People were so kind at the food was great, I asked for some fortune cookies they gave me a huge handful. Definitely coming again

The food we ordered, with the exception of crabmeat wontons that were ok, was not good at all! Very strange flavours nothing I’ve tasted before and I have been to many different Chinese restaurants. Too bad as it was a very expensive meal and not enjoyable. The spicy dishes are not spicy at all. They are very sweet so don’t be fooled by the little pepper beside the dish or make sure you add more heat. I asked for it to be mild and it ended up tasting like they added sugar. Oh and I did call to try and get resolution before posting this.

Unlike some of the other reviewers, I always find my food from here very tasty and a great value. I particularly love the combination plate options, and they usually feed me for two meals. They use the right amount of sauce, and the portions are very generous. Thanks, Golden City!

Good food for reasonable prices. The general tso's chicken is mouthwatering. I would eat it everyday for the rest of my life if they gave it to me for free. The fortune cookies are also the best in the world.

We go to eat here at least once a week for lunch. Sesame chicken and rice with a spring roll, all amazing. Best spring roll I've had in a long time. Chicken balls with rice and egg roll, again so so good. Clean oil, rice is always tasty.

Long time customer picked up take out order, all good. Paid with debit upon returning home I noticed that the total has been altered without my consent. I expected the amount on the bottom of the receipt would be entered into the debit machine, where a tip option is usually offered to customers. Sadly, although not a large amount, I will not be returning as I find this practice very shady.
Won't let me post photos on here, showing receipt vs debit transaction, but my total was $19.30 and they without my consent added a $1.71 tip which changed it to $21.01

We ordered delivery and a significant portion of the chow mein noodles were uncooked. I had to cook it in our own wok lol.

When we called to politely inform them what happened, the person who answered was rude and telling us that we were wrong and the noodles were cooked. The dry brittle pile of noodles sticks in front of me begged to differ. Also we ordered for a certain time, confirmed on the phone, and the delivery person came 45 minutes early.

Food was ok once I fried it myself though so it gets 2 stars.

Read online that this place ranked as one of the top 3 best Chinese food restaurants in London. I was so excited to try it but couldn’t have been more disappointed. The chicken rice was completely flavourless, the beef and veggies as well. In fact the veggies were so undercooked, almost raw and reminded me more of a beef stew style than Chinese food. The chicken balls were your typical chicken balls. I ended up giving my dinner to my husband and deciding to have a bowl of Shreddies for dinner instead. I would not recommend this place.

Food is so bad. We get chinese takeouts often and the food here is way below average. We got 2 combos, one was sweet and sour chicken with fried rice and other sweet and sour chicken with rice and General Tao's chicken, the meat was SO breaded, deepfried and absolutely tasteless. Plus they soaked all the rice in plum sauce, all we could taste is sweet sauce, no other flavor to anything. The dumplings were okay, the only thing we ate and could not eat anything else. Never going there again.

Love the food here. I always get the C3 and the crab and cream cheese wonton. The C3 is the fried rice, chicken balls smothered in sweet and sour sauce, with chicken chop suey and one egg roll. The chicken balls are my favourite of all Chinese places, and the egg roll is solid. I’ve yet to have a chop suey I don’t like so I can’t give them too much credit for it being good because I think it’s hard to butcher. I highly recommend you get the cream cheese and crab wonton.so good. Overall, this place never disappoints.

Price: The price was average for the food.

Atmosphere: Poor. The location is walk-in only and doesn't look very welcoming. The order taker is behind sheet plastic attached to 2x4's and communicates through a speaker. In the meanwhile, you'll wait in a small, fairly plain area with no seating.

Service: No particular service. Interacting through a sheet of plastic and a speaker isn't a great experience. I did see the order deal politely with a difficult customer that was being rude/difficult. However, the same person also asked a lady that had come in with a grocery cart of groceries to take her cart and go outside to wait for 20 minutes. Not an unfair position, but alternate approaches like pushing the cart closer to the wall could have been used.

Food:
Wanton Soup - Wife had it, its her favourite soup, she said it was good.
Hot and Sour Soup - My favourite. I judge a Chinese food restaurant by this as my metric on how good it will be. The soup had an odd chemical flavour to it that I couldn't figure out and haven't run across before. The body of the soup was thinner than it should be, the flavour was very weak, and it had almost no heat to it.
Spring Rolls - Average.
Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls - Sauce was good, but slightly watery. Chicken balls were good.
Chicken Fried Rice - Very flavourless. I almost never use soy sauce, but had to add it to get some flavour.
Egg Rolls - Wife had them and seemed happy enough.
General Tao's Chicken - No heat at all. Flavour was also lacking. Although nice that it didn't have the bright colouring often added to this dish.
Beef and Vegetables with Almonds - Nice. But again, it was lacking seasoning.
Fortune Cookies - Standard.

Overall - Ok food. But generally lacking seasoning/flavour/spice. Walk-in experience isn't great. Average pricing.

This review is not on their food but more on the service. I was just here grabbing food with my White Boyfriend and I am a brown women, There is a old mid 50's ginger hair white lady (the only white person working there) on her shift or maybe training, we place our order and are waiting at the restaurant, I give my boyfriend a hug and he gives me a kiss on my forheard, the white lady not sure her name, tells us to "NOT DO THAT HERE" and "GET A ROOM". Awkard: : : I ask to speak to the owner and make sure they don't have a No hug policy, which they do not. First enconter to I call this white karen. I hope they either fire her or never hire her if she is on training, worst experience of my life. Like what the hell lady mind ur business at work

Food was terrible. There was no beef in our beef and broccoli, rice or beef and broccoli had no seasoning or sauce this used to be our go to place, have to reconsider

Best Chinese food in London, chicken balls are full of chicken not just balls of dough sauce is nice and thick and not watered down, friendly staff, and driver, highly recommend this restaurant. Thank You So Much

Our go to place. A couple times the food wasn't the greatest but for the most visits it's delicious and the lady at the front is always cheerful.

Ordered for the first time, with other friends, as our regular go-to Chinese restaurant was n/a. Pleasantly surprised, all of the food was hot and tasty! Pricier then Little Panda (our reg place) but I will defn order from here again.

Best little take out place for Chinese food. Service is fast, I always order ahead and it is ready when I arrive.

We ordered take out. It was ready quickly and on time. Good portion sizes and everything tasted great! We definitely will order here again.

Ordered dinner for two Jan 14th 2023. Quantity was minimal and quality was poor. Chicken was rubbery, rice was tasteless. Overpriced at $34. This was our 2nd time ordering from here and both times were very disappointing.

2023 01 14 recommended by a friend, I ordered Wong tong soup, I love that it was seasoned well, low salt, my Dr.thanks you. My wife loved the pork fried rice too, again, it was fresh and flavorful, not a lot of salt, we also ordered thai dop voy.it was fresh tasty and delicious.

Think we found our new Chinese Restaurant.

Order C10 & C14, Amounted to 35.03, I wish I did cancel my order because was a total waste of my money. The pepper steak had 5 pieces of steak, 30 pieces of vegetables. Awful, Will never order again!
