Staff were super nice and even changed my drink last minute cause I was indecisive. But I now have my new favourite drink the matcha mango tea with mango kanteen jellies

Not the best bbt shop in loo. There are better ones in the area. It’s a staple, but i wouldn’t say it’s the best. Their drinks are good, BUT the bubble waffle is not worth it. They probably just use a pancake mix, so it doesn’t really taste like egg waffle (if you’re looking for egg waffle). I also got their soft serve ice cream a few months ago and it’s good if you add toppings to it

Their drink quality is still good but the cup cap. I know its inflation and cog is high. So just hold ur cup carefully. I ordered Pearl Bubble Waffle and by some magic, its Original Bubble Waffle on the bill, its my bad, I should’ve double checked my order.

I had asked if the drink was sweet, they said no it is so sweet almost all ice and not tasty. Will not be returning to Gongcha. The two girls were not very friendly or welcoming.

It would be a good study spot with nice atmosphere if it weren't for their employee watching videos on their phone at full volume while on shift.rather disruptive

Drinks were great! Ordered the bubble waffle, this was not good. The taste and texture was not what I was expecting from a bubble waffle. Would not recommend if you've had real bubble waffles before.

Tried a custom drink of caramel milk tea with creme brulee milk foam and coffee jelly. It's amazing!

They make the best Matcha Mango with Kenton Jelly that I've had out of all of the Gong Cha's I've been to

Serving size for ice cream was on the smaller size, and one of the flavors was unavailable

Really disappointed with the service. Despite having 3 employees, they could only serve 1 customer in almost 20 minutes. I hope they would improve the speed and value customers time.

I was a bit disappointed with my experience at this bubble tea place. While the drink I ordered was decent, the boba was overcooked and tough to chew. Additionally, the atmosphere was a bit too loud and crowded for my liking. Overall, it was just an okay experience.

I always swing by for a drink when I'm in town. Very clean store & the customer service is always exceptional.

I come here all the time and order on uber eats as well. They get my drinks perfect each and every time i love gong cha!

I loveeee this place. The owner and staffs were extremely friendly, kind and informative. Great bubble tea place with quality drinks. I hope they are recognized for their customer services. Overall awesome! Definitely come back!

I had the “softie with a twist” here but it was bland. Softie that you get at McDonald’s is much better and cheaper.

Other drinks are fine too. If you choose milk shakes, you have to wait for a while for the ice to melt and stir it well otherwise, if you take a sip through the straw all you get is ice/ice water.

Love Gong cha and everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable about responding to any questions. My pictured drink is the Creme Brulee Smoothie with 30% sugar, double pudding and tapioca. So good and not really sweet. I also asked for less sugar with the brulee part of the drink.

I’ve been going here since it opened and it’s horrible. Every drink is so diluted, I taste more water than tea. They give 10 tapioca and this drink costs $6.50. I can buy the same drink at now tea with 3 toppings AND a LARGE at that same price. Oh and the drink actually tastes like bubble TEA. Kitchener Gong Cha location is 100x better and the Vaughan one. Not sure why this location has such low quality.

I tried their one of their drink on their exclusive menu, strawberry Oreo milk tea with 30% sugar. It has a strong strawberry flavour and the Oreo was so crunchy in the bubble tea. However, it was pretty sweet for me (I ordered 30% sugar). The cheese foam on top of the bubble tea makes the tea so much better! The staffs were responsive. The other drink was the brown sugar milk tea with regular sugar. It was very sweet but the milk tea was very very good.

Pretty good bubble tea with fresh tasting slushes/smoothies. Relaxing atmosphere with nice staff and good music. I enjoy the strawberry latte with creme brûlée milk foam which gives it a torched sugar flavour. I recommend going earlier than later as they sometimes run out of pearl. The croffles are pretty good (creme brûlée croffle pictured). There are some drinks not listed in their menu that are on the screen slideshow so pay attention there. It's a little bit odd considering their "exclusive 8" isn't even on their official menu. A little unfortunate because they gave me ice when I ordered no ice and the label on the drink also says no ice.

Tapioca is very hard, the wait times are crazy long and the bubble tea isn’t as good as other places: (Waited 30 minutes inside store for order. It’s worth waiting at Sweet Dreams Tea Shop but not here: (

11 minute wait, the tapioca/pearls were hard and not soft and chewy as chattime. The milk tea was very bland. 2 n 1 of bad stuff for gong cha in 1 night. Taking my business elsewhere.

Visited for my favourite drink Pearl milk tea but the Pearl is not that soft and big anymore. The Pearl is small and hard to eat.

