Golden Maki Japanese Restaurant

Very good Maki rolls. Only issue we always have is waiting time. When we place phone order we always ask how long it takes and usually they say 20 min but unfortunately most times we waited 40 min up to 1.5 hours. Just be honest so we don't have to come so early and just wait.

I think i might have gone on a bad day, but it was extremely busy and the sushi was literally warm which was unpleasant.i believe i ate some bad salmon sashimi or some bad BBQ eel.the quality of the food looked different than the pictures in these reviews.my dinner also ended up being over $40 for all of that: (

Awesome AYCE restaurant! I’ve been here a few times and food is always fresh and excellent quality. Their menu has a lot of variety and you just use the iPad to order. Servers are always kind and attentive. The restaurant is nice and clean and has pretty lights! Highly recommend:)

We have got takeout a few times from this place. There sushi is delicious, tempura is awesome prices are very reasonable and their staff are kind and friendly. They even added a free miso soup and small salad to our order complimentary. Highly recommend!

Food was pretty good, but the staff is pretty slow with getting the food out.or even not at all, or giving food to wrong table (twice). I don't think it's worth $39.99/person for lunch.

Zero complaints. Everything had great flavor. Nothing was greasy or overcooked. High quality ingredients and great people running the place. We were very happy

Came for mother's day lunch with My family on Sunday. A bit of a wait as it was a busy day but was seated promptly after guests had left. Cute and cozy atmosphere and friendly servers. The place is clean, washrooms are a little dated but not an issue for us. Food was great, we were missing out fried rice but we were stuffed so didn't bother asking for it. They have a larger selection of desserts compared to other places I have been. On the menu it will indicate (1) piece so be prepared for that as in, you will get 1 tempura if you order that for the table not 1 basket of it. I liked that concept as you are able to try more without committing to a whole dish of something you may not like.overall we really enjoyed it, price is reasonable if not cheaper than other ayce sushi.

The food was absolutely amazing. The only issue we had was servers bringing us some foods we had not ordered and entire second order being forgotten. Polite service though.

Ordered Golden Maki for the first time this past weekend for my bday and accidentally came a few hours before my pickup time but they made my platter right away and even got us waters while we waited! Lovely establishment with good prices and kind people!

Just updating my Review: The service here has really gone up. No more ridiculous wait times. The food as always is Top Notch. By far probably the best sushi place in Newmarket for take out.

I regularly come purchasing some food in this spot. I like the prompt customer service and well made food. Fantastic work.
