The number of reviews talking about food poisoning is astounding. My boyfriend had to go to the ER due to food poisoning from this place. Don’t go here

I remember how I loved their Chicken with Creamy Truffle sauce but had it recently, it was literally more a soup drenched in my rice, more liquidy than saucy. Yeah, kind of disappointed. Also the drinks do not come in actual cups anymore. It is all takeout containers, which is quite sad to look at. How can you have a red bean drink with ice cream be put in a takeout drink container?

Order through the QR code by scanning the menu with your phone. If paid by cash, you now get only a 5% discount. Service was ok. Could be friendlier, depending on the staff. The HK cafe menu ends by 8pm.

Good thing is the place is huge so a wait for a table wouldnt be too long. Lots of free parking, even underground parking.

This is my favourite go to brunch/dinner restaurant in markham! It’s a cafe infused bar and they have tons of foods u typically can find at pubs and cafes.i always get the crab cake benedict or the smoked salmon crossiant.the portions are HUGE and they always are super accommodating.

Food was great buy service from the workers should be absolutley better. It was difficult to get someone to come to the table and when one of the dishes came to the table, the lady bringing it just kept it on the table without her saying what the dish was. During our meal, nobody came to our table and asked us how the food was or if we needed more water or anything else.

This place has a nice atmosphere. Serves things that are slightly more interesting than the traditional HK “cha chan tang”. Prices are not unreasonable. The food is between 4-5star. I’ve never had something that I disliked from this place. But not everything was fantastic. I give overall 5star if you want to try something diff and have a nicer atmosphere to hang out with friends.

Huge menu.as is often the case with places that offer many many things on their menu, the food was just ok. Mediocre, overpriced food with really good service and tons of parking.

Nice atmosphere, and friendly staff. Didn't have to wait for that long for a Friday lunch. It was actually quite packed and every table was full. I guess they are spaced out enough. The restaurant was clean and the food came quite quickly. The curry fishballs were really good. The baked spaghetti Bolognese and baked Portuguese chicken were also delicious.

The portion for assorted grill chicken/pork rice is massive.

There’s not much service to talk about, if you need something you ask, very typical Chinese restaurant. Once you order it feels like a fast food joint, everything comes to the table in around 5 minutes.

they gave us a very small table for 2.not enough room to put anything.ordering menu in their app is very unclear. ASKED THEM TO REMOVE THE ADDITIONAL BUTTER WE MISTAKENLY ADDED, THEY SAID THEY WILL BUT THEY DID NOT REMOVE IT OFF THE BILL!

food was bad, very very salty.not just my dish, all the orders we ordered.

NO AC restaurant? Its 29degrees outside, i ordered ice lemon tea and i was still sweating like a running tap.overall it was very uncomfortable dining here.not coming back.

Not the most amazing thing I’ve ever eaten but pretty good. Hits the spot with classic favourites with adequate trendy items on their menu to keep people coming back. We got take out and so can’t comment on the dine in experience. The decor was pleasant and atmosphere lively while we were picking up our order. The main attraction is their prices and deals. Great value.

The food here is amazing and service is so quick. My favorite was the brisket and rice dish. I liked it so much that I ordered another one to go.

I really love seafood, so I can recommend this establishment. It is not the first time I have been here, but I can say with certainty that you will like the cuisine. The products are fresh, the room is clean and cozy. The staff always meet and see you off with a smile. The prices are slightly above average, but it is worth it.

It got worse and worse, two people ate two different chicken chop rice respectively, and they all had diarrhea when they got home!

Menu can be a bit overwhelming but when you figure out what you want and order the food (via QR code on your phone) it comes fairly quickly. The quality of food is excellent. The Air Conditioner wasn’t working properly so it was very humid inside. I would return.

Quality of food has steadily declined in the past year. Worse off is that the servers are horrible. They're cold, not even a hint of a smile, no thank you or anything. Seems like they don't even want your business. Not going back again.

It's a bit overpriced for the quality you get. The atmosphere is great for hanging out with friends, however, and we never feel rushed.

Very good place for some Hong Kong-ese food/Cafe style Hong Kong snack foods. Been here a few time. Usually good eats. Try Hong Kong-ese Style Club Sandwhich, Portuguese Chicken rice and Bolognese Spagetti.

Me too I don't like the QR code to place order. The terms and conditions for free wifi are very bad.
Food is just average. One side of the restaurant make you feel like you are in a pub, but the western dishes are so so. I would rather go to a pub for the real experience.

Bar menu is expensive and not really worth it. But the Hong Kong cafe menu is fantastic. Decently priced, food arrives hot, and servers are not rude (unlike many HK cafes).

Favourite foods: anything from their fusion options (cause it’s fun and adventurous lol), anything from their baked rice / spaghetti (tastes authentic). Love that they have free cold drink too. Feels like a great deal especially when other HK cafes need to +$1 for cold drink.

My kids love their tomato minced meat baked rice. I have not met anyone who does not like this dish.

Their cha siu and fried egg rice, curry chicken are also very popular.

They are always busy, but they have more than sufficient waitresses to service the floor. They are very attentive.

One downside is the place is very noisy despite the high ceiling. If you have a large group their of a VIP room for you.

Oh, one last thing. Milktea is good, I would rate it #2 in Markham.

Standard asian cafe / dinner location. Food is pretty good and flavourful. Definitely not the best I’ve ever had but still a decent option. Prices are a bit expensive for what it is but the food is very filling.

The clams with “good catch blend” sauce and mild spicy was soooooooo delicious! We only ordered 1lb shared between 4 people (wasn’t enough in my opinion).

Baked bolognese was flavourful and saucy - decent portion.

Terrible experience. We arrived before 8pm and ordered two items from the Café menu and one item from the seafood menu. Two out of the three items arrived fairly quick but the third item didn’t come after waiting for additional 30min. No one checked on us, and the reason was the kitchen mixed up the order. We couldn’t order the item cuz it’s passed last call. As for compensation, the manager told us to order anything else without additional cost, but the chef says they couldn’t do it… Total disappointment.

First time here. Pretty busy place. Waitstaff was alright, friendly and attentive enough. Food was good, big portions. Interesting menu. Overall I would return just to try additional items from their menu and I do recommend to others to try who like a variety of different foods.

Visited again today, I ordered Baked Curry Pork Chop Rice and Baked Black Pepper Chicken Chop Spaghetti. Red bean ice and frozen mandarin duck. When it was time to pay the bill, I found frozen mandarin ducks. Extra charge. Ask the waiter. There is no extra charge for coffee, milk tea and mandarin ducks. This restaurant Ming Tiao is a bit tricky. Yuanyang is milk tea and coffee. Dishonest restaurants charge indiscriminately.