I love their bubble tea as their milk is plant based for most of their teas. Their bubble waffles are to die for especially the mango ones

Asked for a drink in the menu and they said they didn’t make that here, ordered a different drink and a bubble waffle and waited 30 minutes and my order still isn’t ready. Went up to the counter and told them I was here for 30 minutes for my order and the worker said sorry waiting for more tapioca, but was not even notified. I left to go purchase other things while waiting for the order and when I came back it still was not ready. I total I waited 45 minutes for this order. I would have appreciated if they told me prior that tapioca wasn’t ready so I could have saved time. I am truly disappointed at this Gongcha location and the time management….

I love the milk teas they offer. Pricing is very reasonable. They don’t have the biggest selection compared to other bubble tea shops I’ve been too but what they offer is delicious. The team there is quick and efficient. 10/10 recommend

The milk tea was amazing as expected. Service was good. So glad they opened a Gong Cha here. Been craving it.

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to visit Gong Cha. I was super excited because I heard they were having a $1 bbt promotion with Wealthsimple, @wealthsimple. First, I got the Mango Bubble Waffle ~ this was my first time trying it, it was very unique and absolutely delicious. It was very filling and sweet, I’ll definitely try it again. Next, I ordered the Royal Milk Tea, it was also my first time trying this flavour of bbt ~ it was a smooth drink and it was a perfect combination with the waffle. Finally, I got the Mango Smoothie for a sweetness refresher ~ it was definitely the perfect drink for a chill fall drink. Overall, this place is spectacular. I highly recommend the Mango Bubble Waffle due to its unique appearance and interesting flavour. Check this place out, they have so many Brewed Tea, Fresh Milk Bbt, Teaffogato, and many seasonal drinks!

First time trying here. I chose Lychee tea. It was good. Another drink I would like to try were passion fruit, mango, peach. Due to supplies shortage, I could not try yet. Hopefully, they will be available next time I visit.

Gong Cha is always a reliable and solid choice for bubble tea. From the classics to uniquely wild drinks; you won't be disappointed in the flavour profile. If you never been to Gong Cha and want to try something new then I recommend the crème brulee brown sugar smoothie. Customizations are available for your drinks. Choose the level of ice, sugar, and toppings. The speed and quality of service has always been consistent at this location. Gong Cha is the spot for superb boba.

edit: the staff were not really great the second time I went. Was ignored when I walked in even though I was the only customer and there were four (4) staff, then when I ordered it seemed like the girl at the register was not paying attention to me. When I came home and took a sip, I realized she had also given me the wrong drink. Gave me plain black milk tea which usually I wouldn't order because I don't like it. It tastes alright though, surprisingly! So four stars I guess

Asked for 30% sweetness for my drink and it was way too sweet. Can’t imagine what a full sweetness would even taste like. And the flavors are not good at all, tasted fake… disappointed

Pretty good bubble tea shop with a good variety of drinks with standard selection of milk and fruit teas.

Enjoyed the milk tea drinks but found the fruit tea drink overly sweet even though sugar level selected was 70%, will try lower next time.

Staff were friendly and efficient overall making drinks.

Great service and good selection of drinks. Tried the Hong Kong-Style Mango Pomelo from the Pomelo series with less ice. It was very refreshing and tasty. The drink had lychee jelly and pomelo pulp. The sugar level is fixed, but a bit too sweet for my liking.

I was waiting in line for close to half an hour. The line got so long that people had to wait outside on the street. I understand there was only one staff who was doing everything but like, Jesus Christ, taking over 5 mins to produce every single milk tea is just rediculous.

I ordered pearl milk tea yesterday. I felt sick almost right away after consuming the product. I was vomiting the rest of the day. My bf who took couple sips had upset stomach, however, my roommate felt wonderful (three of us had dinner together 1 hour before I ordered bubble tea). So it can't be the food.
I know that boba seeds cannot sit longer than 4-6 hours and be used in tea. Otherwise, people feel sick. I am saying that because boba pearls in tea were too soft that can evidence, those boba spent quite long time waiting for being put in tea. Please, consider that.

I originally came here for my free bubble tea through Wealth Simple but ended up coming for more as I loved it.

This place really sticks out to me bubble tea wise in the area as they have soft serve. The taro flavour was amazing & I like that they serve new flavours every so often to keep it different.

Pricing is also very very reasonable.

Nice clean looking place with friendly stuff. The drink felt a little watered down to me. Overall, a good experience, convenient location near the university.

I enjoy bubble tea in general, so it’s really nice to have such a cool bubble tea joint so close to my place! I really like the brown sugar milk tea with black pearls!

