The service was great. My husband was suffering from cancer and they made a special dish for him with very little spice. We also ordered noodles, fried rice, soup, chilli chicken, ginger beef and general tso chicken. Everything tasted amazing. Thank you so much making it a memorable night. Wonderful spot. Best fish Manchurian I have ever had. Everything you could tell was made fresh. Lacking a little salt in the crushed chilli oil they serve on the side. Otherwise really delicious and clean food. Wonderful place!

Very intense craving for Chinese and a quick search for halal hakka spots led me and my husband to this place. We ordered a plate of chicken dumplings in appetizer - absolutely amazing! Also ordered beef chili with rice and their signature mixed chowmein. Everything was just exquisite! Loved the food. The ambience was also great. Highly recommended!

I have ordered food from Golden Joy multiple times for take out. The food has been excellent, consistently. The service is amazing and has that warm personal touch. I always feel welcomed when I go there. There was a time when I needed my order to be picked up around the time they open the restaurant. About 10 min.before their scheduled opening of the restaurant, I got a call to say that my order was ready. I was very touched that they would come in early to get my order ready. I will continue to place my orders at Golden Joy.

Service is superb and quick. Staff and owners are very nice and friendly. Chinese food is very good in taste. Menu variety is also very good.

Awesome Takeout Spot!

Such a cool find! Stopped by for takeout after work and I'm seriously impressed! The food stayed super hot even after driving a while in traffic. That's a win!

Tried the Manchurian Chow Main, Kung Pao Chicken, and Hot & Sour Soup – flavors were out of this world! Manchurian had good spice, but the Kung Pao Chicken was the star. Crispy chicken with amazing gravy!

Prices are a bit up there, but here's the upside – big portions! You could share with friends. So, if you're after awesome flavors, this place is it. No regrets, trust me!

Didn’t even know there was Hakka in this area, we’ve been driving to the other end of town…friend told us about this spot so we went to check it out - SOLID.

Flavours were awesome, a really good variety on the menu. I was looking for chilli beef and we have a vegetarian with us. Everyone left full and happy - and the prices to portion are straight value.

I had the chili chicken lunch special and it was made fresh, tasty, and spicy. Good value as it came with a pop. Service was quick and prompt. I haven’t tried any of their other items on the menu

First time trying this place. Chili chicken was good but the Combo B and Pad Thai were lacking some flavour and a bit dry too. Fairy decent portions. Friendly service. Will try this place again in the future!

The Hakka chowmein was excellent as well as the chicken hot and sour soup. Very Calcutta like flavor and turns out that the owners are from Calcutta themselves. Really enjoyed ourselves with the meal, will definitely come back.

We've moved very far from this area so I can't come here very often. Every time we look for Hakka food near our new location, we miss Golden Joy. Their chicken pakora and chili chicken are the best I've ever tasted, and I've tried quite a few Hakka restaurants in the GTA.

I love this place! Everyone who loves Hakka food should try it out. The best part are the people who work here. They serve with love and it shows in the quality and taste of their food.

I ordered the Manchurian Chicken and I found it WAY too saucy and sweet. The flavor I found not great compared to other Hakka restaurants. At least the quantity was good.

Golden Joy is fantastic! Owned by two of the loveliest people ever, who are very supportive of their neighbourhood. The food is always hot, fresh and delicious. Really love the Manchurian Tofu and the Veg fried rice, but honestly everything is great. Vegan friendly menu and they're very flexible about dietary restrictions. Can't say enough good things about these folks, you definitely won't regret ordering from them!

Fried rice with frozen peas and carrots. I can easily cook with better ingredients than that and I am not a chef.

We ordered the general Tao chicken, Kung pao chicken Golden Joy crispy beef, house special noodles. It all tasted great and would recommend, even the chef came out to greet us. Extremely friendly staff.

I have tried a lot of hakka places and wanted to give this place a try. I just had an order of chicken dumplings to try yesterday evening.oh it was meaty and delicious. Will be back for some entrees real soon.
