her so much details and I was very picky with my hair in the beginning but she held it so nicely without any hesitate.
I became regular there after, also I am always pleased to her. One of the best and always always always, quality service every visits.

I visited Goa Beauty Salon to get my hair into white blonde. I had previous hair colors that had grown out, with untoned hair bleach near my bangs.

My process was carried out by Mr. Sangwoo, who is very friendly, detailed and professional. Even though it was my first time there, him and other workers made me feel very comfortable during my stays (which was very long but so beautifully worth it). During the bleach processing, I looked around what other hairstylists were doing: I was very amazed by their overall professionalism and skills. You can get any stylists in there, and you would know, for sure, that you are gonna get what you went there for and more.

I didn't have a big hope at the beginning because my hair had so many splotches, but after seeing the stylists pull this off, I realized that this hair salon is the place to be to get a great hair style. I cannot recommend enough!

The level of service and quality this hair salon offered was unbelievable.

I had an appointment for a perm with stylist named Lily. She recommended ash brown hair colouring as well and I agreed as my hair was pretty patchy from home self-colouring. I'm so glad I listened to her cause my hair colour looked AMAZING! She also recommended a setting perm for me and it turned out beautifully.

I highly recommend getting your hair done here! Lily made sure I felt comfortable throughout the whole process and even stayed later after closing time to finish my hair. Also my hair still felt nice and smooth after the colouring and perming. I would definitely go back for my next hair.

Honestly the best hair salon experience I’ve ever had! The owner was such a sweet lady who took the time to complete my hair transformation from a pitch back colour to honey blonde - even though the process ended at about 2 o’clock in the morning! Truly a dedicated and friendly family business who clearly cares a lot about their clients!

I would not recommend this place to anyone because they did a terrible job on my hair. Not the color I asked for and when they did the bleaching, they did it very rude so that my hair was very painful! They cannot understand English properly! Just don't go there!

It’s been quite a journey for me to find a good hair stylist in downtown Toronto but I finally found a place I was able to settle in. I just got my 3rd haircut from the stylist named YoungJae from Goa and I am just really happy I found her. Now that I went to her several times, I don’t have to say a single word and she just does her magic for me. She is an absolute joy to be around, extremely detail oriented and she really makes sure you are happy with the results. Overall price for this place is reasonable for downtown standards as well. I’ve already recommended her to some of my friends.