Ordered three times this month and was pleasantly surprised consistently! I love their taro milk teas. Definitely becoming one of my favorite bbt places in KW!

Went with honeydew milk tea. Hadn't been to BBT in ages, and didn't realize there were so many options. Nice to know the milk was all non dairy, plant based

It was good! Would give it 4 stars but my MATCHA bubble waffle was a little burnt and had no air? It was flat. I think it was a new employee in training so I brushed it off. Other than that it was good!

I don't ever write reviews but this was an experience that I'll never forget.

Went to this location for the first time and was disappointed by the long wait time and customer service from the employees. Waited too long for my order. (roughly 25 minutes after placing order) Burnt waffle, drink tasted sour as if it was expired milk and the cup was not sealed properly. It will be my last visit.

Staff were really friendly and the restaurant appears very clean & covid-safe. I tried the lychee oolong tea with lychee kanten jelly. So good! 70% sweetness is perfect for this one imo.

Great service & tasty drinks! Went for the first time today and we’ll definitely be back. Andreas was fantastic in helping my kids and I decide and figure out what kinda of drinks we’d like. We got the peach green tea bubble tea and a lychee smoothie. All were delicious!

Ordered a honey green tea with coconut jelly today. It was pretty good, but they burned the green tea a little so it was slightly bitter. Service was decent and speedy, but the store was so humid that I felt bad for the 4-6 employees bustling around in close quarters behind the counter.

This must be a new one cause I’ve been here in Waterloo and found this new Gong Cha! I’ve been an avid fan of Gong Cha and I’m glad they were able to put up one in Waterloo! The taste is still the same (never disappoint). We ordered Milk Foam Wintermelon milk tea and Wintermelon milk tea and we love it! Gong Cha for me is the best. It brings back the memories of when I was living in Asia. I’ve tried varieties of Milk tea and this one is close to home.

Boutique - type bubble tea place located near UW campus. This place does get busy in the evening and can have long lines.

Bubble tea options are amazing and defs worth a try, featured is the (9) brown sugar tea.

Prices are alright and staff are nice:)

So happy Gongcha opened in Waterloo! I got the lychee green tea, and it was soo good! The staff were also so nice! I have been going every day since because I’m so addicted

My feeling on this placed are pretty mixed. The bubble teas i got tasted great. I love the variety of drinks. It was the experience I had. I went twice over a week just to make sure it wasn't a one time situation.

1st time was good. The male staff was very friendly. I think he may be a supervisor? However we were not acknowledged when we came in, and the capacity rules were not enforced. I was doing a pick up order and waited in line for 15 minutes (my drinks were ready on the table) seeing as they were a little busy.just sugesting that a quick "hello we'll take your order shortly" could've avoided the wait time and made more room for other customers

The second time was a little worse. Drinks were once again great. It was the experience. Once again placed a mobile order and came in to pick it up. Again no acknowledgment by staff (there was 4 girls), which I can get over, but while waiting to speak to a staff member another customer came from outside and bypassed EVERYONE in line to say she called in for her drink to pick up. The staff instead of asking the client to wait (she didn't even prepay and drink wasnt even ready) served her right away! After that an uber driver came in and was served. All before myself or any other customers standing in line were even said hello to. I ended up wait 20 minutes while the staff hurriedly made the other pushy mobile order pick ups. (at this time including time waiting from initiating mobile order was almost an hour)

The drinks here are great! No doubt about that. But something needs to be done about pushy mobile order people coming in disregarding other customers (who in this case are mobile orders too). Maybe a mobile order pick up line? Something to separate the lines to avoid confusion and wait times.

I want to go back for the drinks since they are so good. The experience just needs a definite upgrade

Too much waiting.the staffs are nice but slow to move over. They seriously need to have more staffs.got my drinks in 45 min.no one cares over capacity in the store, busy with mobile pick up and Uber and people bump each other. It was chaotic.

I bought a grape yogurt smoothie and a taro coconut pearl.even tho I chose light ice level, the teas had way more diluted flavors.

Got a mango green tea with mango kanten jelly, at 30% sugar the drink wasn't too sweet and the tea flavour came through nicely! Wait time was super short for myself and my group of friends:)

My favourite bubble tea place in the waterloo region! Especially loved the service from the Korean guy!

Unfortunately the order I received contained black specs floating around which appeared to be rust flecks. It may have been from the equipment, definitely not from the tea/ingredients and was present in all 3 of the drinks ordered. This is disappointing as I really do like Gong Cha from previous stores I have been to in other areas.
